Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Lieutenant Colonel Xia looked at the love letters again. He thought of the comrades in the team who didn’t even blink when they went to the battlefield. The crueler the environment, the calmer they were. However, they all stuttered and seemed to have ’mouth diseases’ in front of women. He wondered if he should bring this template back so that they could use it as a template.

Returning to the team with a letter from his girlfriend’s admirer to be used as a reference template?

Xia Jinyuan patted his forehead. It seemed like a storm had hit his brain. He was thinking of stupid ideas.

After he came to the National Science University, he went back with a love letter. With the sharpness of the people in the team, how could they not figure out the situation?

Everyone would know that the love letter came from his girlfriend’s admirer.

Fine, he didn’t want to be mocked by those inhumane fellows who didn’t have any sense of ’friendship’ at all. He couldn’t bring the love letter back to the team, not even if he copied it!

The love letter was torn apart by Xia Jinyuan. In the end, he felt that it wasn’t suitable to throw the pieces in the trash can. That couldn’t completely destroy the evidence. Hence, he specially ran to the bathroom and pressed the flush button. Seeing that the pieces of paper were getting washed away, the narrow-minded Lieutenant Colonel Xia nodded in satisfaction.

The lights went out with a click. The jealous man fell asleep.

He would sleep and go on a date with his girlfriend tomorrow.

Tomorrow was the holiday, so they could go out and play for half a day. The day after tomorrow, they would leave to visit their good comrade’s parents. Then, they would return to the base and gather before flying to the bordering town.

Although Xia Jinyuan was lying on the bed with his eyes closed, his mind didn’t rest immediately. He was still thinking about what he needed to do next before falling asleep slowly.

Outside, there was a storm. The water level of the Xiang River that went around Xiang City continued to rise. In some parts of the city, the water accumulated was more than a meter deep because of the drainage port. Several cars got stuck in the water and had to turn off their engines to ask the traffic police for help. There were even places where the trees were pulled down by the strong wind… The storm in Xiang City was destined to cause chaos.

There was heavy rain in Xiang City. Fujun Town, which was located in Anyang City in the Southern Province, was bright and sparse. A crescent moon hung high on the treetops.

A black sedan turned off its headlights and drove into Fujun Town under the moonlight and starlight. The sound of the car alerted the wandering dogs in the town.

The sedan stopped in a dark corner. Then, four figures quickly came down from the car.

”Back then, I only went to Fujun Town once. I stayed for half a day before leaving. Red Plum’s house seemed to be in the town. I remember that there was a peach forest in front of Red Plum’s house. It wasn’t in the center of the town…”

A man spoke in a low voice. He walked slightly in front and pointed at an old house that was built in the 1980s. It only had red bricks on the outside and didn’t even have any paint on it. ”This used to be the town’s supply and marketing cooperative. It was the place where I got off the car in the past. There used to be a company down here that received new recruits.

”That’s all I know. I really don’t know where Red Plum’s home is. Regimental Commander Li didn’t tell me back then.”

”Think about it carefully. Besides the peach forest, are there any other buildings near Red Plum’s house? Maybe a village or a group?”

The other man asked in a low voice. He waved at the other two people who were following closely behind him. They blocked the front and back of the man who was leading the way. This was to prevent the middle-aged man who was forcefully pulled into the car from escaping.

Although this person had never thought of escaping, he was the person who knew most about Red Plum’s residence back when she was alive. Old Master Li suspected that he was lying.

Hence, he had to be on guard.
