Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Major General Yang rubbed his stomach, which was starting to warm up. After a while, he sighed and said, ”Commander Xia’s only son dropped by. He’s a demon incarnate. He never visits unless he needs something. How would I dare to let him in?”

…

Mrs. Yang wanted to smash the cup in her husband’s face. However, she remembered Major General Yang’s temper. She could only snatch the cup in his hand and glare at him before getting up to leave.

She couldn’t say that it was unfair for him to reject the only son of Commander Xia.

Although she wanted to say it in her heart, she could only suppress it.

At one 1:00 am, G3, who was staying at the base, received a call from his captain, Xia Jinyuan. When he received the call in the middle of the night, G3 thought that it was an urgent mission. After listening to it, G3 was silent for a long time before sighing softly. ”You don’t mean the things you say. Didn’t you ask her to be independent? Why are you the first to object when she really has to go out and be independent?

”The major general is right. You seem to be very ruthless to Ye Jian. You’re so ruthless that you’d personally teach her a lesson and bring her to the battlefield. But don’t you think that your ruthlessness is only limited to…”

G3 paused. Xia Jinyuan asked, ”Limited to what? Don’t leave someone hanging. A man should be straightforward.”

”F*ck, why are you saying that I’m not a man anymore?” G3 gritted his teeth and sat down. He planned to talk to him in the dark. ”I’m just wondering if you’ll be able to accept my personal opinion.”

”Stop dilly-dallying. Speak.”

”Think about it. When are you always so ruthless to Ye Jian? Think about it carefully. I feel that you should be able to guess what I want to say. You can also understand why Major General Yang said that you’re the one who can’t bear to let go.

”You’re right. Ye Jian has gone out and is acting independently. In the end, you can’t bear to let go… It’s indeed you. I didn’t expect it either. However, thinking about what you’ve done in the past, it’s only normal that you’d act this way.”

After hearing what G3 said, Xia Jinyuan started to think about the times he was ruthless to Ye Jian.

After thinking for a while, Xia Jinyuan’s expression froze. He seemed to have guessed what G3 wanted to say. He understood why Major General Yang said that he was the one who couldn’t bear to let go.

Every time he was ruthless to Ye Jian, he would always be by her side. Every time Ye Jian went out for combat, he would always be by her side. That meant that he knew that he had to train Ye Jian ruthlessly. Only then could she develop better. Unknowingly, his actions went against his expectations.

”Do you know what I want to say?”

G3 broke the short silence. With the captain’s ability, he could think of it easily.

Xia Jinyuan pursed his thin lips slightly and hummed softly. After pondering for a moment, he said, ”That’s true. I told her that besides relying on her own hard work to come back alive, she should become the strongest support of her comrades. I know that very well, but my actions have deviated.

”Every time I was ruthless to her, I was always around her. I have to reflect on myself.” Xia Jinyuan didn’t relax because of this. Instead, he frowned even more.

He had always thought that he could control his personal emotions and distinguish matters strictly. He had always thought so and always thought that this was what he had been doing.

One could only say that the bystander had the clearest view of the situation.
