Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 403: Chapter 377: Fate’s Twists and Turns

After enduring a tedious hour, they finally finished watching the confusing movie.

Yu Minglang held Qian’s hand as they walked out of the cinema. Although they couldn’t part ways at the ×× Fenglin Night, she still planned to spend the whole night with him.

”Are you hungry?” Yu Minglang glanced at a porridge shop by the roadside and asked Qian.

”Hmm, a bit — Xiaoqiang, I remember there’s a bun shop that stays open at night, which is really good. Take me there.”

”Sure, tell me the address.”

The bun shop Qian mentioned wasn’t too far from there, but the car couldn’t reach it. He had to go through an alley, and Qian wasn’t feeling well, so she didn’t want to get out of the car.

Yu Minglang decided to go buy the buns himself and let Qian stay in the car with the heater on.

”Stay in the car, do not get out, okay?” he reminded.

Qian nodded.

It was almost midnight by now, and there weren’t many cars on the road. Qian sat quietly in the car, waiting for Yu Minglang.

After waiting for quite a while and still no sign of Yu Minglang, Qian assumed he must still be waiting for the buns to be ready.

Yu Minglang had left his phone in the car, so she had no choice but to continue waiting.

Suddenly, her eyes focused on a particular spot.

An extremely old Xiali car was slowly approaching and stopped less than 10 meters from Qian. A woman walking alone at night, wearing a red coat and carrying a shoulder bag, was walking on the road.

A scrawny man got out from the broken Xiali car and suddenly reached out to grab the woman in red.

The woman struggled desperately, but the man was very strong. He was choking her neck, continuously dragging her, trying to pull her into the car.

At first, Qian thought they were a couple quarreling, with the woman throwing a tantrum and the man chasing after her. But then the woman started screaming for help, her cries piercing the night before abruptly stopping.

The woman’s mouth was covered by the man.

Something wasn’t right! It was a robbery!

Qian realized something was wrong immediately. She reached for her phone to call the police, but it was too late. The man had already shoved the woman into the car!

Qian knew if she called, the man might drive off in a frenzy. The roads were interconnected; who knew where he would head?

And her superhero Xiaoqiang was still out buying buns.

There was no time to think. In a flash of inspiration, Qian knew what to do!

Yu Minglang drove a Cherokee, which was a pretty sturdy car. Qian jumped into the driver’s seat, started the engine, and charged straight towards the old Xiali that had just started moving!

The man had just shoved the woman in red into the car and driven off not far, only to see a Cherokee rushing towards him. He attempted to accelerate, but Qian wasn’t playing around. She stepped on the gas and forced the old Xiali onto the greenbelt!

One hand on the steering wheel, the other calling the police, she was a seasoned female driver who wouldn’t stand for any nonsense!

The criminal driving the Xiali was nervous. His car couldn’t move, but when he looked up, he saw that over there was a female driver, and she was also wearing red.

His pathological emotions were instantly triggered; he felt excited upon seeing red.

After blocking his car, Qian confidently reversed and crashed into it again.

This time, she hit the rear of the other car. The criminal’s car was severely dented at the back. Qian reversed again, ready for another hit.

Unexpectedly, the criminal got out of the car. With him out of the car, Qian couldn’t ram it anymore because only the victim was left inside.

Once out, the criminal was like a provoked beast. He picked up a rock from the ground and charged at Qian’s car. Qian wasn’t afraid of him; she’d been through many trials. She had a car; what did this criminal have?

Scare her with a brick? No way!

Qian pressed the accelerator, skirting around the criminal. The criminal was enraged and hurled the rock at her car window, but Qian sped away, and he missed.

The criminal cursed as he returned to his car. Before he could start it, Qian had already turned back around...

Just like a cat toying with a mouse, she kept the criminal trapped in place, not letting him move. If he dared to drive off, she’d ram his car. Anyway, Xiaoqiang’s car was sturdy.

The criminal, played again and again, was finally furious. As Qian’s car circled back once more, he picked up the brick from the ground and jumped on top of his own car, seemingly trying to leap onto Qian’s car. Qian smirked. People tend to lose their intelligence when angry. Such a stupid move was bound to fail!

Just as Qian was about to showcase her superb driving skills, she suddenly noticed Yu Minglang running towards the criminal from behind.

Qian was in a playful mood, made a sudden stop, and the criminal successfully jumped onto the roof of her car, letting out a beast-like roar. At this moment, his eyes were bloodshot, clearly not the eyes of a sane person.

”Come out, you bitch, come out!” He kept pounding on the car. Qian gently tapped her fingers on the steering wheel, one, two, three!

Bam! The criminal’s vision went black. Before he could react, he felt a lightness in his body, as if he was soaring through the air!

As he fell from the car roof, the delayed pain in his stomach hit him. Yu Minglang had kicked him off!

Qian turned around and watched through the glass as her hero arrived in the nick of time, calmly witnessing Yu Minglang’s one-sided beating of the criminal.

The criminal didn’t even see Yu Minglang coming. After being kicked off the car, Yu Minglang jumped down from the roof, grabbing him by the collar and delivering a series of blows.

Though the criminal dared to attack women in red at night, his fighting skills were limited. He wasn’t even a tall man. How could he be a match for Yu Minglang? Within a few strikes, Yu Minglang had him on the ground, clutching his head, unable to fight back.

Qian got out and walked towards the Xiali. Inside, the unconscious woman in red lay on the backseat.

Qian opened the car door and patted the woman, wanting to check if she was alright, but when the woman’s face, obscured by her hair, was revealed, Qian was stunned.

Qu Xue?

This woman was Qu Xue, her father’s former mistress. Qian had seen her at the hospital not long ago, having a procedure done.

She seemed to have fainted, lying on the backseat. Qian checked her breathing with her hand; she was still breathing, so she should be fine.

By now, Yu Minglang had beaten the criminal into unconsciousness. It seemed the rage he had pent up all night because of his period had transformed into violence, vented entirely on this criminal.

Never underestimate the incredible fighting strength of a frustrated man. Yu Minglang nearly beat the criminal senseless.

The police arrived quickly, overjoyed to find this criminal. Recently, this criminal had been targeting women in red, dragging them into his car and assaulting them before dumping them in the wild, so many girls didn’t dare wear red clothes anymore.

Qian finally understood why people kept staring at her during meals. They probably had heard the rumors.

After finishing their statement at the police station, Qian walked out holding Yu Minglang’s arm, filled with endless emotions.
