I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 613: Chapter 61: Mourinho Is Dissatisfied Again

But soon, Villa pointed at Cristiano Ronaldo’s nose and cursed: ”Do you even realize you’re a complete clown now?!”

After that, the Portuguese expressed his dissatisfaction to his old friend Pique: ”Have you ever seen such a scene?”

Pedro grabbed C. Ronaldo’s arm trying to say something, but Cristiano Ronaldo disdainfully swatted his hand away: ”Take your hand off!”

The scene then freezes on Chen Zhong having a conversation with Barcelona’s captain Puyol, while calmly asking the referee for a yellow card for Guardiola.

This moment also specifically shows a clip of Guardiola whispering defensively after a conflict, and also shows Chen Zhong giving Guardiola a yellow card after talking to the referee, with Guardiola’s expression of utter shock.

This expression was later subjected to a lot of parody by netizens.

For instance: I am Guardiola, I can’t love anymore.

Clearly, I liked him so much, yet he gave me a yellow card.

I should have been off the field, not on the field...

These scenes also excited the fans to discuss passionately, with some feeling that Real Madrid benefited from this match, others feeling that Barcelona benefited, and still others thinking the referee’s level was too low.

But in any case, the heat of this match reached a new height after it ended.

And the routine post-match interview segment made the fans inexplicably eager.

Guardiola, Mourinho, Messi, and Chen Zhong all appeared, speaking eloquently in front of the camera.

The first to be interviewed was Guardiola, this legendary coach who has always been controversial since his debut.

In the season before last, when he achieved the great feat of winning six championships, people thought that with Barcelona’s players, plus Messi, even if a dog sat on the bench, they could win titles.

And after winning nothing last season, people believed that Guardiola was just lucky, Schuster self-destructed, Chen Zhong went off to the Apennine Peninsula, which let him pick up a big bargain.

Bald Guardiola visibly had blood scratches on his face in front of the camera, and when a reporter asked about it, he frankly said: ”You know, I’ve always said the best player in the world is Messi. Every time I watch him play, see him do those incredible things, I always want to scratch myself.”

”Now, as you can see, I’ve ended up like this because I saw another Messi, yes, Real Madrid’s Chen, maybe it was the first goal, or maybe the second.”

”I unknowingly hurt myself because I needed to scratch at something.”

Guardiola has always greatly admired Chen Zhong, which is already a semi-public secret.

Even many Barcelona fans think in their hearts that if Barcelona could bring Chen Zhong over, that would be an even more sensational and satisfying thing than when Figo joined Real Madrid.

Real Madrid’s youth training, emblem, captain...

Actually poached by Barcelona!

This matter could keep Barcelona fans talking for a lifetime.

The reporters obviously knew this too, so they asked how he viewed the incident where Chen Zhong got him a yellow card, and Guardiola somewhat helplessly said: ”I tried to explain, but he didn’t listen.”

”I actually wanted to pass the ball to him, but I don’t know why those things happened.”

”I have nothing to say about the yellow card, that’s the referee’s business.”

Finally, the reporters asked Guardiola for his thoughts on this match and the upcoming Ballon d’Or selection, to which after a moment of pondering, Guardiola said: ”I always like to have the game under my rhythm, but Real Madrid clearly had a variable.”

”We were on the verge of killing the game several times, but Chen stood up, he changed the outcome, reversed the score.”

”Regarding the Ballon d’Or selection, I think Xavi and Iniesta have a very high success rate, they are World Cup champion players, and as we know, in a World Cup year there’s no precedent for a non-World Cup champion player winning the Ballon d’Or, so I think the Ballon d’Or will be between the two of them.”

Reporters then asked about Chen Zhong’s chance of winning the Ballon d’Or.

Their smiles seemed to say, come on, say it! You know what we want to hear.

Guardiola may be a person with little scheming, but he is also straightforward, or rather a selfish person.

Unwilling to hide what’s in his heart, so after hesitating for a moment, he said: ”Chen is an extraordinary player, and the scary thing is, he’s still growing, can still grow. We don’t know where his limits are. I’ve heard many names, like Gullit, Schuster, people think he’s similar to them.”

”But I want to say that the achievements he could gain in the future might be higher than these people, and meanwhile, everything Chen has achieved now has already surpassed them at the same age.”

”I don’t know if he will win the Ballon d’Or this time, he’s a Real Madrid player, someone else’s problem. But I think, eventually, he will win the Ballon d’Or.”

Guardiola’s interview segment ended, and Mourinho, having heard every word Guardiola said without mentioning him, truly ”laughed” in anger.

This ”brother” who took his Barcelona coaching spot was still such a ”hypocrite.”

So Mourinho’s first words to reporters were: ”If Chen doesn’t win the Ballon d’Or this time, then the credibility of the Ballon d’Or will vanish.”

Mourinho’s emphatic words startled all the reporters.

No way, dude, are you that bold?

After a brief shock, they all gathered around, wanting to see what else Mourinho had to say.

Mourinho was actually quite annoyed inside, he always felt players need ambition, goals, and ”enemies.”

And after coaching Real Madrid, he’s been establishing a rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona players. Such a rivalry, if nothing else, should definitely not allow them to be joking or hugging during a national derby.

Mourinho was quite displeased with this.

Moreover, he was even more displeased that Guardiola’s words were all about Chen Zhong.

People should know, Chen Zhong is his player, not Guardiola’s.

Mourinho unleashed his eloquent tongue, recounted Chen Zhong’s honors and personal stats last season, which were astounding figures, breaking league goal records, breaking modern European Golden Boot goal records, along with Chen Zhong’s performances in the Champions League, making decisive goals repeatedly.

Last year, based on individual performance (excluding the World Cup), Chen Zhong could be said to be the number one in the football world.

Even not mentioning Chen Zhong, just talking about Messi in second place, he could crush the players behind him, and if Xavi and Iniesta had stats just a notch better, Mourinho wouldn’t dare to say this, but the issue is these two players’ individual performances, while good, compared to Chen Zhong, it’s a world of difference.

The most crucial thing is, facing Chen Zhong, they have no excuse.

In the football world, it’s the forwards who have the most advantage when it comes to the Ballon d’Or, but Chen Zhong is a midfielder, not a forward.

Chen Zhong, Xavi, and Iniesta are all midfielders, along with Inter Milan’s Sneijder, all midfielders.

This year’s Ballon d’Or is also referred to as the ”Midfield Ballon d’Or.”

But everyone being a midfielder, Chen Zhong’s stats surpassing all by such a margin, with just barely enough honors to compete...
