I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 620: Chapter 65: The Bat Legion, Old Friends, and Charity

ps: Good news, you’re starting as the true blue, bad news, female goalkeeper, 180, orphan chemistry.

Genius is just my threshold, and it’s also just the foundation for being selected into Real Madrid’s youth training.

Valencia this season can be described as ”the bat taking off,” they are performing the best after Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Although Valencia is mired in a financial crisis this season, the team led by Emery gives the illusion that they are about to rise.

To analyze the reason for the bat army’s take-off, it certainly cannot do without two players.

One is Juan Mata, the other is Soldado.

The former took on the responsibilities alone after Silva left Valencia, becoming the undisputed core player of Valencia, and is considered one of the finest midfielders in football at the time, also affectionately called ”the Heart of Valencia” by fans.

The latter became Valencia’s goal assurance, ranking high on the La Liga scorers list. This child from Real Madrid’s youth training finally found his niche in Valencia, filling the vacancy left by Villa joining Barcelona and shining brightly in Valencia, referred to by fans as the terrifying striker combining speed and shooting skills.

At night, Mata called Chen Zhong. The two, like before, didn’t talk about the team’s tactics and personnel, just joking with each other.

And as they chatted, Mata mentioned a project.

”You know, we always see news about shoes and hairstyles now.”

”Of course, I’m not criticizing people for doing this; it’s just that we can focus on more.”

”Actually, I don’t know how to tell you... But I think, with your abilities now far surpassing mine, maybe you could help foster this project early.”

”I’m listening, Juan...” Chen Zhong sat up slightly, Mata is older, born in 1988, now a Spanish international and a World Cup champion.

”It’s like this.”

”A while back I went to a community, doing charity.”

”But the kids weren’t asking me about how to pass or control the ball on the field, they showed great interest in my shoes.”

”They even asked why I don’t have a cool hairstyle like Cristiano...”

Cristiano Ronaldo, his hairstyle is quite normal now, but when he first joined Manchester United, he was quite ”picky” about his hairstyle. During his most flamboyant time on the field, the ”golden lightning” in his hair was the ”dream” of many children.

It’s too cool.

Chen Zhong didn’t interrupt Mata’s narration; he just listened quietly, and Mata continued, ”In the past, kids just wanted a football, and now what they want are shoes and jerseys.”

”Showing off new gear seems to have become more important than playing football itself.”

”Their focus is drifting off track, kind of like... Jesé.”

”Jesé?” Chen Zhong exclaimed in surprise; he had just met Jesé today at the training ground. The kid, dubbed the ”new C. Ronaldo,” showed incredible talent.

Of course, Chen Zhong, accustomed to seeing geniuses, didn’t think Jesé was far beyond other talents.

His surprise now was just because it involved someone he had just met.

Mata described his experiences and opinions, believing that the excessive use of social media in football was distracting young people’s attention.

With the frenzy over social media, many players record little videos of their daily training lives to upload online to gain fans, self-promote, and other purposes.

He thinks this is not a good phenomenon. According to Mata, clubs should step in to provide appropriate management; otherwise, in the future, we might all hold phones during training, filming fancy tricks, but what use would that be in a real football match?

Moreover, last year Mata visited slums and played football with some impoverished kids, the harsh conditions of the local disabled children deeply moved Mata, strengthening his resolve to engage in charity.

”I have a project.”

”Common Goal.”

”I will take the lead to donate one percent of my salary to help children in need.”

”I’ve already talked with Streetfootballworld.”

”They are also quite enthusiastic about this.”

Streetfootballworld organization is committed to building a global network of football charity and its partners.

Chen Zhong listened to Mata’s words without speaking for quite a while. If expressed in domestic terms, that would be that Mata is quite a visionary person.

While others are still ”struggling” over hairstyles, shoes, beauties, bars, Mata has already begun wanting to do charity.

”I’m willing to join; this is a good thing.”

”But I need to talk to my agent first.”

Chen Zhong quickly made the decision, and this decision also relieved Mata, although Mata is currently quite popular in Valencia, compared to Chen Zhong, he is still not popular enough.

If Chen Zhong joins, the project can truly take off.

After hanging up Mata’s call, Chen Zhong dialed Pimenta’s number. Pimenta was very surprised when he received the call, especially after hearing that Chen Zhong wanted to get involved in a charity endeavor, he was even more amazed.

Firstly, Chen Zhong is focused on football and pays little attention to other things.
