Ghost Catching System

Sword Star Lord waved his hand, and a screen appeared before him, similar to a glaring mirror. Chu Hao’s location also materialized in front of Sword Star Lord.

The image kept enlarging until a gambling house came into view.

”Fengdu!” Sword Star Lord said with a slight smile.

Sword Star Lord muttered to himself, It seems I’ll have to make a personal visit.

Chu Hao had no idea that ever since his arrival in the Underworld, he had been discovered by the Divine Deity Sword Star Lord.

「The next day.」

Chu Hao walked downstairs, his stomach growling with hunger.

Little Spirit had already prepared some food. It was black and white, devoid of any appeal, and looked utterly unappetizing.

After trying some, Chu Hao found the taste very bland, as if no salt had been added. Indeed, this food is meant for ghosts, he thought, finding it quite difficult to eat.

Chu Hao barely managed a few bites before he couldn’t eat any more.

”Master, is it not to your liking? I’ll go change it immediately,” Little Spirit said hurriedly.

Little Spirit had gone from being the lowest-ranked minion to Chu Hao’s favored attendant, making the other ghosts envious. Even his former boss, Old Man Jia, now had to be reverently respectful in his presence. This is all thanks to Chu Hao, Little Spirit knew, which made him extra diligent in pleasing his new master, aiming to become Chu Hao’s loyal subordinate.

Chu Hao waved his hand. ”Summon Zang Aihua.”

Zang Aihua arrived, still dressed in the ostentatious Shamate style of the Funeral Love Clan, which made Chu Hao a bit dizzy.

Chu Hao asked indifferently, ”Where is Zuo Li?”

Zang Aihua quickly replied, ”Master, he’s at a newly opened bathhouse.”

Zang Aihua had already dispatched underlings to investigate Zuo Li’s whereabouts the previous day.

Chu Hao said succinctly, ”Lead the way.”

One man and a group of ghosts hit the road. The Funeral Love Clan’s mode of transportation was motorcycles.

Chu Hao had no desire to be associated with the Shamates, worrying it would ruin his image, so he had Little Spirit find him a vehicle. Cars in the Underworld were essentially no different from those in the Yang Realm.

However, the car Little Spirit found was a dilapidated minivan.

”This is the only one?” Chu Hao couldn’t help but exclaim.

The van was too decrepit. If Brother Hao rides in this, I’ll lose all face, Chu Hao thought.

Little Spirit said with difficulty, ”Master, vehicles in the Underworld are very expensive. Even the Funeral Love Clan can’t afford them, so they can only ride motorcycles.”

Chu Hao waved his hand. ”Get in the car.”

The procession set off grandly. Surrounding ghosts, seeing the entire Funeral Love Clan in motion, grew curious and took out their phones to capture the scene.

「At the bathhouse.」

Zuo Li lay in a bathing pool. He was nine feet tall, powerfully built, and covered in tattoos, exuding the air of a boss.

Just then, one of Zuo Li’s underlings ran in with a phone, saying anxiously, ”Brother Li, it’s a call from that important person!”

Zuo Li looked at the phone. It was Ghost Officiant Gao Jingshou calling. He hurried to answer, not daring to delay.

Ghost Officiant Gao Jingshou’s shrill voice came from the other end. ”Where are you?!”

Zuo Li quickly responded, ”Brother Gao, I’m at the bathhouse. What are your orders?”

Zuo Li’s influence had been flourishing in this area, largely thanks to Gao Jingshou’s support.

Gao Jingshou spoke indifferently, ”Enjoying yourself, I see. Did your men find any news about the fugitive I had you search for yesterday?”

Zuo Li replied, ”Brother Gao, we haven’t found him yet. We’re still trying.”

”HMPH! Useless! When you’re actually needed, none of you are any good!” Gao Jingshou said angrily.

Zuo Li was very wary of Gao Jingshou. He knew that before being transferred to Fengdu District 17, Gao Jingshou had been a Ghost Officiant responsible for reaping souls in the Yang Realm—a position far more prestigious than his current one in Fengdu.

Zuo Li had heard that Gao Jingshou apparently displeased the two lords, Ox-Head and Horse-Face, which led to his reassignment here.

Zuo Li stammered, ”Brother Gao, I... I...”

Gao Jingshou’s sharp voice interjected, ”Never mind. Just wait for me at the bathhouse. I haven’t relaxed in a long time. Get a few girls over.”

”Yes, yes! I’ll eagerly await your arrival, Brother Gao!”

Zuo Li hung up and immediately had his men prepare. When Gao Jingshou arrives, he must be treated with the utmost hospitality, he instructed himself.

Before Gao Jingshou could arrive, another subordinate rushed in, saying anxiously, ”Brother Li, the Funeral Love Clan from the 36th Street District is here! A lot of them!”

The Funeral Love Clan?

Zuo Li said coldly, ”What Funeral Love Clan? I’ve never heard of them!”

The subordinate replied, ”They’re a small group from the 36th Street District.”

Zuo Li cursed, ”Then why are you reporting this? Get out!”

The subordinate stammered, trembling, ”But... they... they’ve broken in!”

Zuo Li shot up, cursing, ”Damn it! They dare to mess with me, Zuo Li? Kill them all!”

However, remembering Gao Jingshou was coming soon, he quickly added, ”Wait! Send Three Essence and Baogou to handle them. If I have to take action against such a small group myself, then I, Zuo Li, might as well not be around anymore.”

With a pained expression, the subordinate said, ”Brother Li, Three Essence and Baogou... they’ve been captured.”

Hearing this, Zuo Li jumped up, exclaiming, ”How is that possible?!”

”Go and see for yourself, and you’ll know.”

No sooner had the subordinate finished speaking than a multitude of ghosts from the Funeral Love Clan charged in, surrounding the bathhouse.

Three Essence and Baogou were sprawled on the ground like near-dead dogs, seemingly drained of all strength, their faces filled with terror.

Zuo Li stood up. He walked out of the bathroom and looked coldly at the ghosts of the Funeral Love Clan, shouting angrily, ”You bastards dare to cause trouble for me, Zuo Li? Who sent you? Aren’t you afraid of death?!”

I don’t believe a small group from the Funeral Love Clan would dare to mess with me. There must be other enemies behind them, he thought.

Then, he turned to Three Essence and Baogou and snapped, ”What are you good for? You can’t even stop this trash!”

Three Essence, a snake with a triangular head, said in terror, ”Boss, there’s... there’s an expert!”

An expert!

The ghosts of the Funeral Love Clan stood in two rows and shouted in unison, ”We welcome you, My Lord!”

These Shamates, full of spirit and with an imposing air, stood by the entrance of the bathhouse. A young man with his hands clasped behind his back approached unhurriedly—who else could it be but Chu Hao?

Baogou stammered in horror, ”He… He is the King of the Funeral Love Clan!”

The King of Funeral Love?

The assembled ghosts gasped. What a domineering name!

Chu Hao’s face darkened. This name is so crude! Who’s the King of Funeral Love? It sounds like some kind of Shamate King, completely lacking in style.

”DING… Congratulations, Host, for obtaining the hidden title: King of Funeral Love.”

Chu Hao was taken aback. There are actually titles? He opened the System interface.
