Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

For the past few days, deafening roars could be heard on the training grounds of the National Science University’s campus. It was unknown if it was because of the romance movie that night, but it was raining heavily. All the students seemed to be on steroids. They were ready to risk their lives to participate in the university entrance examination.

The third-year joint exam was to test the results of the three years of military school training. Through this joint exam, they would know if there were any shortcomings and which areas they needed to improve. It could be said that the third-year exam was all in preparation for the ultimate fourth-year exam.

The fourth-year students had already started the final rehearsal of the graduation performance. After the juniors finished their university entrance examination, it would be their graduation performance. After the graduation performance ended, they would go their separate ways. From then on, the students who interacted with each other would have to go their separate ways. It would be difficult for them to meet again.

On the first day, Ye Jian completed her university entrance examination. She used her results to stimulate the students who hadn’t completed the university entrance examination. The students in her class were fine. They were stimulated by Ye Jian every day and worked hard every day. When the results of the university entrance examination came out, the instructor smiled and nodded. The cadres smiled and nodded too. Then, the results were sent to the department, where the leaders smiled and nodded.

Not bad. Their class had Ye Jian as their pillar of support. No matter how bad their results were, they were still better than the worst students in the other classes.

As Ye Jian was about to be in her fourth year, the cadres of the team applied to the department many times to see if they could let Ye Jian stay in school. If not, they wanted to see if they could let her graduate with a PhD. This way, it would motivate countless students to work hard.

The cadre had good intentions. The department also wanted Ye Jian to stay in school. However, even the principal couldn’t decide if Ye Jian would stay in school. Hence, when the cadre brought it up again, it was always once more.

”Old Yao, take a break. Ye Jian won’t stay in school even if you mention it a hundred times. Take a break.”

The leader of the department saw that the cadre was talking about the same thing again, and his facial expression was rather agitated. He sighed and said helplessly, ”I want her to stay in school too, but this matter… Let me tell you directly. The higher-ups have already made arrangements. Ye Jian really can’t stay in school.”

”Why can’t she stay? With her talent, she’ll definitely shine no matter where she goes. If she stays in school, she can continue to nurture talents for the country. She can also achieve a big career. Why can’t she stay in school?

”Her comprehensive qualities are quite good. Even a few professors in the school said that as long as she really develops into a professional, with her memory and comprehension, she can choose several technological specializations. The two command information system projects she participated in have achieved good results. Our school should really try to keep such a talent.

”She’ll be in her fourth year soon. We need to fight for her! We need to fight for the school’s future!”

The cadre wanted Ye Jian to stay in school too much. He, who had failed a few times, was a little agitated now. The results of Ye Jian’s university entrance examination in his hand were thrown down.

When the leader saw this, he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. ”Don’t be agitated. Calm down, Old Yao. Don’t get agitated every time Ye Jian produces good results and ask her to stay in school.

”The school has already done many things to keep Ye Jian in school. However, it’s useless. Old Yao, look at Ye Jian’s results. Take a good look and think about it. You should understand Ye Jian’s future path as a soldier.”

…

Ye Jian knew the path she should take and the direction she should go in the future. Hence, when the officers came to chat with her in the afternoon and asked her about her future plans, Ye Jian didn’t keep her guard up at all. She thought that it was just an ordinary chat.

After all, the officers of the team would often have heart-to-heart conversations with the students. As for her, she had three of such conversations this time.
