Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

In the office building of the National Science University, the dean of the department widened his eyes and expressed his surprise at the fellow who knocked on the door. ”What brings you here? Are you back at your alma mater to give a speech to your graduating juniors?”

If not, why did he run back to school?

Xia Jinyuan, who was familiar with the office, refilled the teacup that the director had finished drinking. The director, who was still in shock, said, ”Hot water, hot water. My stomach hasn’t been doing well recently. I can’t drink anything cold.”

Xia Jinyuan replied, ”Okay.” He picked up the hot kettle and pulled out the soft stopper. He refilled the empty teacup and placed it on the desk. He didn’t forget to show concern for the instructor who used to train him. Now, he was Ye Jian’s dean. ”You have to recuperate well. Don’t take it lightly.”

”Major Xia…?” The director looked at Xia Jinyuan’s epaulet, and his surprise turned into shock. ”Lieutenant Colonel, you’ve actually been promoted to lieutenant colonel. It looks like the chief above you is kind.”

At that time, Xia Jinyuan was still a student, and the dean was still an instructor. Xia Jinyuan was the student that gave the instructor the most headache… There was no other student like him. He challenged the instructor’s fragile nerves all the time. The instructor was afraid that one day, he would strangle Xia Jinyuan to death.

The director took a sip of the hot tea. He nodded secretly at his restraint back then. Fortunately, he controlled himself back then. If not, they would have lost another lieutenant colonel.

”Drink slowly. Don’t scald yourself. There’s still hot water in the pot. If it’s not enough, I’ll go to the pantry and fill it up for you.”

Xia Jinyuan sat down and reminded him. He looked like a merit student who was concerned about his teacher’s health.

It would have been better if he hadn’t said anything. Now that he did, the director scalded his mouth.

Putting the teacup on the desk, the director sized up the fellow who had been promoted a few times in the military and said vigilantly, ”You’re unaccountably solicitous. You must be up to no good. I won’t feel at ease drinking your tea.”

Every time this happened, there sure was trouble!

The director adjusted his sitting position as if he was facing a great enemy. ”Tell me, what’s the matter?”

”You know me well. You know Ye Jian too. Can you give her to me for a month during the summer vacation this year?”

As expected, nothing good would happen!

”No, she’s having training outside the school this year. She doesn’t have time! What do you think you’re scheming? You want to whip her for a month during the 45-day holiday? What do you want to do?

”Huh, that’s not right. Something’s wrong. Why do you always come back to look for Little Ye?”

The dean seemed to have thought of a possibility. As he spoke, he slammed the table and shouted, ”Tell me honestly. Are you up to no good?”

It was really possible!

This kid was good-looking from head to toe. He might have used a honey trap to lead the outstanding student, Ye Jian, astray!

”Your stomach isn’t good. Don’t get so agitated!”

”Bullshit. My stomach is already affected! Tell me, what’s your real motive? Xia Jinyuan, if you don’t make things clear to me today, I’ll contact the commander-in-chief immediately!”

He wasn’t bluffing. He was serious.

Xia Jinyuan was very relaxed. ”Don’t be angry. Do you think I’d kidnap a young lady? What kind of person do you think I am? Am I that bad?”

Was there a need to kidnap her? He and the little fox were clearly in love with each other.

Receiving the director’s suspicious look, Lieutenant Colonel Xia heaved a long sigh. ”I’m just in charge of bringing her for training. If one month won’t do, then 20 days. I can’t go any lower.

”It’s a thankless task to train students outside of school. If it can be avoided, it should be avoided. When it comes to training, isn’t it easier to train students in school?”
