Ghost Catching System

Chu Hao was startled. He looked up and saw Sword Star Lord on the balcony of a skyscraper. Standing three meters tall, the enormous figure scared Chu Hao out of his wits.

Damn it, the Underworld Deity actually caught up? My hair is standing on end; this is a total setup! Chu Hao immediately flagged down a taxi. ”Driver, go, go, go!”

The driver was still a bit confused. ”Huh? Where to?”

Chu Hao anxiously said, ”Don’t ask, just drive, and I’ll give you ten thousand bucks.”

”Really?” The taxi driver’s face was one of utter confusion; he truly thought he had encountered a madman.

Chu Hao said angrily, ”If you don’t drive, you’ll get nothing.”

The driver, true to being an experienced one, stepped on the gas, and the car zoomed away.

Sword Star Lord was also flabbergasted. Of course, he knew where this place was; he was shocked that he had followed Chu Hao to the Yang Realm!

There was a rule in the Underworld that Jail Masters were not allowed to enter the Yang Realm. This violated the Underworld’s regulations, and if discovered, he would undoubtedly face severe punishment.

Sword Star Lord turned his fiercely menacing gaze to Yan Furong and Yan Chen, who were standing beside him. ”What exactly is going on here?” he demanded.

Yan Furong and Yan Chen were excited to be back in the Yang Realm, but the pressure from Sword Star Lord was immense, causing them to tremble inwardly.

Yan Chen was extremely nervous. He was very powerful now, but facing an Underworld Deity, he felt a fear deep in his soul. He quickly said, ”Great Jail Master, we don’t know what happened either. We just followed Chu Hao and somehow ended up in the Underworld.”

Yan Furong said, ”Great Jail Master, Guangfeng True Man is our martial uncle. He instructed us juniors to seek your help in returning to the Yang Realm.”

Sword Star Lord frowned. Apart from seeking Chu Hao, he had also been entrusted by Guangfeng True Man in the Yang Realm to assist two youngsters in escaping danger. He hadn’t expected it to be them.

Quick-wittedly, Yan Furong said, ”Great Jail Master, if you want to return to the Yin Realm, Chu Hao must have a way.”

Sword Star Lord exuded a terrifying aura. ”You’re not lying to me?”

Yan Furong’s heart quivered. This Underworld Deity was too dreadful; merely standing before him made even the air feel heavy.

”I dare not deceive the Great Jail Master.” Yan Furong bowed her head.

Sword Star Lord said coldly, ”I’ll trust you for now.”

Then, he gazed at the taxi Chu Hao was in, his eyes nearly shooting flames.

Before the stunned Yan Furong and Yan Chen, Sword Star Lord leaped. He actually jumped down from the towering skyscraper.

He plummeted tens of meters, and his landing cracked the ground.

Their eyeballs nearly popped out. That was just too insane! He’d jumped from a hundred-meter-tall building without a second thought and landed unharmed, like a monster from a sci-fi movie.

Actually, Sword Star Lord also had his unspeakable frustrations. He had never imagined he would end up in the Yang Realm. He could fly in the Underworld, but it was different in the Yang Realm.

This was because he wasn’t in a ghostly state. In the Underworld, not all Jail Masters of Hell were Ghosts; he was one of the exceptions, a Ghost Demon.

Therefore, Sword Star Lord couldn’t fly in the Yang Realm at all.

Even so, Sword Star Lord was terrifyingly fast, shooting forward like a cannonball. He believed it wouldn’t take long to catch Chu Hao.

Meanwhile, Chu Hao had been anxiously watching the skyscraper. When he saw the Underworld Deity leap down, he shivered with terror.

A chill ran down Chu Hao’s spine. What can I do? I can’t think of any way to deal with this Underworld Deity. I’m as good as dead.

Chu Hao anxiously asked the System, ”System, can the Pretentiousness Points I currently have defeat him?”

The System gave a definitive answer: ”No.”

