The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 796: Chapter 796: Perhaps It’s Innate Incompatibility of Water and Fire?_1

Carson Flores narrowed his eyes and whispered, ”Does this count as crashing the party? Isn’t he afraid of being stripped and hung from a flagpole?”

Marcellus Foster’s eyes sparkled, his face alight with the excited expression of someone who relishes in gossip.

”He’s not afraid at all! He is the current genius of the ancient Lam Family, Kash Lam. Like Lainey Dragon, he also possesses a Five Elements Spiritual Body, but his is a Fire Spirit Body. He cultivates Lam Family’s Divine Flame Technique, using fire as his weapon. It was originally thought that the Lam Family, situated at the border of Misrds State and Beihuang State, would be more active in Beihuang State and not attend the grand competition in Misrds State.”

Carson Flores asked, ”How does the Five Elements Spiritual Body compare to the Innate Taoist Body?”

Marcellus Foster laughed, ”Heaven and earth are divided into five elements, and there are very few cultivators born with the Five Elements Spiritual Body. Those with a Five Elements Spiritual Body, when they cultivate techniques that match their own body’s attributes, can achieve results twice as fast and can reach extremely terrifying realms. An Innate Taoist Body, on the other hand, faces no bottlenecks in cultuvation and also manifests phenomena. It’s not easy to compare which is superior, but if we really must, the Innate Taoist Body would be slightly superior because the combat power of the phenomena that combine the ways of heaven and earth is just too strong.”

Carson Flores uttered an ”oh,” then pressed further, ”Are Five Elements Spiritual Bodies common?”

”Naturally, they are not. Both Lainey Dragon and Kash Lam are rare geniuses of this world. They are treasured and protected by their families or Sects.”

Marcellus Foster added, ”As far as I know, in Misrds State, only Lainey Dragon and Kash Lam have the Five Elements Spiritual Body.”

Carson Flores’s gaze fell on Kash Lam below: ”Those two don’t get along?”

Marcellus Foster’s expression turned peculiar, ”Maybe it’s an inherent clash, like water and fire? Whenever these two meet, they can’t end the encounter without a fight. It’s said they’ve fought several times. Hehe, there will be a good show today.”

Carson Flores secretly marveled. This competition was gathering all sorts of talents, surely it would be spectacular.

”Kash Lam, just you wait. You’ll see,” a woman’s light voice suddenly sounded through the air. The voice carried a sweet, soft caress, with an indescribable and indefinable sensation that tickled the heart, inciting an irresistible yearning.

Carson Flores’s mind also experienced a moment of daze, with the voice soft as though it was resonating in the depths of the soul, even creating the illusion that this woman was speaking directly to him.

Carson Flores shifted his gaze and observed the men in the hall, finding most of them with misty eyes and a dazed expression, their faces filled with blissful and anticipatory longing.

Carson Flores was startled. This woman was incredibly powerful.

She hadn’t even shown her face, and merely with a sentence, she had unsettled everyone’s minds, filling them with fantasies.

Marcellus Foster’s eyes shone with excitement, ”It sounds like she really is going to dance. We’re in for a treat today.”

Below, Kash Lam laughed heartily, ”All right, I’m waiting for you. Let’s see if your Sky Demon Dance has improved over the years.”

This time, Lainey Dragon did not respond.

Kash Lam did not mind. He grabbed a wine jug from the table, guzzled it down, then casually tossed the jug away. ”Bring me more wine and dishes! Don’t worry, I never dine-and-dash. I have plenty of Spirit Stones, just serve it up!”

Soon a large table of wine and dishes was arranged before Kash Lam. Kash propped one foot on a chair, grabbed a pork knuckle with his hand, and began to eat heartily, his actions rough and wild but somehow giving off an extremely generous aura.

Whether it was the news of Lainey Dragon performing the Sky Demon Dance or Kash Lam’s presence, more and more guests flooded in.

A man in his thirties dressed in green clothes entered the hall with the crowd, a glint in his eyes, then his gaze settled on Carson Flores, and the corners of his mouth lifted slightly.

He walked upstairs leisurely, taking a seat in a private room not far from Carson Flores, at a diagonal angle. He ordered a couple of appetizers, a pot of wine, and a stack of peanuts.

Without touching the appetizers, he picked up a peanut with his slender fingers, shelled it, and then gently rubbed off the thin skin before tossing it into his mouth. His actions were neither rushed nor sluggish, exuding an air of leisure.

”Boom, boom, boom”

A sudden burst of rapid drumming rose, the women on the stage finished their performance and swiftly retreated, the lights in the hall dimmed significantly, the white brightness dissipated, and the red light became softer and full of atmosphere.

It’s time!

Everyone’s spirits were lifted, they watched intently with wide eyes and awaited eagerly, eyes shining with expectation.

The sound of a qin suddenly began to play.

A silhouette gently descended from the air, and in an instant, everyone’s gaze converged on that graceful figure.

It was a young woman with a veil covering her face, the semi-transparent veil hiding her features, but a pair of eyes were all the more vivid under the light, enchanting and alluring to anyone who laid eyes upon her face.

The young woman, with her feet bare, her shins adorned with golden anklets, wore a short skirt and an upper garment of fine gauze, not particularly revealing, with no scenery exposed.

Carson Flores raised an eyebrow slightly, was this Lainey Dragon?

Just by looking, she was indeed lovely, but it appeared to be just that—loveliness?

The young woman leaped into the air, landing directly on a large drum below, her toes lightly tapping, and the drum resonating to her touch.

Each of her steps seemed to land on the hearts of the spectators, causing their own hearts to beat in time with the rhythm of the drum.

She began to spin.

She began to dance.

The entire hall gradually quieted down, eventually reaching an eerie silence, like a stagnant pool...
