Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Training outside the school had always been a thankless task. There would always be a few troublemakers who would jump out and cause trouble. Based on his little fox’s personality, she would probably turn a blind eye to the trouble once or twice. But if it happened for the third time, she would teach them a lesson.

She had always been someone who was either casual or ruthless. There were many rules and restrictions outside the school. It was not easy to control the punishment.

It was much more convenient to train in school. What needed to be cleaned up had to be cleaned up. The purpose of the military training before enrollment was to temper one’s personality and remove one’s edges. One had to obey orders and strictly abide by discipline. One had to understand the biggest difference between oneself and ordinary university students.

Xia Jinyuan didn’t want Ye Jian to suffer outside.

When the students suffered grievances outside, sometimes, because of the military uniform on them, they couldn’t take revenge. They could only suppress their anger.

The dean of the department didn’t think too much about it. He thought that Xia Jinyuan had the idea of transferring the off-campus training to on-campus. When the time came, he would find a student to replace Ye Jian and free up Ye Jian’s vacation.

Hearing this, the dean sneered and said, ”The training outside the school lasts for 45 days. I won’t give you even a day.”

He didn’t ask Xia Jinyuan where he would bring Ye Jian for training mainly because he trusted Xia Jinyuan.

He didn’t suspect that Xia Jinyuan had other motives. Although the fellow in front of her was a little shameless, he was reliable and wouldn’t talk nonsense.

When he said that he would bring Ye Jian out for training, he meant it.

Xia Jinyuan raised his eyebrows and gave the same roguish smile that gave the dean the most headache in the past. ”Then we might as well skip the training. I’ll find someone else to take over. 45 days later, Ye Jian will report back to school on time.”

The dean got angry again. He slammed the table and shouted, ”Bullshit. If you don’t want to train her, then don’t. Can you make a decision for her?”

He could really make decisions for her. He also knew that based on his understanding of Ye Jian, she definitely didn’t want to be trained outside the school where there would be trouble. However, he couldn’t say this directly to the dean.

Before he could speak, the dean’s voice was cold. ”Xia Jinyuan, don’t ruin Ye Jian’s future. Outstanding students have training evaluations. Out-of-school training can show her ability. She must have experience outside of school.”

Xia Jinyuan was stunned for a moment before asking, ”When did such a rule exist? This wasn’t around back in my time.”

”Just how many years older are you than Ye Jian? Let’s talk about you, then. Why didn’t you mention how you messed around in the past?” The dean glared at him angrily. He picked up the teacup and took a few more sips of the gradually warming tea.

This kid had graduated for many years. Even if he was a lieutenant colonel, he could still anger him.

Xia Jinyuan knew that Ye Jian’s syllabus couldn’t be changed, so he could only accept it.

However, he still had to fight for time.

In the end, Ye Jian could train for two weeks. She also needed to go to the school one day in advance to understand the situation. Hence, she could take 15 days.

After deducting 15 days from the 45-day holiday, there was still one month. It was good enough!

Ye Jian, who was still in the laboratory, didn’t know that her 45 days of vacation had been divided up just like that. However, she had no objections to this.

Previously, she wanted to go to the Xueyu unit for training. Now that she could really go over, it was just what she wanted.

Just as Xia Jinyuan was waiting for Ye Jian to come out of the laboratory, a middle-aged man in a police uniform with a briefcase in his hand got out of a taxi and jogged to the sentry post outside the school to explain his purpose.

He came to the National Science University to look for Ye Jian and show the sentinel his valid identification document.
