Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

During the after-dinner break, Ye Jian and the rest chose a shady spot and discussed some questions about the morning class. Then, they talked about the Manchester students who came to the National Science University for an exchange.

Ye Jian didn’t know yet. Hearing that, two familiar faces flashed past her mind.

”One of them is named something like Booth, and the other is Calais…”

”Brieth, Cartright.” Ye Jian, who was lowering her head and drawing an ’attack baseline map’ with He Jing, said their names without raising her head. They were quite long and difficult to remember.

Xu Wen nodded. ”That’s right, that’s right. It’s those two. I heard that the two of them are in the upper echelons of the Manchester hierarchy. They’re even arrogant toward the Manchester students who came with them. Why did the country select such students? Aren’t they afraid of their students making enemies upon their return to the country?”

After she finished speaking, she rolled her eyes.

Ye Jian picked up her book and gave her a pat. ”Mind your image.”

”My mistake. Pretend that it didn’t happen.” Xu Wen smiled. She continued, ”In the afternoon, we’ll see how powerful they are. They participated in the International Military School Student Competition. They probably have some ability, so they’re proud of their talent.”

”Ye Jian participated too.” Wei Jiaming looked at Ye Jian. ”Have you all forgotten that Ye Jian represented our country’s military school students to participate in the competition in Manchester?”

…

The air was silent for a few seconds. Xu Wen picked up her textbook and slapped her forehead forcefully. ”That’s right. Jian has participated in it too! I actually forgot about it!”

She turned her head and stared at Ye Jian. She said in a somewhat blaming tone, ”You’re too low-key. It’s easy to forget. Occasionally, you need to be more high-profile. Do you understand?!”

”Do you think everyone’s like you? Everyone knows about all the small achievements you’ve done.” He Jing put down her pen and finally drew an attack base map. She joined the chat and handed the draft to Ye Jian. ”Have a look. I’ll join in the chat too.”

Ye Jian took the sketch and laughed. ”What’s there to talk about? They’re here to provoke us, but they’ll only end up miserable in the end. If the situation is serious, we’ll warn and reproach them. If it’s bad, we’ll contact Manchester directly. We won’t let them continue causing trouble.”

After she finished speaking, the students in the class nodded in unison and continued to talk about the two students. In comparison, the students from Sedoya were many times more humble.

Ye Jian didn’t join in. Holding a pencil, she started to draw the attack point on the attack base and set up a defense and attack plan.

They were commanders. These were all knowledge points.

Now, it was theory. In the future, it would be practice.

The conversation outside the topic didn’t last long. Ye Jian perfected the attack base map and drew a combat map. The few of them immediately threw aside topics that had nothing to do with the matter at hand and devoted themselves to learning.

Ye Jian had been on the battlefield before and had some practical experience. Hence, every time they discussed such topics, it was easy for her to stimulate the other students’ emotions. They could solve related problems in many aspects.

They were commanders. On the battlefield, commanders were the main attackers. If they didn’t have any theoretical knowledge, their four years in the military school would be a waste.

Physical fitness was ranked first, but knowledge was also very important.

The few people who used their afternoon free time to complete the questions from the class dispersed half an hour before the afternoon physical training. They returned to their dormitories to change into their training clothes.

Ye Jian, Xu Wen, and He Jing walked to the gathering point. It wasn’t time for them to gather yet. The students who arrived early were discussing something. When Ye Jian came over, they pulled her over to discuss the topic they were talking about just now.
