Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Xia Jinyuan rarely wore casual clothes. Usually, as long as he wore casual clothes, many would turn their gaze to him regardless if they were men or women.

When the elevator descended to the sixth floor, two young girls entered. The expressionless Xia Jinyuan pursed his lips.

He felt that the four girls in the elevator kept glancing at him like X-rays. When did so many young girls live in this most expensive studio apartment building in the capital city?

Was it because… it was close to the college town?

After taking one ride in the elevator, Comrade Xia Jinyuan planned to sell his bachelor pad.

The two girls standing at the farthest end pushed each other. Just as the two girls who came in from the sixth floor were about to take action, one of the girls bit her lower lip and walked to Xia Jinyuan’s side from the back. She revealed her most beautiful smile and started hitting on him. ”Hey, handsome. Do you recognize me?”

Xia Jinyuan took a step back. With a cold facial expression, he looked arrogant. He glanced coldly at the young lady whose face was covered with many layers of foundation. His thin lips moved slightly. ”I’m not interested.”

”Pfft…”

The two girls at the back laughed out loud without reservation. It was so funny? The girl was worried that others would hit on him first, so she quickly beat them to it.

In the end…

How embarrassing!

The girl who hit on him was so embarrassed that her face turned pale. When she heard people laughing at her, she glared at the guy who was merciless. Then, she glared at the two girls who were laughing at her.

Although her companion was also embarrassed, she was worried that an even more awkward scene would take place. She quickly pulled her companion away. The girl who was about to flare up snorted coldly. ”You’re not gentlemanly at all. So what if you’re handsome?”

When the elevator reached the first floor, Xia Jinyuan walked out as if he didn’t hear anything. Did he need to be gentlemanly to someone with such obvious intentions?

Pfft.

Xia Jinyuan didn’t expect to get hit on in the elevator. He also didn’t expect to face Madam Xiao after leaving the elevator. By then, it was too late for him to turn around and avoid her.

Madam Xiao, who was holding a thermos in her hand, saw Xia Jinyuan too. She was pleasantly surprised, as if she couldn’t believe that she would meet her only son here.

”Yuan!”

Madam Xiao, who was walking over in her high heels, had a look of disbelief on her face. At first, she was walking elegantly and slowly. Now, she was walking quickly. She was surprised and happy. Her emotions showed on her face.

Compared to the surprise on her face, Xia Jinyuan seemed exceptionally calm. ”Hello.”

He was polite and distant. Madam Xiao’s expression darkened. Even the smile on her face became forced.

”Do you live here?” she asked carefully. She wanted Xia Jinyuan to talk to her, but she was afraid that her only son would not give her the chance and leave.

She hadn’t seen her son for a long time. There wasn’t even any news of him. When she contacted Old Xia, she only ever got one answer—he was busy. Her son was very busy and didn’t have time to come out.

Just like a long time ago, her former husband was also always very busy and couldn’t come back. He was so busy that she received very few letters and phone calls.

”Do you have anything to do now? Can you accompany me?” Madam Xiao, who didn’t receive an answer, asked timidly. ”I haven’t seen you in a long time. I want to spend some time with you. Is that okay?”

This time, they met unintentionally. But what about the next time? Wouldn’t it take another year or two for them to meet again?
