The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 768: Chapter 768: Talk with Fists, Not Reason, Right?_1

”I’ve had feelings but never confessed them.”

Lucy Frost said softly, ”Your dad mentioned that if he hadn’t met me, there’s a high chance he would have ended up with Miss Tang, but when it comes to matters of the heart...”

Lucy didn’t finish, but Carson Flores understood.

He had feelings, but perhaps they were just that, and since they were never expressed, it meant that he and Miss Tang had never opened up and defined their relationship.

If he hadn’t met his mother, then maybe those feelings could have brought them together eventually, but since he met his mother, his father found true love, and that only left an apology for Miss Tang.

Carson Flores paused for a moment, ”Do you know where Miss Tang lives?”

”Tianxuan Peak, cave dwelling No. 499.”

Lucy Frost looked up, staring at Carson Flores, ”Do you want to see her?”

Carson Flores nodded frankly, ”Yes.”

Had it not been for Adelaide Bautista that day, both Westin Flores and Lucy Frost would have died—such a significant debt. Moreover, her subsequent help for Lucy, that sort of character and poise, was admirable. As their son, now that he was here, he should pay her a visit.

While they were talking, suddenly there was a shout from outside.

”Lucy Frost, come out!”

Carson Flores stood up, ”I’ll go out by myself.”

Lucy Frost, with a worried look on her face, advised, ”Reveal your identity early to avoid more troubles.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”I’ll be careful, don’t worry.”

Carson Flores stepped out of the courtyard and saw five people standing in front, one of whom was the flamboyant woman he had injured earlier. The leader was a middle-aged man.

Upon seeing Carson Flores come out, the flamboyant woman shouted loudly, ”Brother Chen, it’s him! He was the one who attacked and injured us just now!”

The middle-aged man asked coldly, ”I am Chen Yi, a disciple of Tianquan Peak. What’s your name?”

Carson Flores smiled in response, ”Carson Flores... are you planning to stand up for them?”

Chen Yi said coldly, ”I’ve heard that you’re not a disciple of Kahdas?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”That’s correct. I come from Nutwood Mountain, and I am here on a mission, also to pay my mother a visit. I stumbled upon them bullying my mother and trying to seize her cave dwelling, so I stepped in and beat them. Any problems with that?”

Nutwood Mountain?

Chen Yi said coldly, ”Regardless of your relationship with Lucy Frost, matters of the cave dwellings are internal affairs of Kahdas, and outsiders should not interfere. Your involvement is overstepping; be careful or your hand might get broken.”

Carson Flores grinned, ”You can ignore the matter of the cave dwelling. I’m just asking one question, is it right to beat them for bullying my mother?”

Chen Yi was momentarily at a loss for words.

Was an answer needed for that?

He obviously knew the full story. It was simply that Disciple Lena Parrish saw that Westin Flores was dead and wanted to take over this cave dwelling, so she found an excuse to bully Lucy. But she did not expect to be caught red-handed by Carson Flores, who happened to visit and naturally beat them up.

Reasoning was useless; Chen Yi wasn’t here to reason. He was on the side of his kindred and not on the side of what’s right anyway. After all, Westin Flores was dead and Lucy Frost, being a Foundation Establishment Cultivator from the Mortal Realm who had been bullied, was just that—bullied.

Lena Parrish’s great uncle was Elder Qi Hai, so helping Lena would also count as a huge favor, wouldn’t it?

Chen Yi sneered, ”This is Mount Kahdas, not your Nutwood Mountain. No matter the case, you’ve attacked a disciple of Kahdas, and as their senior brother, I have no choice but to capture you first, and we can discuss right and wrong afterward.”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”So, we talk with fists, not reason, right?”

Chen Yi said coldly, ”Whatever you say is useless.”

Carson tossed out the Xuan Turtle Shield casually, smiling, ”Are you planning to go at it alone, or do you want to gang up?”

Chen Yi scoffed, ”Arrogant!”

Chen Yi didn’t use a Flying Sword; he stepped forward and punched towards Carson Flores.

Carson Flores didn’t take the blow head-on. Instead, he floated back. At the same time, the cloak on Carson Flores’s body suddenly lifted a corner, and a Beast Taming Bag floated out, its mouth quickly enlarging.

”Beast Tamer!”

Chen Yi snorted coldly. His Flying Sword levitated instantly, ”Dare to release it, and I’ll dare to cut it down!”

A Golden Core Stage Carson Flores, how powerful could his magical beast be?

Carson Flores smiled faintly, ”Please do!”

As Carson spoke, the colossal Dragon, taller than an elephant, leaped out from the gaping mouth of the bag.

Chen Yi’s Flying Sword struck precisely on Dragon’s body, only producing a ’ding’ sound; to his surprise, it left the creature completely unscathed.

Dragon turned its eyes, fixing a ferocious gaze on Chen Yi.

Chen Yi’s expression changed drastically, ”Snow Dragon Leopard King!”

How could a Golden Core Stage Carson Flores possess a Nascent Soul Stage Snow Dragon Leopard King?

Chen Yi, locked under Dragon’s intimidating stare, felt an inexplicable trepidation and glanced back at the calm and collected Carson Flores. Grinding his teeth, he said, ”I’ll hold it off, you go ahead and capture Carson Flores.”

Carson Flores sneered, and another Beast Taming Bag floated out from beneath his clothes, its mouth opening wide.

The expressions on Chen Yi and his companions’ faces changed again—this guy had another magical beast!

As soon as the bag mouth opened, the flame-covered Logan Moss leaped out. Known for its volatile temperament, it surveyed the area and comprehended that the ones who had provoked Carson Flores were the people right in front of it. Without a word, it opened its beak, and a boundless flame sprayed forth instantly, enveloping Chen Yi and his companions within...
