Chaotic Sword God

As great energy gathered around the seed of ways, the compressed space seemed to be completely frozen. It seemed to turn into steel, becoming indestructible.

The power did not possess any destructiveness. It was mostly for trapping, suppressing, and sealing everything in the world.

Immediately, multicoloured light filled the space around the seed of ways. The various abilities and secret techniques wove together, even drowning out the seed of light’s brightness.

Some of the Immortal Exalts were nearby with their hands extended, wanting to grasp the seed of ways, but they were forcefully obstructed by the various suppressing and restraining powers around the seed of ways, preventing them from getting any closer.

Shortly afterwards, the remaining Immortal Exalts also arrived before the seed of ways. Their hands surged with power, forcing their way through the various restraints with devastating might.

Even though the various restraints around the seed of ways were extremely startling, it was still overpowered by the sheer number of Immortal Exalts. The hands all reached towards the seed of ways with lightning speed and startling strength.

“Piss off!” With a furious bellow, the Profound Spirit Master who seemed slightly disheveled erupted with fury. His pressure as a Fourth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt flooded the surroundings. With a wave of his hand, he repelled two Immortal Exalts, also reaching towards the seed of ways as quickly as he could.

At this moment, even the weakest Immortal Exalt around the seed of ways was of the Second Heavenly Layer. First Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts did not even have the ability to squeeze in.

However, right when everyone’s hands were about to touch the seed of ways, it suddenly vanished from view again, making everyone miss.

“Oh no, it’s escaped…”

“According to previous experiences, the seed of ways won’t travel more than ten thousand kilometres whenever it escapes. Everyone, split up…”

The Immortal Exalts scattered immediately, choosing a direction and flying off.

Their senses were greatly limited in the Skyscraping World. Let alone ten thousand kilometres, even a thousand kilometres was beyond the range of their senses.

“Search a hundred thousand kilometres in this direction. If I don’t find any traces of the seed of ways, turn back…”

Many Immortal Exalts shared the same thought. They moved very quickly, covering over two hundred kilometres with each step. A hundred thousand kilometres was nothing to them.

Elsewhere, Jian Chen also moved at full speed towards where the seed of ways fell.

“By the time I get there, the seed of ways will have left a long time ago.” Jian Chen sighed softly inside. The place where the seed of ways landed happened to be in the exact opposite direction. The location was virtually the other side of the mountain.

That was equivalent to traveling halfway across the mountain peak of the Skyscraping World.

At this moment, Jian Chen’s eyes narrowed as he moved swiftly. Before him, powerful sword intent suddenly appeared. Before Jian Chen could even respond, a streak of light shot past him like a bolt of lightning, vanishing into the distant mist.

“I can’t let it escape this time…”

“Quick, catch up to it. Don’t lose track of it, or you’ll lose your advantage…”

Shortly afterwards, a noisy ruckus rapidly approached him from afar. As soon as Jian Chen stopped, he saw multiple Immortal Exalts fly past him at great speed.

Despite all these Immortal Exalts discovering him, none of them cared about him anymore. All of them chased after the seed of ways.

No one even cared about the Immortal Exalts who disappeared one after another when they searched for Jian Chen. Even if someone did come up with any ideas, they would have dismissed them forcefully to chase down the seed of ways.

“That was the seed of ways just now!” Jian Chen’s eyes lit up. Without any hesitation, he immediately changed directions.

Jian Chen’s cultivation was very low here, but he was very fast. First of all, he possessed the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s secret technique, allowing him to see the path several thousand kilometres away. Furthermore, he had surpassed all of the Immortal Exalts in speed here with the Laws of Space.

After all, with the senses of their souls suppressed, the Immortal Exalts could not unleash their full speed. Otherwise, it was very easy for collisions to occur on the meandering mountain paths.

Jian Chen was different. Using the spiritual Qi as his eyes, his range of detection was several dozen times larger than these Immortal Exalts. He could observe the situation ahead of him before everyone else.

