The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 430: Chapter 430: Aiming to Eliminate the Distance Chapter 430: Chapter 430: Aiming to Eliminate the Distance When the Pastoral Life production team had little hope, the director’s phone rang.

After the call, the director cheered, “Chairman Cheng agreed!”

Cameraman: “Let’s drink to celebrate! The director is treating!”

“I’m not stingy, of course I’ll treat everyone, but the timing isn’t right, we should immediately arrange the program and race against the clock! Once Little Taotie starts school, we’ll have plenty of time to rest!”

Everyone agreed and recorded the director’s words.

The cameraman raised the recording pen: “This is the evidence, don’t try to deny it later, see if we don’t eat you out of house and home!”

The director chuckled: “With your little appetites, could you really eat me out of house and home?”

The planning director smiled: “I’ll bring Little Taotie along for the meal.”

The director wiped away sweat: “Brother, spare me.”

…

After hanging up with the Pastoral Life director, Cheng Guodong summoned his capable lieutenants for a meeting.

Cheng Guodong: “The time to film a short video every month as agreed with D Sound is almost here, has the planning department decided on the content?”

After the company expanded, there were many more artists and professional talent on board.

The planning department director was a career woman in her early thirties, with gold-rimmed glasses and tidy, ear-length hair.

“Here are the top ten planning proposals we’ve selected, please take a look, Chairman Cheng.”

“Next time, narrow it down to three.”

“Understood.”

Cheng Guodong flipped through the proposals quickly, closing any that didn’t interest him without reading to the end.

The conference room was very quiet, nobody interrupted him.

Cheng Guodong closed the last proposal, his expression was less than pleased, clearly dissatisfied.

The planning department director immediately understood and suggested: “I’ll have them work overnight to prepare a proposal that will satisfy you.”

Cheng Guodong waved his hand: “No need to work overtime.”

“Actually, these ten proposals are all usable, but they’re too conventional, lacking novelty.”

Cheng Guodong took a sip of coffee and suddenly remembered the scene of Little Taotie bawling and declaring a lifelong aversion to coffee; Cheng Guodong’s lips curled up slightly.

“Sister has always projected an image to the public as a well-behaved and sensible girl, and while this can attract a large fan base and lots of people will like her, this also comes with a downside.”

“Once she makes a mistake, she won’t be given much leniency and could easily lose fans.”

“Sister is well-behaved, but she can have her bear moments, after all, she’s just a six-year-old child.”

“The company has crafted her image too perfectly, the kung fu Little Taotie, the little genius designer…”

Cheng Guodong shook his head: “For the short videos on D Sound, I don’t want her to appear too perfect.”

The planning department director also followed Little Taotie’s progress, regarding her purely as a child star the company planned to promote, so the ten proposals were mainly about showing off Little Taotie’s strengths.

But now, listening to the deeper meaning in Chairman Cheng’s words, was he thinking of showcasing Little Taotie’s bratty side?

And it couldn’t be in a way that would make her unlikeable but rather a charming kind of misbehavior.

The plan was to shape Little Taotie’s image to be more vibrant, more real, to draw the audience closer, to love her from their hearts for her many virtues and few minor flaws, and to develop her in the direction of a national treasure.

“Chairman Cheng, are you saying you want the short videos to be more lifelike?”

“Not exactly.”

Cheng Guodong pondered for a moment, then said: “To eliminate the sense of distance is the objective.”

…

At night, the lights were still on in the office.

The planning department director didn’t ask her subordinates to work overtime but stayed to work overtime alone.

She watched all the programs featuring Little Taotie.

Perhaps due to the explosion of popularity with video number 3, Little Taotie suddenly appeared before the public as the Mermaid Little Hero, somewhat cultivating a sense of distance.

Unless she keeps soaring without ever falling, if she ever does fall, it could easily lead to a setback.

In fact, along Little Taotie’s journey, there had been many critics and fans defending her, but the truly loyal fans were too few.

To date, there were indeed 30 million real and active fans on D Sound, but the hardcore fans might not even number a million.

With that in mind, releasing short videos on D Sound was crucial!

Well-made short videos could turn those 30 million fans gradually into loyal followers.

Just as Chairman Cheng said, the main purpose of the videos should be– to eliminate the sense of distance!
