I Just Started College, How Could I Become a Part-Time Papa?!

Chapter 128: Chapter 84: A Date with Fang Youqing

Chen Yuan returned to his dorm room. Only Sun Pengnan was there, reading a novel on his bed.

”Where are the other two?”

”They went next door to play mahjong.”

Turning on his side, Sun Pengnan looked at Chen Yuan. ”That `Dragon Race` series you recommended is amazing. I feel like I’ve been missing out all this time. My only complaint is that it’s too short.”

”Where are you up to?”

”I’m already on `Long San`. Hui Liyi is just perfect, way better than Nuonuo.”

”Let me give you a little spoiler: it has a perfectly happy ending. It’s awesome.”

”I don’t need you to tell me, I already knew. The two of them definitely get together in the end.”

”Right, right, right. You’re totally right.”

”Who do you think has a better writing style, him or Tang Family’s Third Young Master? I thought `Douluo Continent` was pretty hype too.”

’Yang Zhi, this is what happens when you don’t update your novel regularly. People are even starting to compare you to him.’

”Don’t ask such idiotic questions in the future. Otherwise, people will think you’ve had your brain removed.”

”Damn!”

Grabbing his toiletries, Chen Yuan got ready to go to the bathroom.

Hm?

He glanced out the window unconsciously and saw a familiar figure.

”Song Jianye!”

Hm?

Outside the dorm building, Song Jianye was eating a sundae and carrying a drink, walking toward his dorm.

Hearing someone call his name, he turned to look and was startled to see Chen Yuan standing at a third-floor window.

’Oh no! Run!’

Carrying his things, Song Jianye broke into a jog and disappeared from Chen Yuan’s sight without a second glance.

’When I get back to the dorm, if he asks about this, I’ll just say he saw wrong.’

’I absolutely can’t admit it!’

”Where’s Song the School Beauty? I want to see too,” Sun Pengnan said, craning his neck.

”He’s long gone.”

He left with his toiletries, having more or less figured out Song Jianye’s little game.

’He doesn’t seem that smart, but the guy’s got a thousand schemes going on.’

After washing up, Chen Yuan lay down.

When he got back, he had a message from Fang Youning on his phone.

Fang Youning: ”You there?”

Chen Yuan: ”Yeah.”

Fang Youning: ”I just came back from Teaching Building 3 and passed by your dorm.”

Chen Yuan got out of bed, went to the window, and saw Fang Youning right below his dorm. She waved at him, then pointed to her phone.

On his phone, there was a new message.

Fang Youning: ”I have half a bag of preserved plums here. Want them?”

Chen Yuan: ”That’s not enough. I’ve got three more hungry sons in here waiting to be fed.”

Fang Youning: ”But this is all I have on me. I have more in my dorm, though. You can come with me to get them.”

He glanced downstairs. Fang Youning showed no sign of leaving; she was sitting on the edge of a nearby flowerbed, chatting on her phone.

’Such a tease.’

Putting down his phone, Chen Yuan got dressed, planning to go down and meet the young songstress.

”Where are you going? Didn’t Song Jianye already leave?”

”There’s still Fang Youning. I have to entertain them all.”

”Why don’t you go die for Xia Mi while you’re at it!”

”I’m off.”

Downstairs, by the flowerbed, Fang Youning held her phone, staring at the screen.

’Why hasn’t he messaged me back yet?’

’Did he get held up by something else?’

’But he clearly knows I’m downstairs chatting with him. How could he go off and do something else?’

’Oh well, I’ll forgive him. Maybe he really had something important to do, like taking a call from his mom.’

’I’m not waiting anymore. I still have to go back and wash up.’

She stood up and patted the dust from her pants, but just then, she saw Chen Yuan walk out of the dorm building.

’He’s here!’

’So, he didn’t message back, not because something important came up, but because he was coming down to find me!’

’No, wait!’

’How is coming to find me not something important?’

”You came down in just your slippers?”

”It was easier.”

Fang Youning covered her mouth as she laughed. ”Your feet are pretty fair.”

”Like them? I’ll let you have a feel.”

”No way! You definitely haven’t washed your feet.”

Fang Youning smiled, putting on a playfully disgusted expression. ”But I’ve noticed, you seem to have fairer skin than most girls.”

”Don’t say that. I have darker parts too.”

Hm?

Fang Youning was a little confused by his words.

’How could a fair-skinned person have dark spots on their body? It can’t be a birthmark, can it?’

’That’s probably the only possibility. But it doesn’t matter.’

The two of them didn’t just stand there downstairs. People were always coming and going, so it wasn’t a good place to talk.

They wandered over to the Science Park building and sat down on the steps.

”I have to tell you something. My little nephew got a spanking.”

As she spoke, Fang Youning took out her phone and played a short video. Her little nephew was on the sofa, wiping away tears.

His eyes were red from crying.

”What for?”

”Ever since you left, he’s been crying and screaming about wanting to play with you every day. My sister couldn’t stand it anymore, so she gave him a spanking.”

’This 100% affinity passive skill is truly overpowered. We didn’t even spend that much time together, and the little guy is already completely fixated on me.’

”Did the spanking make him behave?”

”No, he’s still saying he wants to find you to play. My sister is at her wit’s end,” Fang Youning said, also sounding a bit exasperated. ”He’s never been like this before.”

’The little nephew liking to play with me isn’t a bad thing in itself.’

’Besides, the quests related to the nephew are different from Mili’s. They’re all passive; they don’t give you a specific objective. You only get a notification after it’s complete.’

’So...’

’I should interact more with the little nephew. You never know when a quest might get completed.’

”My sister is thinking of signing my nephew up for a basketball class. Since you’re the expert, she wanted to ask for your opinion, to see if it’s a good idea.”

’Of all the people to learn from, you pick Lao Wang.’

”Signing him up for that at two years old? Isn’t that a little intense?”

”It’s not about being intense. My sister feels that since he always plays with girls and our family is mostly women, he’s lacking a bit of masculine energy. So she wants to sign him up for a class that involves some physical contact.”
