I Married the President

Chapter 232: Chapter 232: Just What Kind of Deity is Mrs. Quincy?

The moment the post went up, the internet exploded.

[Did I read that right? The Viper Law Group?]

[Is this the legendary Viper Law Group I’m thinking of?]

[The Viper Law Group that won the case against the Cabinet of Country B last year, winning 23.1 billion for Meridian Enterprises?]

[To think she could actually hire the Viper Law Group... Just what kind of a goddess is Mrs. Quincy???]

...

Seeing the latest comment, Claire Sinclair burst out laughing. ’What goddess? I’m just a cute little fairy at best, hehehe...’

’No, no. I can’t get too smug.’

Claire Sinclair composed herself and curiously clicked on Lily Yariel’s social media profile.

’This woman actually responded...’

@LilyYarielTheFairy: The Viper Law Group? So what? We’ll see who the real creator is in court.

’She really has a death wish.’

Curious, Claire Sinclair then clicked on the CloudScript Group’s official social media page. They were more composed; their account hadn’t said a word.

’But, with Lily Yariel saying that, does this mean they don’t plan on withdrawing the lawsuit?’

Claire Sinclair looked up at the elegant Mr. Quincy, who had just gotten into his work mode. She cleared her throat and said softly, ”Mr. Quincy, it seems like they have no intention of dropping the lawsuit...”

Adrian Quincy gave a slight nod, picked up the desk phone, and dialed a number.

Once the call connected, he gave the order himself. ”Send a few people over. I need you to handle a case for my wife.”

A cheerful laugh came from the other end of the line. ”Hahaha... We just saw it on social media. We were just talking about when you’d call and give us an assignment.”

Adrian Quincy asked nonchalantly, ”How confident are you?”

”It’s child’s play. Should be fun.”

”Come on over.”

Hanging up, Adrian Quincy looked up to meet the girl’s expectant, shimmering eyes. ”It’s done.”

”Um...” Claire Sinclair was surprisingly a bit embarrassed. ”I don’t know how I can ever repay you. For now, all I can do is thank you!”

”Will you give me what I want?” Adrian Quincy asked, his tone light and suggestive.

Claire Sinclair’s face flushed, and she shyly looked away. ”As long as it’s not too outrageous, I can agree.”

”Stay with me tonight.”

”Okay...”

Claire Sinclair answered meekly. She couldn’t believe she had agreed so readily herself.

Adrian Quincy was pleasantly surprised, almost disbelieving. ”Claire?”

”Well, I won’t disturb your work then. I’m going to go for a walk!” Claire Sinclair bolted out the door as if escaping for her life. Her flustered retreat was actually quite adorable.

A slight smile touched Adrian Quincy’s lips, and his mood instantly brightened.

...

「Half an hour later.」

The Viper Law Group’s official social media account posted a new update: ”We stand with the original creator. @Mrs. Quincy.”

After the post went up, major news outlets scrambled to share it, broadcasting the battle of the plagiarist versus the plagiarized to the masses.

The Viper Law Group, the symbol of justice and invincibility in Aridia, had spoken. Overnight, public opinion online shifted almost entirely to Mrs. Quincy’s side.

「CloudScript Group.」

Marcus Miles, the CEO of the group who’d been dragged into the center of the controversy by Lily Yariel, could no longer sit still after seeing the Viper Law Group get involved. He immediately called his uncle, Thomas Miles, for help.

”Uncle, that woman managed to hire the Viper Law Group. What do I do?”

”What do you do? You moron! At a time like this, you’re still protecting that idiotic woman? Drop her immediately! No one can beat that Viper.”

Marcus Miles retorted, unwilling to concede, ”I don’t get it. Why are you so afraid of that Viper? What’s so special about them?”
