The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 449: Chapter 449: The Treasure Protected by Grandpa and Grandma Chapter 449: Chapter 449: The Treasure Protected by Grandpa and Grandma Xiao Lingzhi was truly frightened just now and felt that she and Little Taotie were doomed.

Those people earlier were fierce and terrifying, roaring about breaking Little Taotie’s legs, and Xiao Lingzhi was sure that her own legs would suffer the same fate.

Moreover, she felt that she and Little Taotie were good friends, and good friends should face difficulties together; if Little Taotie’s legs were broken, she was sure she would join her in breaking her own to show solidarity.

While pitying herself for possibly becoming crippled in the future, Xiao Lingzhi suddenly saw a figure standing in front of her and Little Taotie, like the most powerful Superman shielding them.

The moment the cane turned into a Sword, Xiao Lingzhi was stunned!

She felt as if she was seeing Death himself, wielding a scythe, so cool and awesome!

Just as the old lady was about to be punched, Superman Grandpa thrust his Sword forward with speed, ferocity, and precision! It was just like in the movies!

At that moment, Xiao Lingzhi’s eyes sparkled with admiration, and she desperately wanted to run up and hug his legs, shouting, “Superman Grandpa!” She wished he were her real grandfather! So cool!

Little Taotie and Xiao Lingzhi thought differently, though; at this moment, Little Taotie seemed to step out of the shadow of being forced to apologize in the past, her eyes ablaze with fire.

She knew that her grandfather in the mountains was protecting her, hoping that if she apologized, the matter would be resolved.

But she was distressed inside and did not want to apologize; she had even thought at the time that she would rather have her head broken than apologize!

But ultimately, she relented.

The frustration and pain had made her sick with fever for several days, and Grandpa had stayed by her bedside, taking care of her without the slightest negligence, fearing she might become foolish from the fever.

At that time, she had let go of her grievances and stubbornness and chose to forget, for dwelling on it would only make herself and her grandfather miserable.

Yet today, she saw a different way of resolving problems.

She saw a grandfather different from her mountain grandfather.

Both were protecting her, both for her own good.

But damn, she really liked this kind of grandfather!

Although she felt a bit guilty toward her mountain grandfather, she truly, truly liked the current Grandpa Fensi and Grandma Fensi!

The moment Grandpa Fensi drew his Sword, Little Taotie felt as if the shackles in her heart were instantly loosened, as if all of her past had faded away.

She was no longer the Broom Star from the mountains, chased and cursed by others.

No longer the Broom Star who, when bullied, could only endure and sneak away, taking detours when seeing people.

No longer the Broom Star who, despite being clearly innocent, still had to cry out apologies.

Now, she was the Little Taotie who, under her elder brother’s guidance, had learned that if bullied, you must definitely fight back!

Even if she ended up hurting someone, there were people protecting her, standing in front of her, wielding a Sword, and furiously shouting, “Who dares harm my granddaughter, take this old man’s Sword!”

Someone stood in front of her, using the simplest words, yet more daunting than any sword, and scared off a group of fierce and terrifying villagers.

Grandpa Fensi’s sword-thrust protecting her, Grandma Fensi’s sword-like words, made her realize that she now had people protecting her, loving her, and she didn’t need to bow down and apologize for injustices.

With sparkling eyes, under Tao Mo’s surprised gaze, Little Taotie suddenly rushed forward and buried herself in Tao Mo’s arms.

Tao Mo instinctively hugged the little cannonball, smiling, “Dear granddaughter, don’t be afraid, with Grandpa here, nobody can bully you!” He gently patted Little Taotie’s back.

Just like her mountain grandfather used to gently pat her back, but back then, Grandpa was comforting her, telling her to endure, to forget everything.

Little Taotie lifted her head, her baby voice trembling slightly, “I hurt him, should I apologize?”

“Why did you hurt him?”

“He threw something at me first.”

“Then there’s no need to apologize. You are even now unless he apologizes to you first. Then, as a polite child, Little Taotie can give a perfunctory apology.”

Little Taotie chuckled lightly, “A perfunctory apology, is that insincere?”
