Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 135: Chapter 135: Peering into the Heart

Yu Minglang is in the inner room, Qian is in the living room, they both answer the questions at the same time.

Back at his old workplace, he was part of the psychological intervention team, and Yu Minglang had done similar tests before, but the one Qian gave him was different from what he did before.

As he quickly answered the questions, he marveled at Qian’s mind, how she could remember so much—no wonder she was the girl he was interested in.

”What kind of questions are these? All messed up. If you encounter a cockroach, what would you do? a) Dismember it with scissors, b) Smash it with a shoe until it’s blood and flesh, c) Burn it with a lighter, d) Flush it down the toilet. Must choose c...”

Besides these multiple choice questions, there are open-ended questions, such as an engineer who had worked in the Antarctic Station ate the meat his wife served him at home, found the taste strange, and asked his wife what kind of meat it was. She replied that it was penguin meat. The engineer was silent for a while, then stabbed his throat with a fork. Why?

Some questions are directly drawings by Qian, asking what they resemble, which Yu Minglang wrote down in detail.

At this point, Yu Minglang was still unaware that he had been slyly trapped by Qian...

After more than ten minutes, they both finished writing, and Yu Minglang came out to hand over his answers to Qian. Qian gave her answers to Yu Minglang, and they looked at each other’s answers.

For the most part, their answers differed.

”Do these questions have any deeper meaning?” Yu Minglang was amazed at the end, especially the one about the penguin.

”Some of these questions are my original creations, some are foreign TAT questions that I integrated, all judging your personality from different angles. Take the cockroach question, you chose c, which indicates that outwardly you seem normal, but inwardly hide a small perverse factor, combined with the answers about relationships—”

Qian’s gaze paused on a particular question, and her face suddenly turned a bit red.

Yu Minglang looked at her puzzled, ”What’s wrong?”

”You might have...”

Qian stopped talking, saying anymore would give away too much.

Actually, what she gave to Zheng Xu was only half of this set of questions, with the last 20 questions added by herself, trying to understand him fully, but of course, she couldn’t tell him that, or he would find out.

”What do I have?”

”Nothing, it’s good. Overall, you are considered a relatively sunny person with a low probability of developing psychological issues.”

It’s just about certain things, there’s a faint indication of a violent tendency, no wonder in a previous life he liked to... This is definitely the instinct of a beast!

After a tumble with him, you’d end up with bruises all over and he seemed especially fond of biting people... ahem, he likely enjoys venting work stress in that particular way, but thankfully, it doesn’t reach the extent of extreme behaviors.

Overall, this is a beast in bed, a fake gentleman off it, a relatively good choice for a romance for women, and very responsible. Just as Qian had guessed earlier, he is extremely germophobic concerning relationships, surely related to some childhood experiences.

Qian thus analyzed him stealthily and somewhat mischievously using technical means.

Unknowingly, Yu Minglang exposed his inner self to Qian, but Qian’s alternating look between the answers and him, with a teasing gaze, made Yu Minglang a little uneasy, feeling that the questions seemed to reveal something...

”Are there any problems with the answers?” Yu Minglang felt that the way Qian looked at him was like a full-body exam during his enlistment, if there were female doctors, it would be utterly embarrassing.

Actually, he understood it now; Qian’s set of questions was full of traps, practically prying open his inner self to thoroughly examine, a privilege that comes with being a psychologist.

”No problem. Let’s put it this way, everyone has different answers. You see you and I have two different sets of answers, but Zheng Xu and I have about 90% of the answers the same.”

”Why is that?” Yu Minglang felt a bit annoyed. How come his girlfriend’s answers differed from his, yet Zheng Xu resembled Qian?

”The probability of human multiple births is only one in 100,000 to 200,000, but even twins have different thought processes. The cognitive differences between genders are even bigger, related to our brain structure. The concept of psychological twins is my own, though there is no data showing how many psychological twins exist among humans, the probability is certainly lower than physical twins, especially cross-gender psychological twins, almost impossible. But Zheng Xu and I are those.”

”What’s good about that? It’s like the left hand touching the right hand, you know what they think, utterly boring.” Yu Minglang became jealous, resentful, and started denying it.

He would never admit that he’s jealous now.

”So I can never have feelings beyond friendship with him. At least from my perspective, I would never be with my psychological twin.”

They are too alike, living together loses its fun.

Even though she and Yu Minglang occasionally argue, arguments are a necessary phase in love. Once their thoughts coincide too much, the freshness disappears, and life loses its meaning. Couples that constantly bicker are the ones likely to hold hands for a lifetime; couples with no arguments would suddenly divorce.

”You may have no interest in him, but he might not be the same with you. Don’t forget, there’s still that 10% that’s different.” Yu Minglang spoke from a man’s perspective.

He saw Zheng Xu looking at Qian with the gaze of a man looking at a woman, whereas Qian was not interested in Zheng Xu.

”He now is like looking in a mirror, just that he hasn’t realized it yet.”

Qian believed Zheng Xu must be a very narcissistic person; his current attraction to her is merely infatuation. When the right person for him appears, Zheng Xu will realize that this infatuation is not love.

”Then Mr. Chen, analyze what kind of woman this smug fool Zheng Xu would be interested in, so I can find a few preemptively.” That black cucumber frequently obsesses over his girl.

”First of all, should be a woman.” Zheng Xu’s sexual orientation should be normal.

”...” No duh!

”High IQ, high appearance, inevitably elite in some specific field, he disdains to be with someone inferior to him, or someone with too low appearance, and should be perceptive and clear in dealing with matters. Additionally, he might particularly like assertive women—Yu Minglang, if you were a woman, he’d love you to death.”

Except for the first point, Qian compared to her own criteria when talking.

Yu Minglang felt nauseated by her.

”Even if I were reincarnated as a woman, I’d never choose a man that many have used; pfft! Why would I want to be a woman!”

He was taken off course by this girl.

”So, you should be relieved knowing I’m not the woman suitable for Zheng Xu.”

”No, I’m even more unsettled.”

Based on Qian’s points, Yu Minglang felt that Zheng Xu might be Lonely for a lifetime. Where could one find such a woman?
