I Married the President

Chapter 228: Chapter 228: Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

Adrian Quincy raised an eyebrow, his gaze falling to the girl’s slyly smiling face. In a low voice, he said, ”Claire, your body seems to be telling me you want another round.”

”No, no! Of course not!”

The more she denied it, the tighter she hugged him.

As if he’d just been given permission, Adrian Quincy swiftly lifted her on top of him, giving himself a better view.

The girl’s smile was mischievous, and her eyes held nothing but pure joy.

”Claire?”

”Ahem,” Claire Sinclair cleared her throat. She tugged at his collar, her face flushing as she said, ”Well, if you don’t want to, then forget it. I’m starving... ugh...”

There was no way he would refuse the sweet treat delivered right to his lips.

This time, the man was incredibly gentle. He sought her consent for almost every move, only proceeding to the next step after she agreed.

However, this unhurried pace only served to tease Claire Sinclair to the point of utter exhaustion, until she finally had to beg for mercy.

”Mr. Quincy...”

”Say my name.”

”Adrian...”

”Hmm?”

”I’m starving. Please hurry?”

”As you wish.”

「Afterward.」

Adrian Quincy rose gracefully and walked to the wardrobe to find some clothes. ”Claire,” he said, ”rest for a bit. I’ll come get you once the cafeteria has your food heated up.”

He waited for a moment but received no reply.

When he turned back to look, he found she had fallen asleep.

’Looks like I really wore her out. She wouldn’t have fallen asleep on an empty stomach otherwise.’

After getting dressed, Adrian Quincy returned to the bedside. He sat down, leaned close to her ear, and whispered, ”You must be exhausted, my baby.”

’I wonder how she’d react if she heard me call her ’baby’?’

It was the weekend, so Claire Sinclair slept until she woke up naturally. It had been a long time since she’d slept so soundly.

When she woke up, Adrian Quincy was already gone. Claire Sinclair took a shower, got dressed, and then went downstairs to find him.

Unfortunately, when she got to the office door, Nancy Lockwood informed her that Adrian Quincy had stepped out and wouldn’t be back until later.

Disappointed, Claire Sinclair ate breakfast alone. Afterward, she returned to her room and flopped onto the bed, lazily scrolling through her phone.

’After coming to see him yesterday, I’ve spent nearly all my time in bed. I hadn’t even had a second to look at my phone.’

When she opened WeChat today, she saw she’d received tons of messages—

Reporter Henry Hartwell: My goodness, are you awake yet?

Reporter Henry Hartwell: This time I’m really gonna need you to put in a good word for me.

Reporter Henry Hartwell: The second you see this, call Young Master Quincy and have him call me. It’s a code red emergency!

’A message from ten minutes ago...’

’What kind of ’code red emergency’ could he possibly have?’

Claire S.: Teacher Hartwell, what’s up?

Reporter Henry Hartwell: Don’t ask questions, just get your man to call me. Now!

Claire S.: But Mr. Quincy told me last night that you weren’t in trouble and that he didn’t need to intervene.

Reporter Henry Hartwell: Hahaha, you caught me. I just thought Young Master Quincy looked so pathetic all alone, so I decided to be nice and create an opportunity for you two to make up. Did you two have a good time last night?

’A good time? Oh, it was a great time!’

’A ’great time’ where that big bad wolf devoured her seven or eight times, they went through several condoms, and she nearly died of exhaustion in that bed.’

’What’s that saying again...?’

’’Absence makes the heart grow fonder.’ Terrifyingly true.’

Claire S.: Teacher Hartwell, if you ever trick me like that again, I’m never trusting you again!

Reporter Henry Hartwell: Okay, okay, my bad. How about I make it up to you with some crawfish?

Claire S.: Only if it’s the thirteen-spice kind!
