The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 405: Chapter 405 Scared Just Right Chapter 405: Chapter 405 Scared Just Right Little Taotie was embarrassed to say that the flowers on Hua Jinyan’s head used to be rich and colorful, seemingly encompassing every kind of flower.

His head was like a mountain, covered in blossoming flowers, each blooming fiercely.

Later, when he heard that he liked roses, thereafter, only roses would bloom on his head.

Little Taotie looked at the rose bracelet on her wrist and whispered softly, “It’s almost like the flowers on the bracelet, lots of them, and very bright in color.”

Hua Jinyan’s lips curved up into a smile, “I’m glad.”

Little Taotie looked at him with confusion, not understanding what he was happy about.

“I’m glad that the flowers blooming on my head are the ones you like.”

“It wasn’t like that before…”

“Are you saying that the flowers that used to bloom on my head weren’t roses?”

Little Taotie nodded.

Hua Jinyan smiled with a sunny disposition, “That means they bloomed just for you. Do you like them?”

Seeing him smile, Little Taotie was influenced and her lips lightly turned up, revealing shallow dimples, “I like.”

Upon seeing her finally smile, Hua Jinyan heaved a sigh of relief, then got back to the matter at hand and discussed the previous topic, “For ordinary people, it’s unthinkable that we can see ghosts. Atheists will dismiss our words as nonsense, consider us liars, or even think we are mentally ill.”

Little Taotie puffed up with anger, “We are not mentally ill!”

Hua Jinyan chuckled softly, “Those who don’t believe, unless they see with their own eyes, simply won’t believe. Even then, maybe after seeing with their own eyes, they still won’t believe, they might think what they saw is some kind of high-tech lighting and special effects. Unbelievers will use countless reasons to deny us.”

“But… I didn’t lie.” Little Taotie felt wronged, remembering the fierce look in the police officer’s eyes, the image of withering flowers on her head, which made her heart ache.

“It’s enough that you know you didn’t lie.”

Hua Jinyan sighed, “Honestly, I’ve always wanted to remind you, you care too much about other people’s opinions.”

Little Taotie drooped her head, whispering softly, “I hope… not to be disliked.”

She wanted everyone to like her, even if just a little bit.

At first, it was to prove she wasn’t an unlikeable child.

Later, it was because she wanted the Little Beast Bai Bai’s Primordial Spirit to be healed, hoping that the Little Beast Bai Bai would awaken.

“Do you have the police officer’s contact information?” Hua Jinyan asked.

Little Taotie was taken aback, shaking her head.

“Do you still remember what he looks like?”

Little Taotie nodded, “I remember.”

“Let’s go, I’ll take you to him!” Hua Jinyan walked over, took Little Taotie’s hand, and wanted to take her away.

“Don’t go…”

Little Taotie didn’t want to meet the police officer, nor did she want to see the withered flowers.

“I’ll call Teacher Ma and ask for some eye drops that will allow the police to temporarily see the ghosts, so he can see for himself and know that he misunderstood you.”

“He’ll get scared.”

Hua Jinyan’s eyes lowered, a mischievous glint flashing through them as he thought: Wouldn’t it be just perfect if he gets scared?

As he lifted his gaze, his eyes were gentle, his voice soft, “Not at all, he is a police officer, he’s seen all sorts of big scenes, how could he be scared by something so trivial? If you’re not scared, why would he be?”

“Really?”

“Of course!”

“But…”

“No buts, if there’s a misunderstanding, it should be cleared up. You don’t want to be misunderstood forever, right?”

Little Taotie nodded her head, very much wanting to clear up the misunderstanding, hoping that the morning glory flowers would bloom once again.
