Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Next, Li Younan’s plan is undoubtedly to hurry and modify his Unimog.

However, the first problem that needs solving now is where to do the modifications.

This matter isn’t too difficult to solve. The chassis and box of the Unimog were legally imported, but to modify it into an RV that can be used on the road, it’s necessary to use an RV company’s credentials.

With his current influence on the internet, it is believed that once the news is released, many companies would want to seize this opportunity to promote themselves.

During this process, Li Younan certainly hasn’t forgotten to shoot videos.

The upcoming 318 journey and the preliminary car modification are great video material. He plans to create a video series, recording in detail the process of his modification.

Li Younan drove his Cruiser to pick up the vehicle, which was shipped by a logistics company and placed at a logistics center around Chengdu.

On the way, Li Younan spoke to the camera in detail about his plan: ”Next, I will personally handle the modifications throughout the whole process and transform this car. Please look forward to it!”

It was a clear day when Li Younan finally arrived at the logistics center, where he met the Unimog imported directly from abroad.

The Unimog’s length wasn’t actually exaggerated. The total length of the vehicle is less than 6 meters, about 5.995 meters, which can be driven with a Category C license.

Its characteristic is particularly high; the front is about 3.4 meters, and after adding the box, it can reach approximately 3.5 to 3.6 meters!

At this moment, the vehicle has yet to install the full aluminum alloy box directly imported from the European headquarters; it only has a head and chassis.

Li Younan thoroughly checked it.

Given his current electrical and maintenance skills, he could immediately see if there were any problems with the vehicle.

After his inspection, he confirmed that this vehicle was indeed brand new and flawless.

The Unimog is a super high-end off-road model under Mercedes-Benz, equipped with a 4-cylinder inline diesel engine, portal axle system, coil spring suspension, and central tire inflation system; the off-road configuration is fully loaded.

Li Younan couldn’t wait to get on the vehicle and take it for a spin.

At this moment, there are only a dozen liters of fuel in the vehicle, but Li Younan got his thrill and was very satisfied.

He already had a detailed modification plan in mind.

All of Li Younan’s modification directions aim to deal with the upcoming 318 itinerary.

In fact, due to 318’s fame in the domestic long-distance travel field over the years, the infrastructure along the route has been continuously improved, and the particularly difficult sections are now rare.

However, in some places, influenced by environmental conditions, there are still some rough roads or temporary collapses, but overall, it’s not difficult to traverse.

Li Younan’s idea isn’t to stick entirely to the national highway. Along the way, he wants to check in at many places, and some scenic spots require deviating from the national highway, so he has to consider the factor of rough roads.

In terms of the chassis, no additional modifications are needed; the Unimog’s off-road capability is strong enough. Just attaching a tool kit on the original chassis and adding two spare tires can meet Li Younan’s needs.

His focus on modification is still on the living area of the box.

Li Younan’s goal is to build the most top-notch Unimog RV, so every detail must be considered.

As for how much money he needs to spend, Li Younan isn’t too concerned.

Purchasing the chassis and box of this vehicle and shipping them here has cost nearly 2 million.

But considering the cash he currently possesses, it’s not much. Even if he budgets another 2 million for modifications, he wouldn’t feel stingy.

When Li Younan’s first video was released, unsurprisingly, Liu Yu soon called, telling him that many brands had contacted him, wanting to sponsor this modification.

Li Younan also knew clearly that undoubtedly, modifying the Unimog RV and the subsequent travel is an excellent promotional opportunity for many product brands.

The brands contacting Liu Yu are mostly electrical brands since a lot of electrical equipment needs to be installed in an RV.

But Li Younan isn’t in a hurry. He’s considering whether to let the brands sponsor this modification.

If he lets these brands sponsor, the benefits are obvious: he saves a large sum of money.

Moreover, this process essentially acts as an advertisement.

Every brand’s quote reached seven figures; after all, given his current follower level, a few dozen seconds of ad in a video has a six-figure ad rate. Once the sponsorship is accepted, these brand devices will appear continuously in all subsequent videos with significant exposure.

The price in seven figures is very reasonable.

In other words, once sponsorship is accepted, not only would he not need to spend money, but he could also earn a lot.

However, the corresponding effect is that after accepting their sponsorship, he would be somewhat restricted by the brands during usage.

For instance, if he feels some appliance isn’t suitable later on and wants to change it, it would involve breach; if he thinks some equipment isn’t easy to use and wants to criticize, it wouldn’t be possible either.