Just as I thought. Chu Hao grew more anxious. As he wracked his brain for a solution, his phone rang. He had a signal now that he was back in the Yang Realm.

Chu Hao picked it up and saw it was Bai Ling calling.

Chu Hao was momentarily stunned, then an idea struck him. Why not pit the Underworld Deity against the Heavenly Bone Woman? If they both get injured, I can step in and finish them off. Wouldn’t that solve all my future troubles?

Excitement surged through Chu Hao. I’m a genius!

But wait, can the Heavenly Bone Woman actually defeat Sword Star Lord?

Chu Hao answered the phone. On the other end, Bai Ling asked, ”Where are you? I’m hungry.”

Chu Hao was speechless. Seriously? If you’re hungry, why don’t you go get something to eat yourself? Why are you calling me for that?

Chu Hao yelled at the top of his lungs, ”Big Sister Bai Ling, someone is trying to kill me, save meeee!”

Bai Ling was startled. ”Where are you?!”

Chu Hao hurriedly said, ”I’m coming to find you now! He’s chasing me!”

”I’m at the villa. Come over.”

Without a second word, Chu Hao told the driver to speed up, heading towards the villa.

Suddenly, the car shook violently. Chu Hao whipped his head around and was scared out of his wits by what he saw.

Sword Star Lord had caught up! He was right behind the car. A gigantic palm grabbed the rear of the taxi, lifting it effortlessly. A terrifyingly hideous face stared fixedly at Chu Hao.

”Kid, where do you think you’re running?”

Sword Star Lord’s expression was savage. He wished he could tear Chu Hao limb from limb on the spot, but he knew only Chu Hao had a way to send him back to the Underworld instantly.

The taxi driver screamed, opened the car door, and scrambled out, abandoning the car.

The crowd on the street was in an uproar. This monster, Sword Star Lord, was too conspicuous. Many people were scared witless and fled, though some braver individuals took out their phones to snap pictures.

Sword Star Lord was prepared for this. He couldn’t afford to be exposed in the Yang Realm. He quickly cast a spell, and a fog shrouded his body. The crowd’s photographs only captured a blob of black mist.

Chu Hao was pale with fright. He’s too fast! He caught up already?

It’s over. It’s all over.

However, the more tense the situation became, the faster Chu Hao’s mind raced. What can I use? The Soul Sealing Lock! The item I got from the Ghost Mother!

Item: Soul Sealing Lock (Magic Item)

Rarity: ★★★★

Ability: The Lock of Soul Sealing. Seals soul power. Effective against Ghost King Level beings or higher. Requires essence blood.

The higher the level of a Ghost Demon, the more they cultivated soul power rather than Ghost Qi or Monster Qi.

Chu Hao threw caution to the wind. Enduring the excruciating pain, he bit the tip of his tongue to draw his most vital essence blood. A Bagua plate appeared in his hand, and he spat a mouthful of blood onto it.

”Go!”

Instantly, the Bagua plate landed on Sword Star Lord. Like a small lock, it began to emit Bagua-shaped chains that spread like a dense web, binding Sword Star Lord’s body.

”What is this thing!” Sword Star Lord exclaimed.

Sword Star Lord tried to pull off the Bagua plate but found he couldn’t exert his full strength; he was nowhere near as powerful as before.

Given Sword Star Lord’s immense power and experience, he immediately understood the Bagua plate’s function: it had sealed his soul power.

Sword Star Lord was so furious that he roared. He saw Chu Hao had already scrambled out of the car and was fleeing like smoke.

”Don’t run!”

Sword Star Lord chased after him, but the Soul Sealing Lock made him extremely uncomfortable. Furious beyond measure, he tore at it with all his might.

As for Chu Hao, having escaped the taxi, he yelled, ”System, purchase a Divine Traveling Talisman!”

DING... Host purchased Divine Traveling Talisman, consuming 10,000 Pretentiousness Points.
