Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The instructor had taught them for so long, so everyone picked up on some small habits. For instance, when the instructor was angry, he would go on stage and laugh coldly. The students in the line would know that a storm was coming and would prepare themselves.

If the instructor was happy, he would cough three times and say, ”You look like soldiers today.” The students would then know that they could leave the training in advance and return to their dormitories to rest.

If the instructor glanced back at at the students’ faces from time to time while walking up ahead, he was deliberately delaying the announcement because he knew that there was good news. At first, he was able to scare the students, thinking that they would be punished again. After interacting with him for a long time, however, they figured it out.

After taking a few steps, the instructor stood still with his hands behind his back and coughed a few more times. Some students, like Xu Wen, couldn’t help but smile.

This was good!

It was very likely that they wouldn’t be training tonight!

Tomorrow was the joint exam. Next, the fourth-year students would be having a graduation party. The school would definitely want the third-year students to relax with the fourth-year students!

Xu Wen thought about how she could lie on the bed and sleep early tonight. She wouldn’t have to be woken up by the whistle in the middle of the night. She did not have to gather within three minutes. She almost laughed out loud.

”The third-year students will take the joint exam tomorrow. On account of your hard work for the past few months, the school has decided to organize…” The instructor was about to publicize the good news, but he deliberately paused. No matter how calm the students were, they were still led along by the instructor.

What did the school organize?

Xu Wen widened her eyes in anxiety.

”Xu Wen, what are you thinking about? Your eyes are as big as an ox’s. Stop staring. No matter how much you stare, it won’t change anything.” Xu Wen choked on her breath when the instructor suddenly called out her name. She quickly ’reported’ what she was thinking. Sweat flowed down her eyes, and it stung.

The instructor smiled at her. He didn’t believe her.

Not far away, a row of people who were training suddenly erupted in surprise. Right on the heels of that, another row of people exclaimed in surprise. It was obvious that their instructors had announced the good news.

Ye Jian saw a trace of awkwardness on the instructor’s face. He wanted to speak first, but the other platoons’ instructors snatched the chance from him.

”On the account that you’ve been working hard for the past few months, the school decided to organize an outdoor movie tonight. After the movie ends, we’ll gather back in the dormitory.”

Finally, the instructor stopped deliberately delaying and announced the good news tonight.

The class erupted in an instant!

This was such good news!

There was a movie to watch. After watching the movie, they could go back to their dormitory to rest and prepare for the joint exam tomorrow.

The third and fourth-year students were happily preparing to watch a movie tonight. As for what movie would be played tonight, they had never thought of asking.

Documentary films and anti-war films were mainly played during outdoor movie nights. There was no need to think about other films or ask what film would be played.

Watching a movie was secondary. The main thing was to have a good rest tonight!

The entire training ground was in an uproar. The fourth and third-year students could watch a movie tonight. As for the first and second-year students, they could watch it too, but they still had to run 3,000 meters after watching the movie. Even so, they were still excited.

”Instructor, what movie are we watching? An action movie? A resistance film? A documentary?” The freshmen didn’t understand the rules and lost their basic judgment as they asked loudly.

”As long as it’s a movie, I’ll watch it. I’m not picky!”

Some students hurriedly opened their mouths. They were afraid that the instructors would be unhappy and ask them to train with a wave of their hand.
