Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2410: Chapter 2411: Fusang Girl

Young Abao was thrown into the sea, still loudly pleading for mercy, but Mo Beishan, whose subordinate had died, showed no mercy at all.

As for Bai Ruozhu, she had no intention of softening her heart. She couldn’t let him escape punishment just because of his young age. It might have been out of helplessness the first time when he caused the death of his mother, but he had just killed a guard with a song, which could not be forgiven.

The pirates on the boat were either dead or injured, and the captured pirates, upon hearing that the Black Boss was already dead, began to wail loudly.

Jiang Yichun and Mo Beishan discussed for a while; they caught all the Black Pirates in one fell swoop, which counted as a meritorious deed, and the Black Pirate Ship was a good possession; leaving it in the sea would be a waste.

So, the official ship sent over some people, and the two ships sailed together.

On Jianqi’s side, a signal was sent, and soon Yuan Licheng and Fo Lanying came over on a small boat.

”There’s a Defensive Array on this ship, Xiaoyuan, check it carefully,” said Jiang Yichun.

”Alright.” Yuan Licheng cracked his knuckles eagerly; he had long wanted to examine the array on this boat.

Old Ding also came to this ship. Bai Ruozhu took the opportunity to discuss the route with him, looking to see if it was convenient to send the captured fishermen home.

Old Ding thought about it; roughly a small half were along the way, the rest would have to find a way back on the return trip.

Bai Ruozhu explained the situation to the captured fishermen, and those who couldn’t return home immediately expressed their understanding, after all, the whole ship couldn’t go back for just a few people, right?

After Bai Ruozhu finished her tasks, she suddenly found that the Fusang girl who had been following her was missing!

She hurriedly went to the deck to search and suddenly heard a soft splash of water, the sound was so quiet that if not for her extraordinary hearing, she wouldn’t have noticed it.

It’s like a diving expert can minimize splashes, making the sound of entering the water quieter.

She quickly followed the sound to the side of the ship and looked down, indeed seeing ripples spreading in the sea, someone had jumped into the water!

”Duannian, someone jumped into the water to escape, can you chase them?” Bai Ruozhu hastily turned and asked, noticing that the person had excellent swimming skills, fearing that others might not be able to catch up.

Duannian said nothing, rushed to the side of the ship, and with a splash, jumped into the water.

Soon he reappeared about fifty or sixty meters from the ship, pulling someone out of the water.

The woman’s hair fell down, covering most of her face, but Bai Ruozhu still recognized her at a glance; it was the Fusang girl pretending to be mute.

The mud on her face was washed away by the water, revealing fair skin. Her pair of distinct black and white eyes showed fear, probably scared by Duannian’s fish tail.

Duannian sent her back up the ship, and he himself, soaking wet, climbed onto the deck. Even though the bound pirates had seen him before, they were still frightened pale.

Wa Wei went to support him as if no one else was present. Bai Ruozhu thanked her, asking Jianqi to help him back to the room.

The Fusang girl, thrown on the deck, was trembling because her clothes were soaked, showing the contours of her body. Though not tall, she had a delicate figure.

Bai Ruozhu walked over to help her up, ”Come on, let’s get you changed first,” she said.

She looked up at Bai Ruozhu, gratitude in her eyes.

Bai Ruozhu could have interrogated her right on the deck and could have ignored the fact that her body was being stared at by men, but Bai Ruozhu still cared about her dignity.

She kept silent, following Bai Ruozhu into a room, where Bai called a woman onboard to find her clean clothes.

After changing, Bai Ruozhu stared into her eyes and said, ”I know you’re from Fusang, and you’re not really mute, just afraid that speaking might expose your identity.”

Upon saying this, Bai Ruozhu confirmed it a bit more as she saw the shock in the woman’s eyes.

”You’re not one of the Black Pirates, otherwise, you wouldn’t have hidden so cautiously. I can rescue you from danger; perhaps I can send you home too. Why jump and escape?” Bai Ruozhu continued.

The woman opened her mouth but made no sound, clearly hesitant at that moment.

Bai Ruozhu didn’t rush to speak again, just quietly watched her, the room suddenly felt eerily silent.

Finally, the woman spoke, ”How did you know?”

She could actually speak Chinese, though her accent was particularly odd.

Bai Ruozhu originally thought she didn’t speak because speaking the Fusang language would reveal her identity, only to discover she could speak Chinese, albeit with a strange accent.

Bai Ruozhu laughed mysteriously, ”I naturally have my ways; you just need to know I don’t want to harm you.”

The woman fell silent again, then said moments later, ”My name is Lingzi, indeed a daughter of Fusang aristocrats. My father loved Zhongyuan culture, once learned Chinese from monks who came from Zhongyuan, later I learned some from my father.”

Lingzi spoke slowly, not fluently and somewhat difficultly.

Bai Ruozhu didn’t interrupt, patiently listening.

”Later my father inadvertently got involved in the Emperor’s succession struggle; they wanted to capture me to threaten him into compliance. I managed to escape onto a sea ship, but then was captured by the Black Pirates.”

Bai Ruozhu didn’t beat around the bush, simply said, ”You must be very worried about your father; our destination is Fusang, you can stay by my side and tell us the route you know.”

Lingzi revealed a grieving look, ”I don’t know what use it is if I return. I don’t even know if my father is still alive; more afraid to become his burden again.”

”Perhaps he has escaped danger, or maybe he’s facing trouble. Aren’t you worried about him?” Bai Ruozhu asked.

”How could I not be worried? As soon as I saw you coming straight for me, I thought you were one of them...”

The ”them” she referred to were her father’s adversaries. She didn’t elaborate, presumably out of caution, and Bai Ruozhu didn’t ask in detail since she knew nothing about Fusang, even if explained, she wouldn’t recognize who they were.

Having communicated with Lingzi, she no longer attempted to escape and gradually became familiar with Bai Ruozhu’s companions.

The two ships were prepared for three days and resumed sailing.

Yuan Licheng had already mastered the array on the Black Pirate Ship, and Bai Ruozhu and the others moved onto this ship.

Luckily, Old Ding brought five disciples, choosing the three most skilled to continue controlling the original ship, while Old Ding took command of the Black Pirate Ship.

Oh, now the ship can’t be called that name; the pirate emblem had been removed, to avoid being mistaken, several colored strips were tied to the mast and other places.

”Ruozhu, come up with a name,” said Jiang Yichun.

Bai Ruozhu thought for a moment and directly said, ”It’s no longer a pirate ship, let’s call it the Black Pearl.”

Gao Zhou was drinking tea, spraying it out in one gulp, and Tang Feng looked helpless, ”What’s the difference?”
