Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Li Jinnian’s unnaturalness didn’t disappear even after he boarded the transport plane that was flying to the navy base in the south. His jawline was tense as he used a cold expression to hide his unnaturalness.

Ye Jian stood on the spot and watched the transport plane leave. She patted her slightly hot face. After a while, the heat on her face dissipated.

Captain Xia had left, her cousin had left, and her comrades had left too. She would have to leave in another hour.

When she arrived at Xiang City, it was already past 9:00 am the next morning. Xiang City in May was starting to get hot. When Ye Jian walked into the school, she heard the students’ training sounds coming from the sports ground. Their voices were loud and imposing. The familiar voices and the familiar scenery swept away her fatigue from the past few days.

Ye Jian returned to her dormitory and washed up. She changed into her summer military uniform and wore her military cap. She stood in front of the dressing mirror and tidied her military uniform again. Without taking a rest, Ye Jian walked toward the teaching building.

”Report…”

Outside the classroom, the clear voice of a female soldier was heard. The instructor who was carrying out a PowerPoint presentation knew who the student at the door was.

The students in the class also knew who it was. 44 pairs of eyes looked over with happy smiles on their faces.

It was Ye Jian. They had been comrades for four years.

That night, He Jing found Ye Jian. That same night, Ye Jian disappeared from the dormitory. For the next few days, Ye Jian was nowhere to be seen in the classroom, dormitory, sports ground, laboratory…

The students were already used to Ye Jian disappearing two or three times every semester. She wouldn’t disappear for long. She would be back in a week at most.

From the end of the actual combat simulation to today, it had only been five days.

The instructor smiled and said, ”Please come in.” Other than the instructor’s voice, there was no other noise in the classroom. Before Ye Jian returned to her seat, the students had already reverted their gazes back to the PowerPoint presentation. They didn’t pay much attention to Ye Jian.

This was an outstanding class. Their self-discipline was so strong that every instructor admired them.

After returning to school, Ye Jian was busy from the end of May to the middle of June. On the 18th of June, a group of foreign military school students came to the National Science University for an exchange. Ye Jian was one of the student representatives. After taking a call, she rushed all the way to her dormitory.

Today was the weekend. The temperature was as high as 36 degrees. It was rare for the military school to show mercy and let the third and fourth-year students rest during the day on Sunday. They would usually continue their training at night.

Ye Jian came in. He Jing and Xu Wen were doing exercises. When they saw her coming in, they did the same thing and looked at the time.

It wasn’t time yet. Why did she return early?

”The plane was delayed? You didn’t receive anyone?” He Jing put down her pen and asked.

Ye Jian glanced at the two of them and said helplessly, ”The officer gave me an order to wear a dress. He said that the two foreign female students who came back wore soldier’s skirts. As a female student, I have to wear a soldier’s skirt too.”

He Jing was stunned for a moment. A soldier’s skirt? They seemed to have worn it together once in their first year of university. After that… they never wore it again.

Xu Wen narrowed her eyes slightly and sized up Ye Jian. ”You’re going to have to wear a soldier’s skirt, so you need to put on some light makeup. The officer even called you specially. It looks like two beautiful foreign soldiers came.”

Xu Wen was in high spirits. She stopped doing her exercises and stood up with a smile. ”Come, come, let me put on some light makeup for you. I’ve never seen you with makeup on before! I guarantee that you’ll stun everyone!”