“Hmm? Yang Yutian, you actually have the courage to chase after the seed of ways?”

“Even with all of these Immortal Exalts, we might not necessarily obtain the seed of ways, yet a mere Immortal Emperor like you thinks he has a chance?”

“Hmph, and he’s actually in front of us. He’s skilled in the Laws of Space, so he’s actually even faster than us…”

“His Laws of Space seem a little special? I’ve met many Immortal Emperors who have grasped the Laws of Space, but none of them have been able to utilise the Laws of Space to his degree…”

......

…

Jian Chen ignored these Immortal Exalts. He simply showed himself to everyone and travelled with the Laws of Space, shaking off these Immortal Exalts one by one.

And that was with him intentionally reducing his speed. Otherwise, he could move even faster.

“Time to a Standstill!” At this moment, a Third Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt just happened to encounter the seed of ways that flew straight at him. He reacted extremely swiftly. With a bellow, the time within several kilometres of him came to a standstill.

This Third Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt grasped the Laws of Time. He used his temporal abilities to halt all activity there in an attempt to restrain the seed of ways.

The seed of ways immediately slowed down.

In the next moment, the nearest Immortal Exalts all struck out. The Profound Spirit Master was among them. Various restraining techniques were used on the seed of ways.

Even when the seed of ways was immune to these restraints, the many layers of energy still influenced it to some degree. Faced with these aggressive Immortal Exalts, it would fall into peril if it paused for even a split second.

Immediately, the seed of ways was surrounded by another group of Immortal Exalts.

With nowhere else to go, the seed of ways teleported once again, escaping from the senses of the Immortal Exalts.

“It’s escaped again? Everyone, split up…”

“It uses up quite a lot of energy every time it moves. It can’t escape too many times…”

The Immortal Exalts split up and began searching again. Only Jian Chen remained.

Jian Chen was not in a hurry to go. Instead, he shut his eyes and used the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s secret technique with his full strength. For the first time ever, he tried to push the secret technique to its limits.

“I found it. It’s nine thousand kilometres from here…” Very soon, Jian Chen’s eyes lit up brightly. He accurately located the seed of ways through the secret technique.

This time, he used the Divine Armour of Heavenflight and vanished perfectly. Afterwards, he sped off towards the seed of ways.

At this moment, he stopped holding back. When he took his first step, he directly teleported over to a cliff eight hundred kilometres away before changing directions and taking a second step.

With the second step, he covered three hundred kilometres and arrived at a crossroad. Without any hesitation, he chose the path leading downwards. After travelling almost another one thousand kilometres, he arrived before a fork that split into three paths.

Afterwards, Jian Chen encountered many forks. The most he encountered at one time had a selection of seven paths. If he did not know the precise location, it was very easy for him to take a wrong turn.

Once he took a wrong turn, then he could only find a way to get back to the fork. Under these numerous restraints, there were no shortcuts available.

This time, Jian Chen was the first to find the seed of ways.

Looking at the seed of ways that hovered several dozen kilometres in the distance, Jian Chen did not move rashly.

“No one will reach this place within the next fifteen seconds. I should think about how to stop it from escaping,” Jian Chen thought rapidly. He even called the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt out from the Primeval Divine Hall.

“I have also heard about the seed of ways left behind by the Skyscraping Sword Venerable. It doesn’t seem very easy to capture,” the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt was rather troubled as he stared at the seed of ways that hovered several dozen kilometres away.

“We don’t have much time. Let’s just use our full strength to try and capture it.” After a moment of thought, Jian Chen and the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt moved at the same time.

The Thousand Soul Demon Exalt erupted with the tremendous might of a Fourth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt. He turned into a black demonic cloud that blanketed the space there, turning the range of a hundred kilometres into his territory.

Jian Chen used the Laws of Space to disturb the space, immediately producing layer after layer of spatial barriers around the seed of ways.

With this trap complete, he reached out without any hesitation, reaching towards the seed of ways with the Laws of Space.
