Chaotic Sword God

As soon as the Primeval artifact spirit said that, two powerful streaks of light suddenly appeared in Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness.

They were the power of the sword spirits!

After consuming the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, the sword spirits had already recovered a lot of their strength. The two powerful beams of violet and azure light turned into a pair of illusionary swords, piercing into the region of darkness covered by the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy with unstoppable might.

Immediately, large swathes of darkness were purged from the area of the sea of consciousness occupied by the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy.

Under the combined efforts of the twin swords and the Primeval Divine Hall, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy’s power was immediately forced back. The ninety-nine percent of Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness he originally occupied quickly shrank to just a third.

Once his power was completely purged, not only would it mean that his possession attempt had ended in failure, but he would also face a severe backlash.

At this moment, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy seemed to have blanked out. For a moment, he forgot to resist the suppression from the twin swords and the Primeval Divine Hall.

The Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy was truly stunned. He was completely dazed, as he had already recognised the twin swords. He was extremely dumbstruck, so he momentarily forgot to fight back.

At his realm of cultivation, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy understood far too well what the twin swords represented. Without any exaggeration, the shock that the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy felt from discovering the twin swords was countless times greater than when he found out Jian Chen possessed the Source of Life and the Primeval Divine Hall.

“The Azulet swords, the Azulet swords. It’s actually the legendary Azulet swords. I never thought that these items of legends would actually appear here after going missing for over three million years…” The Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy’s voice trembled. His heart surged violently as he felt intense disbelief.

Everything that unfolded before him actually made a peak Seventh Heavenly Layer expert feel like he was dreaming. It was all so surreal.

A mere Immortal Emperor, something akin to an ant, was actually hiding three sovereign god artifacts. One of them was even the Azulet swords renowned through the Immortals’ World. If anyone else heard this, just who would believe it?

During the moment of blankness from the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy, the region he occupied had already been reduced to a mere fifth by the twin swords and the Primeval Divine Hall. Right when he was about to be squeezed out completely, about to face the backlash from failing to possess Jian Chen, the advance of the twin swords and the Primeval Divine Hall came to a halt. They were not able to take another step forward.

“Hahahahaha, I never thought that I would actually come across such a great opportunity today. The ancestors are watching over me…” Suddenly, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy let out an excited howl. Shortly afterwards, an illusionary figure condensed within the remaining region of darkness. His eyes burned with fervour and madness.

A total of three sovereign god artifacts, where one of them was even the legendary Azulet swords, had thrown the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy into complete madness.

Suddenly, the illusionary figure condensed from the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy’s power of the soul formed a seal in Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness. Shortly afterwards, black mist surged violently, instantly condensing into a colossal figure. It shook up the sea of consciousness with a strange power, directly pressing down on the Primeval artifact spirit.

Bang!

A rumble rang through Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness. The entire world in there seemed to shake violently. The Primeval artifact spirit’s power had been repelled by the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy’s figure.

Shortly afterwards, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy struck out again. He used the same secret technique, condensing a finger from the power of his soul that made contact with the twin swords. As the two powers collided, the twin swords were forced back as well.

The Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy immediately went after them in pursuit, quickly reclaiming a portion of lost territory. Afterwards, he struck out again and again, fighting against the two sovereign god artifacts in Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness as the illusionary figure. He actually managed to force back the Primeval Divine Hall and the Azulet swords alone.

Despite working together, the two sovereign god artifacts were not the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy’s opponent!

Very soon, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy reclaimed half of his lost territory, occupying almost half of Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness.

“This person’s mastery of the soul is extremely high. He is extremely skilled in battles like this. Hold him back at full strength. The Source of Life will recover very quickly.” The Primeval artifact spirit snorted coldly. He felt very frustrated. In the past, he had fled from the hands of a sovereign of the Saints’ World multiple times, yet today, he had been forced into such a situation by a Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt. He found it simply unacceptable.

Unfortunately, he could not use the advantage of the Primeval Divine Hall inside Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness at all. He also happened to be weakened, so the Primeval artifact spirit had no better way to handle this situation.

The twin swords said nothing. They could also sense how troublesome the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy was. They were clearly in their master’s sea of consciousness. They should have had a home court advantage, yet they felt like they were fighting in someone else’s sea of consciousness right now.

Here, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy moved with great grace. As he formed seals after seals, he unleashed various different secret techniques. He grew mightier as he fought, all with great ease.

If it had been any other Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, perhaps they would have struggled with a battle in Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness, but the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy did not have this concern at all.

The different powers clashed violently in Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness, but the darkness that represented the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy clearly possessed the advantage. It spread further, occupying sixty percent of the sea of consciousness already.

Right when the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy’s invading powers were about to occupy seventy percent of the region, the Source of Life finally broke free from the Spirit-sealing curse, immediately joining in on the battle against the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy.

As the sea of green filled with vitality spread through Jian Chen’s sea of consciousness, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy’s advance finally came to a halt. The region filled with darkness rapidly receded under the ebb of the Source of Life’s power.

When it came to battle, the Source of Life came nowhere close to the twin swords, as it was an auxiliary sovereign god artifact. As a matter of fact, it was even weaker than the Primeval Divine Hall.

But when it came to defence, the Source of Life obviously surpassed the Primeval Divine Hall and the Azulet swords.

As a result, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy struggled to take over any region that fell under the protection of the Source of Life.

If the twin swords and the Primeval artifact spirit were not around, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy was completely capable of fending off the Source of Life with his abilities, but right now, he was outnumbered one to three.

Immediately, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy lost all advantage. He was forced back by the three sovereign god artifact’s combined efforts.

On top of that, the three sovereign god artifacts had already surrounded him, trapping the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy’s soul in the centre. They constantly pressed against the space occupied by the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy. Once they squeezed him into a certain range, the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy would not be able to escape anymore.
