The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 793: Chapter 793 This time I will not spare him_1

”Your speed of assimilating the Sword Bone is several times faster than mine...”

In the room, Delaney Hunter watched Carson Flores rise from the bath, her eyes filled with astonishment, ”In just two months, you’ve actually completed the refinement of the lower limb bones, and not only that, you’ve also advanced to the Golden Core Late Stage. It looks like before breaking through to the Nascent Soul, you’ll be able to refine the Sword Bones in your entire body.”

The lower limb bones that Carson had just refined were unconsciously releasing fierce Sword Qi. Sword Qi surged throughout his body, his aura overpowering.

Up to now, Carson had completed the refinement of both the upper and lower limb bones, totaling 126 Sword Bones.

Carson wiped the sweat from his face and chuckled, ”There are still eighty pieces to go, and these materials aren’t so easy to gather.”

Delaney laughed, ”The rate at which you earn Spirit Stones is much faster than when I started. Back then, it took me many years to gather enough resources for all 158 layers, bit by bit. Unlike you, it’s like you’ve stumbled upon a windfall, getting rich overnight.”

Carson chuckled and offered no argument.

Even with his hard work cultivating Spiritual Medicine, he only made a little over a million Spirit Stones. Yet, by killing the Skyrobber Aurora Society, he directly plundered nearly twenty million, and then there was Fabian Vasquez’s scheme to trap him, which backfired, netting him almost thirty million. Indeed, he became wealthy overnight.

After taking a bath and changing his clothes, Carson’s Sword Qi gradually receded, returning to each Sword Bone.

After the Sword Bones were refined, their advantage lay not only in their newfound hardness but also in the fact that each Sword Bone could be controlled at will. Moreover, since they were part of the body originally, controlling them was easier, faster, and more furious than a Magic Artifact.

Each Sword Bone was like a sword.

Upon achieving Sword Bone Great Achievement, Carson would have 206 Magical Swords at his command. With such power, who could get close to him?

”Rest for a few days, and then we set out to participate in the Misrds State Grand Competition,” Delaney said.

Carson smiled, ”With my current strength, I’m afraid I’ll just be watching the excitement.”

Delaney laughed carelessly, ”No problem, we’ll watch together. After all, our target is Harmony Hollow; the other matters are just on the way.”

Carson uttered surprised, ”The place for the Grand Competition is en route to Harmony Hollow?”

”Very close, half a day’s journey.”

Carson’s brow furrowed slightly.

So close, was it a coincidence, or was there a deliberate arrangement?

”Alright, I’ll get ready,” he said.

Carson flew on his sword to the Thousand Swords Sect and arrived at Killian Jaramillo’s dwelling.

Killian greeted him with a smile, still radiating an ethereal immortal presence as if she were a fairy right out of a painting.

After seeing her, a smile spread across Carson’s face, ”Congratulations, you’ve advanced, haven’t you?”

Killian laughed lightly, ”How did you know?”

Carson chuckled, ”You’re radiating an even stronger immortal aura than before. I suppose that has something to do with the cultivation technique you practice.”

”Yes, I practice an ancient cultivation technique called the Jade Maiden’s Scripture. The deeper my realm, the more immortal-like my appearance becomes; it’s as if I’m shedding the mortal world. It’s said to be an ancient immortal technique, though it’s just a legend. After all, there have been countless prodigies over tens of thousands of years in this world, plenty of legends about immortals, but very few can be verified,” Killian explained.

Killian invited Carson into her residence, set up the teapot, and prepared tea as a courtesy to her guest.

”Congratulations on officially becoming the Cave Master’s Direct Disciple,” she said.

Carson was slightly taken aback, ”Officially?”

Killian smiled, ”Don’t you know? Two months ago, the Cave Master announced to the four major Sects that she had taken you as her fourth Direct Disciple. Now, everyone in Nutwood Heavenly Cave knows, and you wouldn’t believe how many are green with envy.”

Carson chuckled, ”What about you? Are you envious?”

Killian paused, then smiled gracefully, ”Naturally, I’m envious too but more than anything, I’m happy for you.”

Carson instinctively thought of Francisco Smith, who pursued Killian, and said with a grin, ”You’re happy for me, but surely someone isn’t.”

Killian pursed her lips, ”Are you talking about Francisco Smith?”

Carson chuckled, ”Right, the last time I came to your dwelling, he actually followed me and started a brawl, but I dealt with his Sword Gourd using the Water-Fire Mirror, and he ran off with a face full of dust.”

Killian’s expression turned to one of astonishment, and she frowned slightly, ”I wasn’t aware of that incident. When we met in White Wave City last time, why didn’t I hear about it?”

Carson looked quite at ease, ”Since there’s no real relationship between you two, why would I mention his issues with me to you? I spoke of it casually today because now I am the Cave Master’s Direct Disciple, and Francisco probably doesn’t have the guts to confront me anymore. If he dares to make a move against me, I won’t spare him this time...”

Killian seemed about to speak but then sighed and cautioned, ”He has advanced to Nascent Soul too, and he will also participate in the Misrds State Sect Competition. He’s small-minded and vengeful. Since you’ve embarrassed him once, he might find an excuse to make a move against you. Be careful.”

Carson smiled faintly, ”Although I’m still at the Golden Core stage, the refinement of my Sword Bones has reached a minor stage of completion. Without even considering my status as a Direct Disciple, I’m not afraid of him. If he wants to challenge me, let him come. If he truly dares to attack me, I won’t let him off lightly this time...”
