Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Watching the national flag ceremony is indeed a very ceremonial experience.

When the flag squad ceremonial unit entered, the scene suddenly became solemn.

In the powerful command voice, from the quick march to the standard march, every movement was as if copy-pasted, extremely precise.

Then, when they reached under the flag, the commander gave the order to raise the flag, the national anthem sounded, and the national flag rose along with the sunlight.

In front of Tian’anmen Square, an indescribable excitement surged from the heart, making Li Younan feel his blood boiling, with a sense of ”I’m a part of this nation, and it’s freaking awesome.”

And such emotions are highly contagious, many viewers around became tearful.

There are young children watching from their parents’ shoulders, and elderly people in their seventies or eighties saluting the flag, clearly veterans.

This unified emotion lingered throughout the area until the flag-raising ceremony ended.

Finally, as the crowd dispersed, Li Younan slowly calmed his emotions.

Just then, the check-in task was completed as well, and after such a long time, he finally heard the long-awaited system reward notification sound again.

[Task completed]

[Skill acquired: Electrical Repair!]

[With existing skills in Electrician, Automobile Repair, and Radio, skill enhancement obtained.]

[Electrician skill +1]

[Automobile Repair +1]

[Radio skill +1]

[Electrical Repair skill +1]

Continuous reward notifications sent Li Younan’s head spinning.

Li Younan also discovered something interesting.

With skill acquisition, it’s becoming easier to obtain skills that can be linked, further enhancing skill levels.

But honestly, Li Younan has not yet encountered a direct skill level upgrade reward.

Which means, perhaps within the system settings, to upgrade skill levels seems to rely solely on linkage with other skills.

In other words, as he checks in at more and more places and gains more skills, the existing skills have a greater chance of being linked and upgraded!

At this moment, Li Younan patiently examined the newly acquired Electrical Repair skill.

First, we must understand the definition of electrical; it is the study of the generation, transmission, distribution, control, application of electricity, and the manufacturing of related equipment.

To put it simply, anything that requires electricity falls within the realm of electrical.

From light bulbs and refrigerators at home to electromechanicals in factories and substations in power grids, all these fall under the study and application of electrical.

This is why the Electrician skill, Automobile Repair skill, and Radio skill possessed by Li Younan can be linked with Electrical Repair to enhance attributes.

In a sense, electrical is on a higher-level concept.

The scope covered by Electrical Repair skill is exaggerated; it can even be said that anything related to electrical devices can be repaired.

[Electrical Repair Level 2: You can discern the invisible cause behind the fault, not only repair the immediate issue but prevent recurrence, and even optimize the inherent design flaws of equipment.]

Soon after acquiring the skill, a flood of information about electricity rushed into Li Younan’s brain.

He dares to guarantee that his current understanding of electrical is even beyond that of ordinary graduate students in the field.

And this is not just theoretical enhancement; since it is repair, it naturally involves hands-on capability.

Li Younan believes that the electrical skills he currently possesses are not merely limited to repair-level; with special circumstances, they can be applied in design as well.

Of course, the other linked and enhanced skills have also reached Level 2.

With an already strong foundation, he achieved further enhancement.

On the automobile repair front, Li Younan could now easily apply for the position of chief mechanic at the world’s most renowned automobile modification factory.

No matter what type of gearbox or engine, he knows the structure inside out.

More impressively, with the linkage and enhancement of electrical skills, even if he were asked to repair new energy vehicles, he would not be as clueless as most repairers.

As for Electrician skill and Radio skill, they do not have many application scenarios.

The Electrician skill, because Level 1 is already strong enough, in most real-life scenarios, Level 1 is already considered the top-notch electrician.

Beyond Level 2, ordinary daily scenarios no longer require this level of skill, only professional plant rooms, complex computer rooms, and high voltage cables would need such electrical skills.

He also gained a qualification for handling high-voltage electricity.

As for Level 2 Radio skill, it is no longer useful in daily life.

With his current level, if thrown into the early Republic era, he would be the top radio technician and operator, capable of driving the country’s entire radio field development alone.

He is even powerful enough to contact astronauts in the International Space Station with ordinary equipment, which would be too easy for him.

These skills enhancement, along with the newly acquired Electrical skill, are like a timely help for Li Younan.

His next plan is to go to 318 to modify his RV.

The strengthening of these skills gives him more confidence, and he already has several strengthening plans in mind.

Previously, although he could manage, without the support of electrical skills, his plans were still within the understanding of ordinary people.

But now, Li Younan has ideas... he wants to break the imagination of ordinary people and create an apocalyptic mobile fortress!

would be easy, and he could challenge the uninhabited regions of Southern Xinjiang and Northern Xinjiang.