Li Younan thought carefully and decided not to accept sponsorship from brands. He would consider his needs and purchase all the appliances by himself.

Li Younan would make sure to emphasize this in his video, hoping to keep his journey pure.

He’s not short on money at the moment, and turning his trip into a billboard for other brands just seems unnecessary.

These days, Li Younan has a very relaxed attitude towards material things.

The system has given him so many powerful abilities, and with these skills, he’s not worried about money. Even if he suddenly became penniless tomorrow, he could quickly amass considerable wealth with his abilities.

For Li Younan, he will never lack money; it’s just in other people’s pockets. When he needs it, he simply takes it from theirs.

This decision of his will undoubtedly win approval from his fans.

Of course, some conspiracy theorists will have doubts, but Li Younan doesn’t care about that. His fan base is now so large that he can’t control some people’s comments.

A few days later, Li Younan found the largest Unimog RV customization brand in the southwest region. He transported his RV chassis and body together to their factory.

Afterwards, led by the staff, he went to the client meeting room.

The operations manager, together with a designer, received Li Younan.

”Teacher Li, I still don’t quite understand what you meant on the phone...”

”Um, didn’t I make it clear on the phone? I meant that I need to borrow your credentials and, if necessary, borrow your workers and equipment, but the entire design and details of the vehicle will be handled by me personally.”

”And of course, you don’t need to worry about the cost.”

The manager and designer exchanged a glance and after a moment of hesitation, the manager said, ”I’d like to introduce you to our top designer. Actually, you just need to tell us your requirements, and we guarantee to design an RV that satisfies you. We have ample experience...”

Li Younan nonchalantly replied, ”No need. If I have any requests, I’ll let you know.”

Seeing Li Younan’s resolute attitude, they exchanged another glance and didn’t say much more.

After all, Li Younan is a multi-million-level streamer, and it’s really unnecessary to upset him over such a small issue.

But after seeing Li Younan off, the designer couldn’t help but complain, ”This guy is a bit too confident, isn’t he? Renovating an RV isn’t as simple as he thinks – soundproofing, insulation, the interior layout... the electrical setup... it’s all pretty complicated.”

”Isn’t he good with woodworking?”

”Manager, you’re underestimating the design profession, huh? Yes, I admit he’s skilled in woodworking, and RVs do require carpentry. I’ve seen him work on electrical equipment too, but designing an RV isn’t just about connecting a couple of wires and sawing some wood.”

The manager shrugged and said, ”Alright, stop griping. Let me tell you, serving such big streamers isn’t necessarily a good thing. If anything doesn’t go his way, he could ruin your reputation. It’s fine if he doesn’t want our services; anyway, he’s not shorting our company any money.”

”But be sure to publicize that he modified the RV himself. We only handle the legal aspects, so it won’t affect us if there’s any problem later.”

The designer inwardly murmured, yes, he’s not shorting the company any money, but I can’t earn this commission.

He viewed Li Younan’s DIY RV renovation with some amusement.

If Li Younan had confidently handed him this job, not only could he have earned some money, but he might also have taken the opportunity to make a name for himself in the industry, making it easier to land RV orders from big clients in the future.

This unfulfilled desire gradually turned into a negative emotion.

Firstly, there’s a touch of jealousy; after all, Li Younan is much younger yet has such high achievements and can easily earn so much money.

If the RV modification goes wrong, it would be quite an amusing spectacle.

Of course, these little thoughts won’t be displayed; after all, they are in the sales industry.

Li Younan naturally sent the video to JK Long for editing.

This time, he made a compilation video of the Unimog 318, with the first episode covering the arrival of the Unimog chassis and body and him announcing his plan to renovate it independently on camera.

After the video was released, Li Younan initially thought it would receive unanimous praise, but things took a somewhat unexpected turn.

Many fans left comments in the video, suggesting that professional work should be left to professionals.

Everyone advised Li Younan not to underestimate the complexity of renovating an RV, with some even saying, ”Sure, DIY renovation is more interesting, but long-distance traveling is involved, and if any issues arise on the road, it wouldn’t be worth it.”

Seeing these comments, Li Younan found them amusing.

Not long after, another Unimog RV manufacturer jumped on the trend, releasing a video analyzing the difficulties of Unimog customization from a seemingly professional angle, arguing that Li Younan couldn’t achieve it.

What surprised Li Younan even more was that his video didn’t go viral, but instead, the video from the other RV manufacturer became a hit.

Many people tagged him to watch that video.
