Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

After that, Xu Wen didn’t ask about Ye Jian’s whereabouts anymore. He Jing was the same.

However, after the two of them returned to the dormitory, they would look at the empty bed first. Every night, before they went to bed, they would spread out the green blanket. The next morning, they would fold it into a cube. Everything was done according to the rules.

Ye Jian, who was remembered by Xu Wen and He Jing, was still worried about her three meals a day. No one paid attention to them. Every two days, a bowl of clear water and a pancake would be sent over on time.

No matter how much the five of them begged, the person’s lips seemed to be glued together. No matter what the girls said, he wouldn’t answer.

He didn’t say a word, which made the girls feel more and more despair. Their negative emotions got stronger too.

The skinny girl who tried to snatch Ye Jian’s bag started to show signs of self-harm. In the middle of the night, she kept hitting her head against the wall. The other girls were still so hungry that they forced themselves to sleep and not pay attention to it. Ye Jian, who was always vigilant, opened her eyes and listened carefully to where the thumping sound came from before she noticed something amiss.

She knew who was hitting their head, but she didn’t act rashly. Instead, she chose to listen quietly.

She couldn’t act rashly. Before she found the missing girls and came into contact with the new drug transport chain, she couldn’t interfere with anything.

Even if a life was destroyed in front of her, she only had one choice—to watch calmly!

Today was the eighth day of Ye Jian’s imprisonment with the four girls. Tomorrow was when food would be delivered.

A bowl of clear water and a pancake were Ye Jian’s hope of not starving to death.

The sound of self-harm didn’t last long. Ye Jian slowly closed her eyes when she didn’t hear anything. A bad feeling flashed past her heart.

The next day, Ye Jian saw the bruise on the forehead of the skinny girl who tried to snatch her bag to see if there was any food. It was a shocking sight.

When the other three girls saw it, they crawled to the skinny girl and asked with concern.

The skinny girl didn’t say anything and just lowered her head. No one knew what she was thinking. The two sisters didn’t surround her anymore. They retreated to the corner of the wall, leaving only the other girl to accompany the skinny girl. After a few minutes, the skinny girl took the initiative to talk to the girl accompanying her.

Her voice was very soft. It was so weak that she had to pause a few times.

Ye Jian didn’t notice it, but the other party’s gaze kept looking at her. Ye Jian was puzzled and vigilant.

The two of them… seemed to be discussing something.

It was time for the water and pancakes to be delivered today. The iron door opened on time again. Every time the Burmese man sent them water and pancakes, he would appear on time and take out the water and pancakes from the bamboo basket.

There were five servings in total. After putting the food and water down, he would leave immediately.

Only after he left, would the five girls dare to crawl over and pick up their share. Ye Jian also took her share. Just as she was about to turn around, her back tensed up. She felt someone staring at her from behind, waiting for her to turn around.

Ye Jian, who was so skinny now that she didn’t have much flesh on her body, narrowed her eyes slightly. She didn’t turn around immediately. Instead, she chose to… eat the pancake with her back facing them.

The two girls, who were staring at Ye Jian, exchanged glances and stuffed their pancakes into their pockets. At the same time, they rushed over from both sides.

The two girls started snatching the food. Their first target was Ye Jian.

They already had a plan and were waiting to execute it.

The two sisters were not part of their plan. Firstly, the sisters would definitely team up. Secondly, they were both from Myanmar as well.

However, it was still possible for them to target the sisters next.
