Chaotic Sword God

At this moment, Chen Feng’s soul was injured. His senses towards the outside world had been reduced to an absolute minimum. Faced with Jian Chen’s lightning-fast lethal strike, he could not respond at all.

Spurt!

In the end, the blinding Heaven-lifting sword plunged deeply into Chen Feng’s soul. The Five Superimposition Sword that had power that rivalled a First Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt effortlessly obliterated Chen Feng’s soul.

A First Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt ancestor of the Wind clan perished just like that!

Two strands of Profound Sword Qi, a high quality god artifact, the Heaven-lifting sword, and the Hundred Superimposition Sword comprehended up to the fifth superimposition. All this combined was enough for Jian Chen to kill a First Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt in an extremely short amount of time.

Of course, the Profound Sword Qi played the biggest role among the three. Its influence on the enemy’s soul gave Jian Chen the chance to kill them in a single strike.

“You are the first Immortal Exalt ancestor of the Wind clan to die by my hand, but you are definitely not the last.” Jian Chen stared at Chen Feng’s corpse indifferently. Despite already perishing, his might as an Immortal Exalt did not disperse. Each droplet of blood he shed was filled with powerful pulses of energy.

Without a certain level of cultivation, even approaching Chen Feng’s corpse was impossible.

Despite already dying, his eyes remained open. His dull eyes were wide open as if he had died with regrets.

Even upon death, he did not understand what feud existed between the Wind clan and Jian Chen.

“Sect master, there seems to be other Immortal Exalts headed this way.” The Thousand Soul Demon Exalt appeared by Jian Chen’s side. He stared into the distance. He could already vaguely sense powerful pulses of energy from a region that neither his vision nor senses of the soul could reach.

Jian Chen nodded. He stowed Chen Feng’s corpse away in the Primeval Divine Hall before getting the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt to go through a simple process of cleaning up the traces and presences. Afterwards, he used the concealment ability of the Divine Armour of Heavenflight and silently vanished.

Soon after Jian Chen had left, two First Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts arrived. They stood in the centre of the battlefield and studied the surroundings with furrowed brows.

“A battle just occurred here!” an Immortal Exalt said. He carefully sensed the surroundings, but he discovered nothing apart from the turbulent spiritual Qi that had yet to settle down and the destroyed vegetation.

Very soon, a few more Immortal Exalts arrived one after another. They either travelled alone or in groups of two or three.

“Do you think it’s Yang Yutian?”

“Many of the traces have been erased. Coupled with the formations of the Skyscraping World, it’s no longer possible to turn back time here.”

“Who were the people fighting here? Why didn’t they leave behind any presence or traces even when they left?”

“It was probably Yang Yutian. Quick, scour this area. If we waste any more time, he’ll escaped…”

......

…

For the next few days, Jian Chen remained in hiding with the Divine Armour of Heavenflight. He did not continue fighting. Instead, he ensured he remained at peak condition at all times, so he was prepared to seize the seed of ways.

On this day, Jian Chen was changing locations when he suddenly stopped. He furrowed his brows.

Using the spiritual Qi, he discovered that Immortal Exalts had blocked off his path from behind and in front. At this moment, they were using all of their strength to attack the space before them as they approached him.

Unfortunately, there were no forks within several tens of thousand kilometres on the mountain path that he currently travelled on.

The Skyscraping World was riddled with formations. It was highly restrictive. Everyone had to move around according to predetermined mountain paths. They could not even fly too high. They had to stay close to the ground.

“I have no other choice. I’ll have to kill my way out of here.” Jian Chen’s eyes turned cold. They were filled with determination. With a sway, he flew forwards.

“Yang Yutian, where exactly are you hiding?” At this moment, the Second Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, the Seven Antelope Ancestor, endured his sense of urgency as he attacked his surroundings again and again, producing storms of energy.

He constantly swept the surroundings, making use of both the senses of his soul and his eyes. He closely examined the surroundings.

Boom! Another ball of pure energy struck the almost-indestructible cliff face, making the space there shake violently.

But this time, a figure clad in armour silently appeared from the shaking space. It clearly swayed about in the vicious storm of energy.

It was Jian Chen!

“Huh?” The Seven Antelope Ancestor immediately captured Jian Chen’s figure. He was clearly mildly surprised. In the next moment, he ravished with joy. “Yang Yutian, I’ve finally found you. You won’t be escaping this time.”

The Seven Antelope Ancestor already knew about Jian Chen’s concealment ability. He erupted with all of his strength without any hesitation to stop Jian Chen from hiding again, doing his best to disturb the stability of this space. At the same time, he arrived before Jian Chen with a flash and swung his hand with great energy.

“I know I can’t kill you, but as long as I keep you busy and wait until more fellows arrive, you’ll be done for.” The Seven Antelope Ancestor laughed aloud as if he was finally allowed to vent his grievances.

Jian Chen was unfazed by the Seven Antelope Ancestor’s attack.

Right when the Seven Antelope Ancestor’s palm strike was about to land on Jian Chen, a large, demonic figure suddenly appeared before him. The figure casually extended his hands that were as large as palm fronds before closing his fingers. He directly clasped the Seven Antelope Ancestor’s hand. The two powerful forces collided violently, twisting the space there violently.

“Sir, w-who are you?” The Seven Antelope Ancestor stared at the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt who had suddenly appeared in surprise, but in the next moment, his expression changed. He cried out, “No, you weren’t one of the Immortal Exalts who entered the Skyscraping World. W-where exactly did you come from?”

“End it quickly!” Jian Chen said indifferently. In the next moment, he used two strands of Profound Sword Qi without hesitation, directly attacking the Seven Antelope Ancestor’s soul.

“Argh!” The Seven Antelope Ancestor howled out. His soul flickered violently. The intense pain made him pale.

The Thousand Soul Demon Exalt let out a cackle before turning into a ball of black mist that invaded the Seven Antelope Ancestor’s soul. He dealt devastating attacks to his soul.

For a moment, the Seven Antelope Ancestor howled out furiously. He clutched his head and leapt around on the spot, his face contorted in pain. His presence fluctuated rapidly.

But in just a few seconds, the Seven Antelope Ancestor stopped struggling. His chaotic presence settled down as well.

His eyes suddenly snapped open. They were a pair of pitch-black eyes filled with demonic Qi.

“Hehehehe, sect master, we can go,” the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt said.

In the next moment, surging demonic Qi permeated from the Seven Antelope Ancestor before condensing into the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt’s figure again.

Meanwhile, the Seven Antelope Ancestor’s body fell to the ground stiffly.
