Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Before parting, Ye Jian tiptoed and kissed Xia Jinyuan’s thin lips again. ’I’m sorry, my lover. I couldn’t accompany you properly.’

Ye Jian apologized silently in her heart.

There were some things that didn’t need to be said. Both of them knew it.

Xia Jinyuan hugged Ye Jian’s waist with one hand and kissed her back fiercely. Under the cover of the dark and rainy night, their kiss was lingering.

’Silly girl, you don’t have to apologize for not being able to accompany me. As your boyfriend, I should apologize. I’m the one who can’t keep accompanying you.’

”Be good and go back quickly. We’ll meet again in half a month.” After a kiss mixed with the smell of rain and mud, Xia Jinyuan said passionately, ”I’ll watch you go back. Don’t stand here and send me off. It’s my last rule.”

”Okay.” Ye Jian raised her head from his arms and returned to the main group.

She looked back three times with every step she took. She kept looking back until she couldn’t see the fluorescent strip on the life jacket anymore.

Ye Jian was destined to be very busy for the entire month.

After the rescue mission ended, Ye Jian’s hands and feet were scraped. Especially her feet. They had been soaked in water for the past three days. When she took off her shoes and socks, her delicate feet were soaked until the creases on her skin turned white. There were several blisters on the soles of her feet. She used a needle to pick out the water inside. No matter how delicate her feet were, they were still soaked until they looked tragic.

It was the same for Xu Wen and He Jing. There were blisters on their hands and feet. Xu Wen was even worse. Yesterday, she couldn’t help but secretly break the blisters on her feet. In the end, she was in pain for half the night. When she took off her socks, the fabric stuck to the blisters on her feet. Xu Wen, who was unprepared, screamed in pain on the spot.

”I told you not to break the blisters. You have to finish the rescue mission first. But you didn’t listen to me. You deserve the pain!”

He Jing looked at the three oval abrasions on the red flesh under her feet. She frowned as she thought of cleaning and disinfecting the wounds. The water they had been in was all sewage from the city. All kinds of bacteria could be found. They had been soaking in it for the entire day. It would be strange if Xu Wen’s wounds weren’t inflamed.

Ye Jian prepared some medicine for Xu Wen. Seeing that Xu Wen was in so much pain that there were teeth marks on her lower lip, Ye Jian was afraid that she would bite her tongue after applying the medicine. She took out a piece of sterile gauze from her sanitary bag and stuffed it into Xu Wen’s mouth. ”Bite it. It’ll hurt later.”

Xu Wen, who was already in so much pain that her eyes were filled with tears, wasn’t thinking about how much more pain there would be. She bit the gauze and said in a muffled voice, ”Fortunately, the university entrance examination ended. I… Ah…”

He Jing took some iodine to disinfect her wound. Before Xu Wen could finish her sentence, she screamed in pain again. ”It hurts, it hurts. Be gentle, be gentle. Jing, show mercy…”

Due to the gauze in her mouth, she could only mumble.

”How can I show mercy? There’s black debris embedded in your wound. I have to wash it out! Don’t move. Bear with it.”

Although she said that, her actions were still a little gentle. However, it wasn’t enough. The debris in the wound was too deep. It was impossible to wash it lightly. He Jing frowned and said in a low voice, ”Bear with it. I’ll try my best to move faster!”

She exerted strength in her hand. It was so painful that Xu Wen fell back onto the bed and screamed while biting the gauze. Ye Jian pressed her legs to prevent Xu Wen from kicking He Jing away.

This time, He Jing didn’t say that Xu Wen was pretentious and couldn’t suffer anymore because the wounds on her feet were severe. She felt pain for her.

After the officer knew about this, he personally went to the dormitory to visit Xu Wen. Ye Jian received a shock when he arrived. Her intuition told her that with this visit, what welcomed Xu Wen was definitely many times more violent than a storm.
