I Married the President

Chapter 243: Chapter 243: You’re So Charming Like This

’That’s what I think,’ Claire Sinclair thought, but she didn’t say it out loud. She just said, ”I have so much writing to do, and I can’t get it done here. So I’d better not stay. If you want a woman, you can go find someone else.”

With that, she turned to leave immediately.

Adrian Quincy suddenly gripped her arm tightly, his voice deep as he said, ”Claire, never doubt my loyalty to you. I don’t want anyone but you.”

Claire Sinclair stared blankly at his stern, handsome face. The resolute look in his eyes was enough to prove his devotion to her.

’Did I say the wrong thing?’

”I’m sorry,” she apologized.

”If you don’t want to stay, I won’t force you. Let’s go.”

With that, he led the way out.

Claire Sinclair hesitated for a moment before following him to the set.

Adrian Quincy was a man who valued efficiency, and Henry Hartwell had won a major photography award in his youth. With two powerhouses working together, the photoshoot went exceptionally smoothly.

After the shoot, Claire Sinclair eagerly grabbed the camera to look at the photos.

Henry Hartwell hadn’t taken many photos, just a handful, but every single one was a masterpiece. The angle, lighting, subjects, and background were all exquisitely captured.

If she had to pick just one, she really couldn’t choose.

Her eyes landed on the photo of them kissing. Claire Sinclair’s heart tightened, and her face instantly turned as red as an apple.

In the photo, her eyes were closed, one hand curled around his neck and the other cradling the back of his head, her body pressed tightly against his.

She looked utterly seductive and wanton...

’Was that woman really me?’

As she was lost in thought, she was completely unaware that Adrian Quincy had come up behind her and seen the photo.

Men and women see things completely differently. What she found mortifying, he found absolutely stunning.

”Claire, you’re so captivating like this.”

”What’s so captivating? It’s hideous! I’m deleting it!”

As she said that, she went to press the delete button, but Adrian Quincy stopped her.

”Don’t delete it. This is our first photo together.”

’A photo together as a couple... that’s what I promised him.’

Claire Sinclair remembered her promise and had no choice but to keep the photo. Blushing, she said, ”A photo like this looks so... racy. Don’t you find it embarrassing to look at?”

”I think it looks great.”

”...” ’Such bizarre taste.’

Claire Sinclair didn’t want to dwell on the subject, so she said, ”Then hurry up and save the photo. A picture like this can’t be left on the camera. It’ll give people the wrong idea if they see it.”

Adrian Quincy nodded. He took the camera himself, went back to his office, copied the photo to his computer, and then deleted it from the camera.

The photoshoot was completed successfully, and Henry Hartwell left with his camera.

Claire Sinclair had originally intended to leave as well, but in the end, she couldn’t deny her feelings and decided to stay.

...

「That night.」

Claire Sinclair showered early and climbed into bed, not planning to wait up for a certain someone. She decided to go to sleep first.

In her drowsy state, she felt her body being turned over slightly, then was enveloped in a warm embrace. A familiar kiss landed between her eyebrows.

”Mr. Quincy...” Claire’s sleepiness vanished in an instant, and she slowly opened her eyes.

Adrian Quincy lowered his head to kiss her hair, his voice as rich and warm as a cello. ”Go back to sleep. Good night.”

”Mm...” Claire murmured, snuggling into his embrace like a little kitten.

Feeling her soft, pliant body against him, Adrian Quincy felt a surge of heat rush through him. He pulled back slightly. ”Claire?” he murmured, his voice rising in a question.
