The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 762: Chapter 762 I Want to Inquire About Two People_1

Joaquin Moses’s insight had confirmed the origin of the Dark Seal for Carson Flores, and he had been extremely cooperative throughout the process, so Carson had accepted Joaquin Moses as a travel companion.

Without incident, the two arrived at Jade Peak City.

”I need to make a trip to Mount Kahdas. You wait for me in Jade Peak City,” Carson said.

Joaquin Moses looked at Carson skeptically, ”You’re not planning to ditch me and disappear, are you?”

Carson laughed, ”Of course not. Even if I really wanted to explore the Tomb of the Demon Emperor, I couldn’t do without you. There are some key pieces of information you haven’t shared yet, right?”

Joaquin Moses pursed his lips, ”Yes, that information is only useful when we get to Harmony Hollow.”

Carson nodded, ”That’s right. So just wait patiently, and I’ll come back for you after I handle my affairs.”

”How long will it take?” asked Joaquin Moses.

Carson pondered for two seconds and shook his head, ”I don’t know, it could be soon or it might take a while. If it takes longer, I’ll inform you.”

”Okay!”

Carson and Joaquin Moses parted ways in Jade Peak City, and Carson flew alone toward the barrier of Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven.

A day later, Carson reached the barrier and found the gatekeeper.

The gatekeeper was an elderly man with white hair, living atop a mountain peak, in a few small wooden huts under a large tree that seemed to be over a thousand years old, with lush branches and leaves forming a canopy above.

This elder seemed ageless, but felt very old and unfathomably deep.

Carson took out the Jade Pendant that represented his status as a disciple of Nutwood Heavenly Cave and handed it to the elder.

”Disciple of the Nutwood Heavenly Cave’s Cave Master, Carson Flores, bearing a letter for Master Tang.”

The elder’s gaze fell upon Carson, and it felt like he could see through Carson’s soul, ”Are you also from the Sword Bone lineage?”

Carson nodded, ”Yes, I have only recently joined my sect and usually follow my third senior sister in cultivation.”

The elder tossed the Jade Pendant back to Carson, then threw a black token to him, ”This is a pass token, which can only be used once. After you enter the barrier, it will guide you to the Cave Heaven.”

Carson was thrilled inside, indeed, having a background made things smoother.

With the identity of Master Campbell’s disciple, he entered Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven without any hindrance. If he hadn’t had this status, gaining entry would probably not have been so easy.

Although announcing his parents’ names might also have given him a chance to enter, who knew what their current situation was?

After parting with the gatekeeper, Carson used the token to enter the barrier. The token emitted a faint white glow, guiding the way forward.

Carson flew for a day and finally passed through the entrance to the secret realm, officially entering Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven.

At the secret realm entrance, cultivators stood guard to check the identities of those coming and going.

After announcing his identity, the disciples of Mount Kahdas quickly led Carson toward the main peak of Mount Kahdas.

Like Nutwood Heavenly Cave, Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven was also dotted with numerous cities on the ground, while the cultivators resided within the connected mountain ranges at the far end.

Each mountain peak soared into the clouds, grand and imposing, with various palaces and buildings strewn among them with no end in sight. There were cranes dancing in the mountains and waterfalls thousands of meters tall cascading down like the Milky Way, a sight of exquisite beauty.

Although the peaks of Nutwood Heavenly Cave also stood towering into the clouds and had an air of fantasy because of their suspension, the contiguous mountain ranges of Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven appeared even more majestic and impressive.

Curiously, Carson asked, ”This is my first time to Mount Kahdas. How many sects are in this place?”

The disciple guiding him smiled, ”Mount Kahdas itself is a sect, with a hundred thousand disciples and no other sects.”

Carson was inwardly astonished. It was no wonder it was one of the top ten cave heavens, with so many disciples; the number was truly astonishing.

Each of the Four Great Sects of Nutwood had a few thousand disciples. All added together, they probably had about twenty thousand, just one-fifth of the disciples of Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven.

Carson was led to the guest quarters to rest, ”Please rest here in the guest quarters for now. We’ve reported your arrival, and someone will notify you when there’s news.”

”Okay!”

This was a mountain retreat especially for visiting guests, with dedicated servants and maids to attend to the guests.

Carson found it hard to contain his excitement, having gone through so much to finally enter Mount Kahdas. Naturally, he wanted to find out about his parents as soon as possible.

A maid brought Carson some tea, and he asked, ”Miss, I would like to inquire about two people, Westin Flores and Lucy Frost. They should be a married couple...”

The maid replied apologetically, ”I am just a maid. If you wish to inquire about someone, you may speak with the steward here.”

Carson said, ”Then could you please relay a message to the steward for me?”

Soon, the steward arrived hurriedly. As steward, he was acquainted with the background of every guest, and the young man before him appeared young but was indeed a direct disciple of the Nutwood Cave Master, a person of great status.

”Master Carson, I am the steward of the guest quarters, Onyx Mason. Is there anything I can assist you with?” he asked.

Carson smiled, ”I am looking for two people, Westin Flores and Lucy Frost, a married couple. Westin once went to the Mortal Realm, and later, both of them were injured and brought back to Mount Kahdas by a Miss Tang...”
