I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 643: Chapter 75: Fury! Emotional! (Part 2)

”The main referee has given Real Madrid one red card and four yellow cards.”

”Cavaleiro received two yellows and a red, getting sent off. Casillas, Ramos, and Chen Zhong protested and received yellow cards, Pepe got a yellow for a tactical foul.”

”Importantly, during this period, Sevilla definitely gained an advantage, especially just now.”

”A very questionable penalty decision, but the main referee made no indication.”

”This allowed Sevilla to seize a counterattack opportunity while Real Madrid players were stunned and incredulous, leading to Pepe’s foul and the series of yellow cards.”

”In these ten minutes, we can see Mourinho on the sideline is nearing a meltdown!”

”Referee Gomez has been so harsh with his team, but with Sevilla, he’s been more than lenient.”

”He needs to calm down, referee Gomez needs to calm down.”

Mourinho on the sidelines couldn’t sit still at all; the events of these ten minutes were enough to drive him crazy.

If both teams were judged this harshly, although Mourinho would have something to say, he wouldn’t be so upset.

But this kind of ”unfairness” made Mourinho feel like a fire was burning within him, making him uncomfortable, making him suffer, making him angry.

Moreover, what made Mourinho more speechless was that this main referee Gomez clearly wasn’t bribed but had an emotional breakdown, officiating with bias.

The boos from the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium were unbearable. In football, some players have even suffered mental breakdowns and lost the desire to play because of the intense booing.

But is this referee so fragile?

What no one can deny is that referee Gomez is officiating with emotion. If he were in a normal state of mind, those apathetic moments wouldn’t have happened.

Then Chen Zhong, Pepe, Ramos wouldn’t have had yellow cards, and even earlier, Casillas wouldn’t have had a yellow card. Isn’t it just because his mind collapsed and he emotionally gave cards for talking too much!?

Mourinho’s anger and frustration aren’t entirely because of the referee, and the booing from Real Madrid fans isn’t entirely targeted at the referee either.

The reason for such booming boos in this match also has to do with the sideline refereeing team in this match.

The guy near the coaching area seemed to have it in for Real Madrid, giving at least three incorrect offside calls, with good plays being whistled as offside. Good plays were blown dead, called offside again and again.

Real Madrid, even though it sometimes plays possession football, with Chen Zhong as the core for short pass wall passes,

but Real Madrid isn’t Barcelona after all. The ”Galaxy Battleship” mainly relies on penetrating through balls, and randomly calling Real Madrid offside is like cutting off their lifeline.

It’s like in a duel, one person is a swordsman who only trained the fast sword, with thrusting as his specialty, but the rules forbid thrusting...

What, you want him to slash with the sword?

When Ramos was given a yellow card, he couldn’t hold back anymore. His expression seemed to say: Hey, my temper, damn it.

However, Chen Zhong immediately pulled Ramos into a hug.

”Calm down, Sergio.”

”He.” Ramos wanted to say something, even showing his tattooed arm, but Chen Zhong said calmly: ”He’s clearly nuts, we can’t argue with him. We need to win this match and then deal with him slowly.”

”Trust me, we will win.”

”Calm down, Sergio.”

Ramos glanced at referee Gomez. Gomez was staring over here, his expression seemingly saying, go on, keep talking, I’ll give you two yellows and a red, send you off, believe it?

At this moment, it appeared as if the words ”completely mad” were written on the referee’s forehead, as if he’d decided to go all out regardless of the consequences.

The way Chen Zhong felt about him now was like he was a failed person, drunk, causing a scene on the street.

As a ”Happy,” conceding a bit wasn’t a big deal.

It seemed that the ”concession” of Real Madrid players made the referee a bit more sober, or maybe because no one was challenging him, in the short peace he calmed himself.

In the following time, this referee gradually returned to a normal level.

Even during some of Real Madrid’s bigger moves, this referee was indifferent.

”That tackle.”

”The referee made no indication.”

”Is he trying to balance things out?”

Referee genuinely seemed to calm down. At the 77th minute, in the series of decisions, all were pretty favorable to Real Madrid.

And the commentator’s question was also the question of the broader audience.

In this period, with consecutive favorable calls for Real Madrid, is this about balancing things out?

Does this mean the referee realized he’s ”messed up” in his officiating this match?

Mourinho on the sidelines also calmed down at this moment, standing on the sideline, expressionless, watching the current referee Gomez. If looks could kill, Gomez would be riddled with wounds.

”Have him ready to go on.” Mourinho quietly told Francisco beside him: ”Damn it.”

The team was down a player, multiple players on yellow cards.

Mourinho was already estimating a draw in his mind.

And the player he wanted to substitute was Albiol.

He tried to bring on Albiol, taking off Kaka or Cristiano Ronaldo, to strengthen the team’s defense.

The damn referee ruined this match. If Real Madrid doesn’t win at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, it’s because of this referee’s terrible officiating.

Even some of the Real Madrid fans in the stands had to accept it.

Although seeing Albiol warming up on the sidelines, most fans actually agreed with the substitution.

This wasn’t a fault of strategy.

Even the Real Madrid players on the pitch seemed a bit spiritless, except Chen Zhong who was still boosting morale.

”Now?” Francisco quietly asked Mourinho if the substitution should be made, but Mourinho was staring in a trance at Chen Zhong on the field.

This game, Chen Zhong’s running was more than usual.

Because with one less player, he could only help the team through more running.

”We can see Albiol warming up on the sideline.”

”It looks like Mourinho wants to strengthen Real Madrid’s defense.”

”With one player less, it’s a test of the players’ stamina.”

”The camera focuses on Chen Zhong.”

”We can see his face is covered with sweat.”

Albiol’s warm-up seemed like a signal, telling the players that a draw in this match is acceptable, or rather, to hold onto a draw is the objective.

Chen Zhong took a deep breath and once again intercepted the ball with his long legs.

He wiped the sweat off his forehead, gritted his teeth, and pointed towards Marcelo not far away.

After a brief hesitation, Marcelo obediently ran forward.

Chen Zhong smiled.

Of course he knew that many fans, players, even the team’s head coach could accept a draw.

But...

The game is still going on!

There’s still a chance!

It can still be won!

It’s not about must-win, just not wanting to lose?

No...

It’s not about losing.

I’m only afraid of not giving my all and not winning in the end!
