Chaotic Sword God

Looking at how unsettled the Heavenloss Master was, Zuo Dao could not help but think about how aloof and domineering the Heavenloss Master had behaved back then in the cave where the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing grew. He could not help but gloat inside.

Back then, the Heavenloss Master had been so domineering over the fact that his descendant had tied the knot with the fifth princess of the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance that he even looked down on the Divine Valley of the Nine Heavens. In the end, he shot himself in the foot like that.

“This is why you refuse to make the fact that Yang Yutian possesses the elder princess’s tablet public despite knowing that yourself?” Zuo Dao chuckled.

Despite knowing that Zuo Dao was mocking him to some degree, the Heavenloss Master was not irritated at all. He said vexedly, “I would have if the incident earlier didn’t occur, but now that it did, where would I find the courage to let others know that Yang Yutian has connections to the elder princess? Wouldn’t I just be digging my own grave?”

There was something else that the Heavenloss Master did not mention. He still had a sliver of hope that out of pride, Jian Chen would not tell the elder princess about what had happened in the Skyscraping World.

If that were the case, then the chances of the elder princess finding out about this would greatly diminish.

“Then what do you plan on doing next?” Zuo Dao asked.

The Heavenloss Master sighed. He stared at the smooth rock face in front of him. He was worried.

Although their Sword Sect of Yang Soul was already linked to the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance through marriage, the fifth princess’s marriage did not necessarily mean they had become particularly close with Fang Jing. The greatest purpose of this bond was to deter other organisations. It was enough for other organisations to think twice before they did anything.

However, it was difficult to say how important the fifth princess was to the elder princess inside the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance.

They may be sisters, but there were plenty of cases where kin turned against one another in some organisations.

“Heavenloss Master, if I were you, I’d try and make up for what I did, instead of hiding here and doing nothing at all like what you’re doing right now.” Zuo Dao’s lips curled upwards like a smirk.

“Make up? You sure say that easily, but how easy can it actually be? Yang Yutian possesses so many trump cards. How am I supposed to make it up to him?” the Heavenloss Master said. The best idea he could think of was to announce he possessed the elder princess’s tablet. With the elder princess’s influence, at least it would drastically reduce the number of enemies that Yang Yutian had.

However, he had to keep this secret well hidden. He was afraid of others finding out about it, so how could he divulge it himself?

“Whether it’s easy or not comes down to the timing. If the timing is off, then what you’re doing is just futile. However, if you capture the timing perfectly, then you will help in a time of need,” said Zuo Dao.

The Heavenloss Master narrowed his eyes. He seemed to notice something. He turned towards Zuo Dao and said, “Fellow Zuo Dao, are you planning on helping Yang Yutian?”

“If an opportunity presents itself, I’d be extremely willing to represent the Divine Valley of the Nine Heavens behind me and create a positive tie with him,” said Zuo Dao.

“Yang Yutian and the elder princess’s relationship is still not completely known. Aren’t you afraid of suffering any implications from the Immortal Feather sect if you approach him as a representative of the Divine Valley of the Nine Heavens so soon?”

“Actually, I already decided on this many days ago. Back then, I didn’t even know Yang Yutian possessed a tablet from the elder princess.” Zuo Dao’s gaze deepened.

The Heavenloss Master was surprised. He exclaimed, “What is the reason that even at the risk of offending the Immortal Feather sect, your Divine Valley of the Nine Heavens would still try and approach him?”

Zuo Dao smiled deeply. He made no response. He could not help but recall the startling news he had found out from the city lord of the Immortal Rising City, Immortal Exalt Tan Yu, from the lower regions of the Skyscraping World.

It was also from that moment onwards that his attitude towards Yang Yutian changed in an overwhelming fashion.

......

…

Jian Chen quickly moved through the area around the mountain peak with the seed of ways, buying time for when the second strike from the Divine Formation of the Heavens would be ready. At the same time, he waited as the seed of ways’ energy slowly wore out.

Behind him were the Immortal Exalts who pursued relentlessly.

“Yang Yutian, I’ve already ordered people to search for your female disciple in the lower region. If you still don’t stop, then your female disciple will probably be done for,” an elderly voice rang out from behind. When Jian Chen heard that, frigid light immediately flashed through his eyes.

That was because the voice came from the Profound Spirit Master of the Heavenly Palace of Scaling Heights.

The eyes of a few other Immortal Exalts present lit up. Shortly afterwards, one of them said, “Profound Spirit Master, Yang Yutian possesses a sovereign god artifact that can hold many people. His disciple has probably hid inside already…”

“Several months ago, a disciple of my Heavenly Palace of Scaling Heights used a secret technique to report to me that he had found Yang Yutian’s female disciple in the lower regions.” The Profound Spirit Master smiled gently as he pursued Jian Chen. “Actually, when the seed of ways ended up in Yang Yutian’s hands, I had already contacted that disciple to capture Yang Yutian’s disciple and personally bring her here.”

“If you look at the time, it probably won’t be long before he reaches the mountain peak…”

When they heard that, the eyes of many of the Immortal Exalts in the surroundings shimmered. Many of them came up with different ideas.

But after a short moment of hesitation, several Immortal Exalts immediately used secret techniques to pass the same orders as the Profound Spirit Master to the disciples of their sects.

......

…

Several cultivators sat with their eyes shut in front of a stone tablet halfway up the mountain. They were comprehending the secrets of the Way of the Sword.

At this moment, two of the Immortal Emperors sitting there seemed to sense something. They both opened their eyes and took out a tablet with a flip of their hands.

At this moment, the tablet was glowing faintly. Profound patterns constantly fluctuated in colour.

“It’s the ancestor! The ancestor is contacting us through the ancient technique. He actually… actually wants us to stop what we’re doing immediately and devote ourselves to finding Yang Yutian’s disciple?”

“If I recall correctly, Yang Yutian’s disciple hasn’t even reached Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortal, yet the ancestor actually wants us two Immortal Emperor great elders to find her? This… this must be a joke…”

The two Immortal Emperors exchanged glances. They were very confused.

“We can’t disobey the ancestor’s orders. Let’s split up and search for her…”

......

…

Similar situations occurred throughout the Skyscraping World. Many Immortal Monarchs and Immortal Emperors received the order and began searching for Jing Mumu’s traces in the Skyscraping World.

“Little Grass, how long before we reunite with master?” At this moment, Jing Mumu moved quickly in the direction up the mountain. Her bright eyes were filled with eagerness.

“Soon…” the Immortal Devouring Orchid replied quietly.

At this moment, a figure appeared before Jing Mumu, radiating with the presence of an Immortal Emperor.

“Hmm?” Right when the Immortal Emperor was about to brush past Jing Mumu, he suddenly let out an exclamation of surprise, blocking her path in a flash.

“Greetings from Jing Mumu, senior!” Jing Mumu bowed to the Immortal Emperor out of respect as a junior.

“Jing Mumu? So your name is Jing Mumu. Hahahaha, I didn’t think I’d find you so quickly.” The Immortal Emperor let out a laugh before reaching towards Jing Mumu without any prior signs. At the same time, he said, “Jing Mumu, our ancestor has extended an invitation to you. Come with me.”
