Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Li Younan cheerfully greeted several staff members, while they hadn’t yet recovered from the shock of seeing his exquisite skiing skills.

However, one staff member perceptively realized this was another sensational shot, quickly asking the photographer next to him, ”Hey, buddy, did you capture that?”

”Got it, got it.”

Li Younan said nonchalantly, ”It doesn’t matter if you didn’t capture it. I’ve set up all the cameras to shoot my skiing from various angles. We’ll definitely get the perfect shot to show off to the audience.”

Upon hearing Li Younan’s words, the few had complicated expressions — how could he say something so showy without blushing or skipping a beat?

Li Younan was having a great time and began urging, ”Oh right, today is the health check day, let’s not waste time and get started.”

The other staff members nodded and started the health check for Li Younan.

Conducting a health check for Li Younan was the most boring task in this job, with no surprises—steady blood pressure, stable weight, all indicators like an average person living in the civilized world—though that’s not entirely accurate, his physique is quite impressive, far surpassing ordinary people, be it strength, agility, or endurance, just like an athlete.

After the check-up, the staff reluctantly said, ”Honestly, your health is better than the camp staff’s, keep it up.”

Though the staff never mentioned the status of other contestants after the first check-up, they often inadvertently indicated an undeniable fact: though there are contestants not yet eliminated, they pose absolutely no threat to you.

The staff themselves didn’t even realize this implication.

Li Younan laughed heartily and said to the staff, ”Hey, buddy, I want to give you a suggestion, why not try exercising a bit? Your body is really too weak, look at you, you’re already panting.”

”Perhaps you’re right, I really should exercise.”

Originally, the work should have ended here, but a staff member, tempted by seeing Li Younan enjoying skiing, hesitated and eagerly asked, ”Your skiing skills are great, were you a skier before?”

Li Younan shook his head, ”Of course not. Want to try?”

”Absolutely, I’d love to.”

”Hey, William, we can’t waste time here; we need to head back.”

”What does it matter? We’ve already completed today’s task, delaying by half an hour doesn’t change anything. Perhaps you all can try too, isn’t it a bit boring inside the camp?”

This conversation slightly shifted the atmosphere.

Just like the staff said, it’s also a bit boring inside the camp.

Li Younan was happy to have the staff play along and enthusiastically taught them some basic skiing moves.

The photographer had already turned off the camera, as playing ski so close to the contestant’s shelter was too absurd. If those in management found out, there might be trouble.

The staff had a pleasant time at Li Younan’s place, feeling increasingly reflective while heading back—how long can contestant Kanna hold out?

...

And soon, the episode where Li Younan skied near the shelter was broadcast to viewers.

In the bloopers of this episode, Li Younan elegantly skiing down the slope followed by a flip on the ramp was showcased.

After Pacini was eliminated, the show’s highlights significantly decreased.

After all, Kanna’s current strategy was to stay inactive if she could; her segments were honestly quite dull.

In fact, during one season, after Roland hunted a musk ox and gained abundant food, he too lost motivation to go out for a long while, and the crew had to urge him to venture outside to preserve audience intrigue.

At the time, both producers and investors were increasingly pleased with Li Younan.

Despite procuring enough food, Li Younan didn’t lay back and tirelessly sought fun, always causing a stir.

But everyone knew, this season’s show would soon come to an end.

As winter arrived, the difficulty of obtaining food increased; contestant Kanna wouldn’t last much longer.

But nobody knew exactly when that day would come.

About two more weeks passed, during which it snowed several times.

The good news was that the lake finally froze over, which also meant temperatures were near brutal levels.

This was a huge blow to Kanna since the frozen lake meant she couldn’t use her fishing nets, cutting off a major food source.

Fishing nets and traps don’t require constant monitoring to provide food, and relying on them had several times unexpectedly saved her when she was about to give up.

Nonetheless, optimistic Kanna didn’t despair; she smiled at the camera and said, ”This might be a good thing for me; without the fishing nets, I have fewer miles to walk each day to check the harvest—only to see if the traps have caught anything.”
