I Just Started College, How Could I Become a Part-Time Papa?!

Chapter 115: Chapter 80: It Should Be Different, Right?

”Sis, I’m going back to bed.”

”Wait a minute...”

Fang Youqing stopped her younger sister.

”What’s wrong?”

”You’re in college now, so I’m not against you dating. But remember this: don’t go staying the night with someone after just a few days.”

”What are you talking about? We’re really just classmates. We just get along pretty well.”

”I don’t care what kind of relationship it is. Just be careful. You absolutely cannot stay out overnight.”

Fang Youqing wasn’t old-fashioned. Even if her sister wanted to, it couldn’t be now. They’d have to date for at least half a year or a year first.

”It’s really not like that, so stop overthinking things.”

Her cheeks beet red, Fang Youning returned to the guest room, turned off the light, and burrowed under the covers like a cat.

’My sister is so annoying!’

’Why does she always bring this stuff up!’

’We’re just classmates, but they always twist it into something else.’

She opened her phone, tapped on her chat with Chen Yuan, and sent him a sticker.

Fang Youning: ”Thank youuu.JPG”

Chen Yuan: ”You’re welcome.”

Fang Youning: ”I’m going to sleep. Nighty night.JPG”

Chen Yuan: ”Good night.”

’Why doesn’t he say something else? He’s so aloof.’

’If you’d just say something more, I wouldn’t go to sleep!’

’I could just hit you!’

Lying in bed and looking at her past chat history with Chen Yuan, Fang Youning found it hard to fall asleep.

She thought about how she had helped hold her little nephew earlier, which inexplicably reminded her of what Chen Yuan had said during the day.

He had said it was an essential skill for a man.

’Could he have been referring to this?’

For some reason, Fang Youning’s face suddenly turned red, as if it were on fire. It even felt hot to the touch.

When she was bathing her little nephew, she had secretly poked it a few times.

It was actually pretty fun—all bouncy and springy.

The words Chen Yuan had said surfaced in her mind—that she couldn’t poke his...

’His must be different from my little nephew’s... right...?’

AHHHH—

’Fang Youning, what on earth are you thinking about?!’

’You have no shame!’

’Just go to sleep!’

「...」

The next morning, the alarm clock rang with a BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ.

He struggled out of bed, his head drooping in a sleepy haze. ’Please, life, be kind to this old man in his twenties.’

He glanced over at Liu Shiyu’s bed.

’Did that bastard die in a hotel or something? It’s Monday and he’s still not back.’

”Oh, I remember now.”

Sun Pengnan sat up, rubbing his eyes. He said:

”He said he messaged you yesterday but you didn’t reply, so he called me. He wants you to ask for a day off for him; he’s skipping the first class.”

He opened his phone and took a look. Sure enough, there was a message from him, but it had been pushed to the bottom of the list, and he’d forgotten to check.

”I’m not the class monitor, how am I supposed to get him out of class?”

”Aren’t you on good terms with the English teacher? It’s just for one class.”

”That son of a bitch definitely wasn’t idle last night. I’m seriously afraid he’s going to die in a hotel.”

Grumbling, Chen Yuan got up to wash his face. Sun Pengnan and Sheng Kangming got up one after another as well.

After washing up and eating breakfast, they headed to class.

The young Mrs. Bai hadn’t arrived yet. Chen Yuan yawned.

’Life is so dull and boring. Eight a.m. classes are murder. If the young Mrs. Bai doesn’t wear black stockings and high heels today, there’s probably nothing to look forward to this week.’

CLICK-CLACK-CLICK—

The clicking of high heels approached. He could judge the mission progress by the sound.

[High Heels: 1/1]

[Black Stockings: 0/1]

CREAK—

Bai Yueran pushed the door open and walked in. Nude pantyhose—bad review.

Chen Yuan got up, went to the edge of the lectern, and said in a low voice:

”Teacher Bai, Liu Shiyu has a cold and can’t come to class. I’m asking for a day off for him.”

”Liu Shiyu? Who’s that? I don’t seem to recall him.”

’Asking for leave on his behalf felt a little presumptuous...’

”He’s my roommate. I left the written request for leave in the dorm. I’ll bring it next class.”

”No need. You can keep the leave request for another class.”

”Got it.”

Chen Yuan went back to his seat and class continued.

Today’s lecture was again related to the CET-4 exam. After all, getting one or two of these certificates was the whole point of college.

In between, she would still insert some stories from her love life, which everyone just treated as a bit of fun.

With ten minutes left in class, Bai Yueran tucked her hair back.

”You all brought the vocabulary books I handed out before, right? From now on, there will be a short quiz during class. It will cover the first two pages, 100 words in total. The quiz is next class, so go home and memorize them.”

”Got it,” the class replied.

After announcing the vocabulary quiz, there were about nine minutes left.

Seeing that Bai Yueran had already packed her bag, Chen Yuan guessed she was about to start telling stories about her love life.

”Don’t think that just because you’re freshmen, the CET-4 is far away. If you can’t pass it in your first year, you’ll fall behind. And don’t think learning English is useless. Back when my husband and I...”

’She even added a little preamble before starting...’

The bell rang, ending today’s story time. Bai Yueran picked up her bag and called Chen Yuan over.

”Use your class funds to print out the Chinese definitions of the words for next class’s quiz. I’m putting you in charge of this. Understand?”

’Leave it to me, and you’ll have plenty to worry about.’

”No problem.”

”You’re my class representative. You’d better do well on this quiz. If you bomb it, you won’t be able to command any respect.”

”It’s a piece of cake.”

After giving Chen Yuan his instructions, Bai Yueran left. Zheng Wenkai very consciously moved to sit in the front row.

”I need 30 yuan. I’m going to print the quiz sheets.”

”I’ll transfer it to you in a bit,” Zheng Wenkai said.

”What did Teacher Bai say to you just now? Did she say she’ll replace you as the English class rep if you do poorly on the quiz?”

”You sound fucking thrilled about it.”

”Let’s trade. You can be the advanced math class rep.”

”Don’t be ungrateful for your blessings. You get to learn about the history of the Soviet Union during advanced math class. What more could you want?”

”Don’t fucking mention it. Last week in advanced math, I bought a coffee and forgot to put the lid on. I watched with my own two eyes as his spit flew into my cup.”

Zheng Wenkai cursed, ”I got a 132 on my college entrance exam for English. I’m more suited to be the English class representative.”
