Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1259: 1258 I will not give up

Outside the hospital, Wei Jingshan was ignored by everyone.

Bystanders who passed by either cast contemptuous glances or whispered: Such a woman, truly revolting to the extreme.

Wei Jingshan couldn’t tell whether she had been knocked over by a reporter or had fallen on her own.

In any case, as soon as Gu Kai said he would kick her out of Kangning Hospital, she fell to the ground.

In her eyes was deep regret.

She didn’t know where she went wrong, and even less did she understand why Gu Kai would choose to destroy her life, her dreams, in this way.

Being a doctor was her dream since childhood; she had always been an outstanding student, and not a single teacher doubted that she would become an excellent surgeon one day.

She herself was full of confidence, young, beautiful, and academically brilliant—a school superstar pursued by countless people.

She believed that she was worthy of Gu Kai and that she shared common interests with him. Without Bai Yiyi’s grudges with Gu Kai, and younger with an advantage over Fang Zhiwei.

She angrily pursed her lips and took out her cell phone to make a call, but the phone vibrated before she could dial.

“Wang Fuyi, I helped you, why did you betray me?”

Seeing the incoming call, anger flashed in Wei Jingshan’s eyes, and she pressed the answer button with a sharp tone of inquiry.

“Jingshan, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to, it was Gu Kai who threatened me. He said he would sue me if I didn’t reveal the whistleblower…”

“Don’t tell me you’re sorry, what did you promise me in the first place?” Wei Jingshan yelled furiously, “You said, even if a knife was at your throat, you wouldn’t betray a friend.”

“Jingshan, when you helped me, didn’t you have your own ulterior motives too?”

On the other end of the phone, the tone of Wang Fuyi’s voice lost a bit of apology and took on a hint of another emotion.

Wei Jingshan sneered, “What you’re saying is, I did it for myself. Wang Fuyi, I misjudged you.”

“I know you did it to help me, but don’t you also like Gu Kai, Jingshan? I know about what just happened.”

“Now you’re happy, aren’t you? I can’t become a doctor anymore, all because of you.”

Wei Jingshan suddenly started crying again, crying mournfully.

“Jingshan, I can’t be a reporter anymore either, we were too naive, too eager for quick success. I’m going back to my hometown. What are your plans?”

“I want to establish myself in G City, I want to become an excellent doctor, I won’t give up on my dreams,” Wei Jingshan declared with determination in her eyes, emphasizing each word.

Atop the hospital, on the sofa in the director’s office.

Gu Yan looked at his son, “Ah Kai, what just happened with Wei Jingshan?”

Just now, Gu Yan had watched the scene below from the floor-to-ceiling window. However, because the floor was too high, he could only see but could not hear what they were saying.

From Gu Kai’s expression and Wei Jingshan’s changing face, he had a few guesses in his mind.

Gu Kai leaned back into the sofa, speaking lazily: “The report this morning was leaked to the reporters by Wei Jingshan.”

“Wei Jingshan leaked the information? Why would she do that, is it because you asked her to deal with Qiu Wei?”

Gu Yan asked, puzzled.

Gu Kai shook his head, “Wei Jingshan just said she likes me, and previously, in front of Bai Yiyi and Fang Zhiwei, she said some things to sow discord. She did this, probably wanting to make Fang Zhiwei resent Bai Yiyi, while Bai Yiyi becomes seen by everyone as the third party…”

He didn’t finish his words, believing that with what he’d said, his father would understand.

Upon hearing this, Gu Yan’s expression darkened, “This Wei Jingshan, I originally thought she was quite a promising talent, and even planned to have her stay at the hospital.”

“Dad, such a person is utterly unworthy of being a doctor. I’ve already told her to get lost.”

A coldness formed at the bottom of Gu Kai’s eyes, thinking about that morning’s report made him angry.

“In front of the reporters, you exposed her?” Gu Yan thought of the scene just now, and his speculation turned out to be correct.

Gu Kai nodded, “Yes, I not only exposed her but also made her leave Kangning Hospital. At three o’clock this afternoon, I will publicly reveal Tongtong’s background.”

“With your statement like this, Wei Jingshan probably can’t become a doctor anymore.”

A trace of regret flashed across Gu Yan’s face. Wei Jingshan’s professional knowledge was good, but as doctors, moral character is of the utmost importance.

Kangning Hospital would definitely not keep someone who uses underhanded tricks and scheming behind the scenes.

Gu Kai snorted with indifference, “Such a person is not at all worthy of being a doctor. Her wanting to ruin others’ lives will end with her own life being ruined.”

“Ah Kai, have you discussed revealing Tongtong’s background with Bai Yiyi?”

Gu Yan did not blame Gu Kai for doing anything wrong; if the rumor that Bai Yiyi was the third party was not stopped, it would next affect Tongtong.

Although Bai Yiyi is Fu Jingyi’s daughter, she hasn’t done anything to wrong them.

The mistakes of Fu Jingyi should not be paid for by her.

Most importantly, once a woman is labeled as the third party, it’s like being thrust onto the cusp of a storm, and Bai Yiyi’s reputation would be destroyed by public opinion.

Ah Kai was right; Wei Jingshan, wanting to destroy someone else’s life, should know and bear the consequences of her own life being destroyed.

“I’ve mentioned it to her, and later, I will call to inform her again.”

“Don’t just make a phone call, it’s better to tell Bai Yiyi in person. Tongtong is the child of both of you. To reveal Tongtong’s identity, it’s impossible to bring only Tongtong; you will also need Bai Yiyi to appear together with you.”

Gu Yan spoke calmly, “Ah Kai, by disclosing Tongtong’s background at this time, your relationship with Bai Yiyi might become a new topic.”

“I understand, and I’ve already thought about how to address it. If we don’t reveal Tongtong’s background now, those reporters will dig it up anyway. It’s better to take the initiative rather than being passive over and over.”

“Although Bai Yiyi is Fu Jingyi’s daughter, she has done nothing wrong, and I know you’ve been biased against her in the past. Now, as you disclose Tongtong’s background, you must not do it at the expense of hurting the girl.”

Gu Yan said this with a serious look in his eyes.

He was somewhat aware of the unpleasant interactions between Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi.

Gu Kai said with a laugh, “Dad, don’t worry, I have my limits. I admit that I was somewhat prejudiced against Bai Yiyi before, but now, I don’t think she’s that bothersome anymore.”

“That’s good, your relationship with Xiaofang is in the past, and once this matter is over, you must seriously consider your marital affairs. Once Tongtong’s background is exposed, many girls who like you will probably give up.”

Gu Yan’s tone contained a hint of teasing as he spoke the following words.

Gu Kai lifted his hand to brush his forehead hair, saying proudly, “Dad, rest assured, I’m your son, there’s no way I couldn’t find a wife.”

Gu Yan also laughed, his expression softening with fatherly affection, “Since you’re so confident, I won’t press you to go on blind dates anymore. I’ll give you one more year; if you still have no marriage prospect by then, I will make the decision for you.”
