Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1068: 1067 I watch my daughter

“Tongtong, we shouldn’t play anymore; it’s time to sleep.”

Yiyi picked up the syringe and placed it aside on the small table by the bed, then took away Tongtong’s Barbie doll.

Tongtong’s little mouth puckered, and as Yiyi lifted her clothes to feed her, Tongtong’s sense of grievance was instantly replaced by joy. One tiny hand clutched tightly onto her clothes while the other reached for her food.

When the door to the hospital room pushed open from the outside, Yiyi’s expression changed, and she looked up in shock toward the doorway.

Somewhat annoyed, she had forgotten to lock the door again.

“Why do you always forget to lock the door?”

Gu Kai’s gaze flicked towards Yiyi, who was breastfeeding Tongtong. A flicker of surprise passed through Mo Yu’s eyes, but it quickly returned to a stern expression, and he asked in an unhappy tone,

As he spoke, he didn’t care that Yiyi was still glaring at him angrily, and he strode towards her.

The last time, Tongtong was drowsy, and Yiyi quickly detached her. This time, Tongtong was enjoying her meal. If Yiyi didn’t let her eat, Tongtong would definitely cry.

After her face turned red and then pale, Yiyi just pulled down her clothes and said coldly, “You go out first. Whatever it is, it can wait until Tongtong is full.”

Gu Kai scoffed coldly, completely ignoring the anger on Yiyi’s face, pulled a chair over and sat down, leaning his tall body back in the chair with his legs crossed in an elegant manner.

His handsome brows wore an indifferent expression.

“Gu Kai, didn’t you hear what I said?”

Yiyi, seeing that he was unabashedly watching Tongtong nurse, instantly felt ashamed.

Gu Kai raised an eyebrow; a trace of darkness flashed through his narrow eyes, and his gaze rested on Tongtong’s delicate, fair face. He said somberly, “I’m looking at my own daughter. What does it have to do with you?”

Yiyi’s eyes widened suddenly.

For a moment, her mind went blank.

Facing Gu Kai’s dark, ink-like eyes, it took her quite some time before her expression changed from green to white, “What nonsense are you talking about?”

“Nonsense? Yiyi, do you really plan to monopolize my daughter forever? If I don’t bring out evidence, you would never admit it.”

Gu Kai said, pulling a folded paper from his pocket. He unfolded it and handed it to her.

His slender fingers held the document, “Look for yourself. The DNA test results prove that Tongtong is my daughter. Yiyi, until when did you plan to deceive me, hmm?”

At that last word, Gu Kai’s tone suddenly deepened.

At the same time, Yiyi felt a strong oppressive aura bear down on her, making her body stiffen, and her complexion turned even paler.

“When did you do this?”

Gu Kai’s cold smirk stretched, “The second day Tongtong was hospitalized. Yes, the same day you were showing off your love with Li En in front of everyone, also insisting that I marry Zhi Wei sooner. Yiyi, you think you’ve concealed everything perfectly, but in reality, every word you speak shows your guilt.”

His emotionless words struck Yiyi’s heart forcefully, causing her hands, which were holding Tongtong, to tremble. Her expression changed again, and she forced herself to calm down.

Gu Kai stopped speaking, just looking sharply at her.

As if waiting for her explanation.

Yiyi’s lips were tightly pressed together, pondering hard on what to do.

“Now that you know, I admit it, but Tongtong was carried by me for ten months. Gu Kai, I can compensate you, just don’t take my Tongtong away.”

She hadn’t let him know, not because she feared he would take their daughter.

Yiyi suddenly regretted deciding to stay when she had planned to leave. If she had left G City, maybe Gu Kai would never have known about Tongtong’s origins.

“Take her away?”

Gu Kai’s eyes flashed with a cold smile, “Yiyi, I originally didn’t have such thoughts, but now that you mention it, I indeed feel…”

“No, you and Miss Fang are so close, it wouldn’t be a problem to have one child after you get married, or even three or five.”

A flicker of panic crossed Yiyi’s eyes, and her tone was no longer as annoyed as before but carried a hint of negotiation and pleading.

Seeing Gu Kai’s face remain cold without a word…

She continued, “I didn’t intentionally keep it from you.”

“It wasn’t intentional, so it was deliberate?” Gu Kai narrowed his eyes, “If I hadn’t found out on my own, would you have let me go my whole life not knowing that Tongtong is my daughter?”

“No.”

Yiyi instinctively shook her head.

“Then explain why you secretly gave birth to my daughter.”

Yiyi frowned, “I didn’t secretly give birth.”

Discussing childbirth with a man made Yiyi feel embarrassed, but faced with Gu Kai’s relentless pressure, she had no choice but to explain.

“Since it wasn’t done in secret, why did you not dare to admit it when I asked you last time?”

Gu Kai’s sharp gaze fixed steadily on Yiyi, while the little Tongtong in her arms raised her small face to look at Gu Kai, her sparkling eyes turning with a touch of curiosity.

“Can you not discuss these matters in front of Tongtong?”

Yiyi saw her daughter lift her face and quickly lowered her clothing.

Gu Kai gave her a stern look, and the next second, his hands reached for Tongtong, the sullen anger from a moment ago dissipated entirely, replaced by the tender love of a father.

This was his daughter.

From the day he first held Tongtong in his arms several days ago, he had a strange feeling that couldn’t be described in words.

Especially upon hearing her sad crying, he felt as if his heart was being squeezed by something, perhaps this was the thick bond of blood relations.

Tongtong was his daughter.

“~”

Tongtong grinned, quite spirited in the middle of the night, and when she saw Gu Kai stretching his hands in front of her, she too stretched out her plump little hands.

Yiyi watched with complex emotions as Gu Kai took Tongtong from her arms, her hand tightened instinctively, and then she quickly let go when Gu Kai frowned.

“Tongtong, it’s really late now, shall we go to sleep?”

Gu Kai took a tissue to clean Tongtong’s mouth and kissed her cheek tenderly and said.

“ba”

Tongtong seemed to like Gu Kai very much, not only reaching out to touch his face but also making sounds that only she could understand. Gu Kai’s lips curved into a pleased smile, looking at Tongtong, he felt a sense of paternal pride.

Although Tongtong’s arrival was unexpected, she was still his, Gu Kai’s, daughter—this was an undeniable fact.

Especially since Ranran had disappeared when he was very young, thwarting his dream of having siblings for many years. Now that he has Tongtong, his joy was doubled.

After playing with Tongtong for a while and seeing her yawn, Gu Kai stood up, held her, and walked gently around the hospital room, soothing her to sleep.

“Don’t carry her around; just put her on the bed, Tongtong can sleep on her own.”

Yiyi watched frustratingly as Tongtong had always been well-behaved since a young age, unlike other children who needed to be carried and rocked to sleep.

Gu Kai gave her a cool glance and said indifferently, “I prefer to soothe Tongtong to sleep this way.”
