I Just Started College, How Could I Become a Part-Time Papa?!

Chapter 106: Chapter 77: Jiang Wanyi’s Life Motto

Judging by the exterior and the building’s lobby, he knew it was a high-end residential complex. The apartments here wouldn’t be cheap.

After arriving at the complex, he called Fang Youning. Following her directions, he found them in a small park.

Fang Youning was wearing slim-fit blue jeans and ankle boots, with a casual blazer on top—the classic university girl outfit, a stark contrast to the young mothers nearby.

Her little nephew was almost two. At this stage, he could walk just fine, though not very steadily. His perception of the world was also at its most intense.

Although he could sleep through the night by this age, the daytime was exhausting. You had to watch him every single moment, or he could get into danger.

Fang Youning was clearly a novice. As the child walked ahead, she was bent over, carefully trailing behind him, terrified something might happen. It would be a miracle if she wasn’t exhausted watching a kid like that.

’But then again, she has a great ass.’

’Nice.’

Chen Yuan didn’t rush over, wanting to watch a little longer, but Fang Youning spotted him.

The look of helpless anxiety on her face was instantly replaced by delight.

”You’re finally here.”

”Your little nephew seems fine. He’s not as disobedient as you said.”

”I have to follow him constantly, I don’t get a moment’s rest. Taking care of a child is so hard,” Fang Youning said miserably.

”The whole point of bringing him out here is to give you a break. Just keep an eye on him. As long as he’s not in danger, let him do whatever he wants.”

The space at home is limited, and there are dangerous things like glass objects, as well as some valuables. A child can’t be allowed to touch any of that.

But it’s different outside. The world is his oyster; let him do as he pleases.

”I’m afraid he’ll fall.”

”So what if he does? If his clothes get dirty, you wash them. Besides, he’s a boy. A little fall is no big deal. Don’t be so narrow-minded.”

”Huh~~~”

Fang Youning thought about it and realized he seemed to have a point.

The little nephew walked on ahead while the two of them followed behind. Without bending over or holding out their hands to protect him, things instantly became much more relaxed.

”Feeling better now, right?”

”Mhm, it’s much better now that you’re here. I’m not as tired. But don’t get the wrong idea!”

Fang Youning put on a serious expression on her pretty face and looked at Chen Yuan formally.

”I wasn’t tricking you into coming to help. I really can’t handle him on my own.”

”I know.”

’You don’t have a Tongzi and you have zero experience. Of course you can’t handle a two-year-old kid.’

”Is your sister the only one who takes care of the baby at home? What if she has to go on a business trip again and you have school?”

”This time was special. The housekeeper had something to do this weekend, so there was no one to watch him.”

”What about your brother-in-law?”

”My brother-in-law is out at sea,” Fang Youning said. ”He’s a sailor, operates ships. Do you know that profession?”

’Holy shit, King of the Pirates!’

’Isn’t that a job for Lao Wang?!’

’Your brother-in-law should switch places with Lao Wang.’

”I’ve heard of it. Sounds like they’re away a lot.”

”Yeah, so the task of taking care of the child falls on my sister,” Fang Youning sighed. ”My sister works really hard too, so I have to help her share the burden a little.”

”I get it.”

Looked at it this way, Fang Youning was actually very considerate.

”Come on, wave to the big brother.”

While they were watching the boy, a middle-aged woman pushing a stroller came up to them. The child in the stroller wasn’t old, looking like he had just turned one.

Hearing his grandma speak, the child waved at the little nephew, very obediently.

”How old is your child?”

Fang Youning instantly straightened her back, her expression freezing.

’Do Chen Yuan and I really look that much like the child’s parents standing together?’

’I’m only 18!’

”Th-this isn’t my child, he’s my little nephew...” Fang Youning hurriedly explained. ”He’s 25 months old now.”

”His big eyes are so beautiful. He looks just like you...”

It seemed she really had been misunderstood.

(╥╯^╰╥)

The little nephew didn’t stop, continuing to walk ahead on his own, with the two of them following behind.

But Fang Youning’s eyes were darting around, looking at the other people in the complex.

”What are you doing? On the lookout for thieves?”

”No, no, no...” Fang Youning said quickly.

”Look, there are so many young moms with their kids in the complex. Do you think they’ll also mistake me for his mother?”

Chen Yuan glanced at Fang Youning’s outfit and nodded. ”It’s possible, but it’s not a big deal.”

”Yes it is! I’m only 18! I bet they’re all thinking, ’That mom is so young.’ They’ll probably say I’m indecent, got pregnant out of wedlock, or something...”

”You’re that familiar with all this petty gossip?”

”Well, it’s what the elders in my family talk about.”

”Oh no. Does that mean you’re going to be gossiping with people after you get married?”

”No, no! Absolutely not!” Fang Youning vehemently denied. ”I don’t like talking about that stuff either.”

Fang Youning was so nervous she didn’t know how to explain herself, terrified that Chen Yuan would misunderstand and think she was that kind of person.

Strolling along, the three of them arrived at a sandbox, and the little nephew went to play in the sand.

Along the way, whenever Chen Yuan saw the boy wander into the middle of the path, he would call out to him, since private cars and delivery vans occasionally drove through the complex.

The little nephew was very obedient. Whenever Chen Yuan called out, he would dutifully come back.

”Why doesn’t he listen when I say it?”

”Beats me.”

’I have a 100% affinity bonus, so of course he’s going to listen to me. But I can’t say that out loud.’

Finding a relatively clean spot, the two of them sat down side-by-side.

The jeans and ankle boots were a perfect match, thanks in no small part to Fang Youning’s nicely shaped legs.