Because of this skill acquisition, Li Younan has an even stronger desire to check in at the Forbidden City.

The capital, truly worthy of being the capital, provides such powerful skills.

Li Younan loved the capital city even more.

But whether he could check into the Forbidden City next was the real test for him.

He had to enter the restricted area.

Li Younan was daydreaming like this, bowing his head and slowly walking back.

At this time, the crowd in Tian’anmen Square had mostly dispersed, leaving only a few tourists taking selfies in the direction of Tian’anmen and the Monument to the People’s Heroes.

Li Younan was lost in thought and didn’t notice ahead. When he snapped back to reality, he nearly bumped into someone.

Li Younan paused for a moment, and then chuckled: ”Why are you standing here? I almost stomped you to death.”

”Damn, am I really that short?”

The person speaking was the girl who had previously jumped the queue.

At this moment, she was holding a selfie stick, slowly retracting it. After sparring with Li Younan, she focused her attention on her phone, looking somewhat frustrated and melancholy at the image on screen.

Li Younan asked curiously: ”Why are you using a selfie stick?”

The girl made a complicated expression, and with a hint of grievance, said: ”You guys all run too fast, I was at the front but everyone overtook me. I couldn’t get a good spot, and got squeezed into the middle. I’m short, so I had to use a selfie stick to watch the flag raising.”

Li Younan burst into laughter.

”Hey handsome, where do you plan to go next?”

”Well, I plan to visit the Forbidden City.”

”Oh, the Forbidden City? I’ve already been there. Is this your first time in the capital?”

”Yeah.”

”Hey, handsome, aren’t you going to ask my name?”

”You didn’t ask mine either.”

”Huh? But how can a girl be the one to ask?”

”Well, then you just miss the chance of connecting with me.”

”Hey, are you leaving now?”

”Yeah.”

”Wait a second, hang on.”

”Hmm, what’s up?”

The girl sighed slightly, gave Li Younan a somewhat displeased glance, and said: ”You really are a cool and aloof handsome guy. Whatever, didn’t you want to go to the Forbidden City? Did you make a reservation?”

Upon hearing this, Li Younan fell silent for a moment.

Honestly, his trip to the capital was somewhat rushed, and he hadn’t done his homework in advance — attending the Forbidden City requires a reservation 7 days in advance!

But the area Younan intended to visit wasn’t accessible with a ticket anyway, so it didn’t matter if he had not reserved.

However, from what this girl was suggesting, did she have a way in?

He revealed a mysterious smile: ”Want to get in without a ticket?”

Li Younan thought for a moment and suddenly realized: ”Oh, I get it, you’re a scalper!”

The girl, angered, suddenly didn’t want to talk to Li Younan anymore.

Li Younan then composed himself and asked: ”Do you know the Forbidden City staff?”

The girl said proudly: ”Let me tell you, my grandpa is a cultural relic restoration expert in the Forbidden City. Where he works is not even the publicly open area of the Forbidden City, but the real Forbidden City — you know? The ones behind locked doors.”

Li Younan stroked his chin and asked curiously: ”So you’re the granddaughter of a restoration expert. Can you let your grandfather take me inside?”

The girl shyly replied: ”That I can’t...”

But she quickly added, ”However, we can get you into the open areas of the Forbidden City using a news interview angle.”

Li Younan paused, then smiled and shook his head: ”No need.”

The girl froze: ”No need? Don’t you want to explore the Forbidden City?”

Li Younan smiled: ”No need, not interested.”

The girl sighed regretfully: ”I see, then forget it.”

She hesitated a bit more, ”Can we add each other on WeChat?”

Li Younan chuckled: ”Why don’t you just ask for my WeChat directly? No need for all this drama.”

He then took out his professional WeChat account and added the girl.

Satisfied, the girl left, saying she’d message Li Younan.

Li Younan smiled and waved goodbye, his mind calm as water.

As a traveler, he is bound to meet many people, but only a few will leave a momentary emotional mark along his journey.

Whether there’s any future connection depends on fate.

As for what the girl said about using her grandfather’s work privileges to let Li Younan in, it actually holds little significance and instead would add trouble for her.

After all, he and the girl were merely acquaintances, and she seemed to be a lovestruck fan of handsome guys, impulsively making such a promise.

It’s reasonable considering he is quite handsome.

Nonetheless, the girl did give Li Younan an idea — cultural relic restoration could indeed be an excellent entry point.

Li Younan took out his phone, eyeing over 10 million followers with a slight smile.

Wondering if this account was as useful as imagined?
