Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

”Even if you hadn’t mentioned it, I would’ve still asked for your help.” Ye Jian’s temples hurt when she thought of the officer’s order.

She could barely accept wearing a soldier’s skirt. As for light makeup… she didn’t have any products. Other than the sunblock that Xu Wen told her about, she only had a bottle of facial cleanser, a bottle of cream that she occasionally applied, and a bottle of toner that had probably expired.

As the student representative, she was bare-faced and wore her summer uniform (sleeved shirt and pants). She stood with the male students. The instructor at the airport called the accompanying instructor. After looking for her, the instructor gave an order on the phone, asking Ye Jian to wear a female soldier’s skirt and put on some light makeup to welcome the students from other military schools.

Ye Jian tried to retaliate but to no avail.

Ye Jian wasn’t interested at all as she was just obeying orders, but Xu Wen was excited.

”Come, come, wipe the water off your face. Sit down and don’t move. Let me see if we should trim your eyebrows…” Xu Wen, who had turned into a makeup master, held Ye Jian’s face and smiled as she spoke. She looked at Ye Jian’s left and right. The next moment, Xu Wen felt angry.

She poked Ye Jian’s tender and fair face with her finger. Then, she pinched her face forcefully and said angrily, ”We’re both God’s children. Why is there such a huge difference?!”

”I even take care of my skin every day. Jing, look, look. I even got a sunburn. Look at Ye Jian. It’s unreasonable. She doesn’t need anything and her skin is still as fair as Snow White. I’m so angry that I’m about to faint!”

Ye Jian’s skin was like the Fu family’s. It was very soft and fair. For instance, her cousin, Li Jinnian, was exposed to the sun and wind by the sea all year round. The water ghosts had tanned many degrees. As for him, he was like a white pearl mixed into a bunch of black pearls.

Ye Jian was the same. She couldn’t get tanned.

Perhaps it was because Xu Wen was so angry that she was about to faint, He Jing finally came over and took a look. Her expression was a little serious. Ye Jian, who was sitting, knew that something bad would happen again.

At this moment, Xu Wen only said that she was so angry that she was about to faint. When He Jing came over later, Xu Wen would definitely be pissed.

In order to prevent a tragedy from happening and to avoid having to find someone else who knew how to put on makeup, she rushed to say, ”Hurry up and do your exercises. I’ll get Wen to help me with the makeup.”

”Xu Wen, don’t be jealous. It’s hard to compete with a natural beauty. Hurry up and put on makeup for Little Jian. Don’t dawdle. No matter how long you dawdle, you won’t be able to look like Ye Jian. Just be a black pearl. That’s good too. Don’t think about it anymore. It’ll be more annoying if you think too much.”

Xu Wen was already very frustrated. She glared at He Jing. ”Are we still comrades? Do you not have any sense of camaraderie anymore? Do you even know how to comfort people? Go! Go and do your exercises.”

She was so angry that she almost fainted.

He Jing, who was sitting back and doing exercises, didn’t forget to pat Xu Wen’s shoulder to show her sincerity.

Xu Wen gritted her teeth and replied, ”Thank you for your consolation.”

In Ye Jian’s opinion, the easiest way to put on makeup was just to put on some lipstick and that was all.

To Xu Wen, even light makeup had to be done step by step.

Ye Jian didn’t agree to apply all kinds of powder on her face. He Jing added, ”Nothing can compare to natural beauty. If you don’t have a good base, we’d need to apply a few layers of makeup. As for Ye Jian, I think she should just fill in her eyebrows and put on some lipstick. That’s it!”
