Chapter 772: Chapter 772: Carson Flores, the son of Westin Flores, Seeks an Audience with Aunt Tang_1

”My father is Westin Flores, a disciple of Elder Fernando Acevedo from Mount Kahdas’s Tianquan Peak, and my mother is Lucy Frost, originally from the Mortal Realm. My parents fell in love in the Mortal Realm and gave birth to me. After being hunted down by enemies, they were rescued by Miss Adelaide Bautista, who brought them back to Mount Kahdas.”

”I lived in the Mortal Realm for twenty-seven years. A year ago, I entered the Nutwood Heavenly Cave on my master’s orders to deliver a message and also to visit my parents.”

Tanner Bautista expressed surprise, ”So you’re the child Westin Flores left in the Mortal Realm... Have you seen your mother?”

Westin Flores was among the best of the young generation disciples, and since Adelaide Bautista fell in love with Westin Flores and had given so much for him, he naturally left a deep impression on him.

Carson Flores nodded, took out the Jade Slip entrusted to him by Master Campbell, and respectfully handed it to Tanner Bautista, ”I saw her yesterday.”

Tanner Bautista took the Jade Slip, ”Do you also know about your father’s affairs?”

Carson Flores calmly answered, ”Yes.”

Tanner Bautista stared at Carson Flores as if trying to peer into his heart. After a long moment, he retracted his gaze and scanned the Jade Slip with his Divine Sense, his expression suddenly becoming more grave.

Tanner Bautista was silent for a while before putting away the Jade Slip and looking at Carson Flores again, ”What are your plans regarding your mother?”

Carson Flores spoke solemnly, ”I originally planned to take her back to Nutwood Heavenly Cave, but she is reluctant to leave her old home and wishes to wait for my father’s return. I wouldn’t force her, so I ask the Cave Master to permit me to visit her in the future.”

Tanner Bautista grunted and casually threw a Token, ”With this token, you may freely enter and leave Mount Kahdas.”

Carson Flores bowed in thanks and spoke again, ”Cave Master, may I ask what was the purpose of exploring Harmony Hollow Forbidden Ground that day?”

Tanner Bautista answered calmly, ”To explore, to train. At that time, an elder led the team, but unfortunately, the mission went awry, and the losses were heavy.”

Training?

Exploring what?

Tanner Bautista summarized in one sentence, clearly not intending to elaborate. Carson Flores, however, could sense something unusual.

Training required going to the Forbidden Ground?

Wasn’t that akin to seeking death?

But since Tanner Bautista didn’t wish to say more, Carson Flores had no choice but to curb his curiosity and nod, ”Thank you, Cave Master, for the information.”

With a wave of his hand, Tanner Bautista made three points of light suddenly fly from the ice lake towards Carson Flores.

”As you are a disciple of old Master Stone, I present you with three lotus seeds as a meeting gift. Tell your master I am aware, and I will be closely watching.”

Carson Flores reached out to catch the three points of light, which were three lotus seeds glowing faintly, exuding an aura of mystery.

Although unsure of the lotus seeds’ nature, he knew they weren’t ordinary. Carson Flores respectfully expressed his gratitude, ”Thank you, Cave Master, for your generous gift.”

Tanner Bautista smiled, ”At twenty-seven years of age, you’ve trained in the Mortal Realm and have been in the Cultivation Realm for one year, reached the Golden Core Late Stage, and made minor achievements in the Sword Bone. Master Stone has indeed taken on a fine disciple. You may leave now.”

Carson Flores bowed again, then left that wondrous place.

Onyx Mason, who had been waiting from afar, saw Carson Flores coming out and led him back.

Carson Flores asked seemingly casually, ”Steward Mason, that ice lake where the Cave Master was located seemed quite mystical, with lotus flowers twinkling...”

Pride shone in Onyx Mason’s eyes, ”That’s the Exotic Tongtian Lotus, which absorbs nature’s spiritual energy. It can bear fruit once every hundred years and is a rare treasure of heaven and earth, greatly beneficial in improving a cultivator’s strength.”

One fruit every hundred years?

Inwardly, Carson Flores thought, I’m familiar with this. Let me help quicken the process, and I assure you’ll harvest in an instant.

Of course, such thoughts could only be entertained in his mind. The Life Essence Pearl was the treasured relic of Heavenly Mountain Cave, and revealing it would undoubtedly lead to great troubles.

Heavenly Mountain was one of the top ten Caves, and Carson Flores couldn’t afford to provoke it!

Samantha Tate was still in Heavenly Mountain.

”I wish to visit Miss Adelaide...”

Without a word, Onyx Mason led Carson Flores to Tianxuan Peak, and soon they arrived at the 499th cave dwelling on Tianxuan Peak.

Standing in front of the cave dwelling, Carson Flores called out, ”Nutwood Mountain disciple Carson Flores, seeks an audience with Miss Adelaide.”

After a moment, a few words floated out from the cave dwelling, crisp and decisive, with a sense of the grave sound that comes from striking metal upon stone.

”In retreat, not receiving visitors.”

Carson Flores was taken aback, then after a moment, spoke again, ”Son of Westin Flores, Carson Flores, seeks an audience with Aunt Adelaide.”

Seconds later, the cave’s defenses were deactivated, the door’s light barrier vanished, and Adelaide Bautista appeared at the threshold, her gaze fixed sharply on Carson Flores like a piercing sword, slicing through one’s soul.

Adelaide Bautista was very beautiful, indeed a ravishing beauty, but her eyes were cold, her entire being exuding an icy chill like that of a frigid glacier.

Unlike Shirley Miller’s gentle coolness, Adelaide Bautista was like a razor-sharp icy sword, the epitome of frostiness and austerity.

The instant she saw Carson Flores’ face, a moment of bewilderment flashed across Adelaide’s frosty eyes.

Like!

So like him!

He was the spitting image of Westin Flores from the past, from the brows to the eyes, even his aura almost identical.

Adelaide Bautista knew Westin Flores and Lucy Frost had a child left behind in the Mortal Realm, who had now grown up into an adult.

”What did you call me just now?”

Carson Flores respectfully responded, ”Aunt Adelaide.”

There was a slight fluctuation in Adelaide’s gaze, ”Why do you address me so, when I have no relation to you?”
