The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 436: Chapter 436: Feeding Little Taotie Strawberries Chapter 436: Chapter 436: Feeding Little Taotie Strawberries The next day, the production team arranged for everyone to go mountain climbing. Little Taotie looked at the high mountain and upon seeing the steps, her legs began to tremble.

Xiao Lingzhi stood beside her, noticed her shaking legs, steadied her, and asked with concern, “What’s wrong? Do you need to pee urgently?”

Little Taotie: “…I don’t need to pee urgently.”

Gu Yixing also noticed Little Taotie’s unusual behavior and picked her up. “Did you catch a cold from sleeping on the grass last night?”

“I… don’t want to climb the mountain.” Little Taotie sounded weak and listless.

The director canceled the mountain-climbing schedule and asked anxiously, “Should we go to the hospital for a check-up?”

Little Taotie sat on a small stool, holding a thermos cup filled with goji berry tea, and lifted her steamed little face, shaking her little head, “I’m fine now.”

There was a strawberry greenhouse nearby, which was originally arranged for strawberry picking the next day, so the director moved the schedule forward.

“That’s great! I love picking strawberries the most!” Xiao Lingzhi said enthusiastically, rolling up her sleeves. “I’m going to pick a full big basket of strawberries!”

“Is picking strawberries fun?” Little Taotie’s big eyes were full of curiosity.

“It’s so much fun, you can eat strawberries while you pick them!”

Little Taotie’s eyes sparkled as she rubbed her hands together, “I want to pick lots and lots of strawberries too!”

Along the way, the scenery was beautiful with lush trees and clear water, and the golden rapeseed swayed in the wind.

An elderly old farmer wearing a huge sun hat led the production team into a greenhouse.

Upon entering the greenhouse, a wave of heat hit them.

At a glance, it looked as if precious red rubies were inlaid on a green silk fabric, red and green complementing each other.

The big red strawberries with their enticing fragrance. Xiao Lingzhi quickly bent down, pushed aside the leaves, and searched carefully.

She spotted a super-duper gigantic strawberry, a real treasure!

“Little Taotie, this is for you to eat! It’s the biggest one!”

Little Taotie opened her mouth wide, just about to bite into it, when Gu Yixing whisked her away.

Little Taotie “aww” bit the air, her eyes round with confusion as she found herself lifted up. Facing Gu Yixing’s handsome face at close range, Little Taotie puzzled, “Brother Xingxing, where’s the big strawberry?”

“It hasn’t been washed, you can’t eat it.”

“Xiao Lingzhi said it’s okay, that I could eat it.”

“You can’t eat it, there might be worm eggs inside.”

Little Taotie’s little face scrunched up, “Really?”

“Little bugs lay their eggs on strawberries. They’re invisible to the naked eye, really tiny, and if you don’t wash them before eating, the little bugs will end up in your stomach. They’ll make themselves at home there, getting fatter and longer…”

Little Taotie imagined having a long and fat worm residing in her belly and immediately felt terrible, shaking her head frantically, “I don’t want to eat it anymore!”

Xiao Lingzhi, puzzled, asked, “Why did you leave?”

Little Taotie looked at the half strawberry in her hand, then at her mouth.

Xiao Lingzhi’s mouth was busy chewing, with strawberry juice at the corners of her lips.

Little Taotie said in a childlike tone, “That’s it. Xiao Lingzhi will have little bugs growing in her stomach!”

Xiao Lingzhi stuffed the remaining half of the strawberry into her mouth, “What little bugs?”

“The strawberry wasn’t washed,” Little Taotie pointed at her mouth, “you ate it!”

“It’s fine, non-toxic and harmless. Wasn’t it said there were no pesticides?”

“No pesticides mean there will be little bugs.” Little Taotie knew from farming that without pesticides, the leaves of vegetables would be riddled with holes made by bugs.

“It’s fine, I checked, there were no little bugs.”

“Brother Xingxing said they’re invisible to the naked eye.”

Xiao Lingzhi looked up at Gu Yixing.

Gu Yixing nodded.

Xiao Lingzhi screamed and ran away.

Little Taotie followed and saw Xiao Lingzhi trying to induce vomiting.

“Ugh!”

Her actions were as fierce as a tiger’s.

True enough, she vomited everything out.

Little Taotie: “…”

The procedure of eating while picking was something neither child dared proceed with, both were scared off by Gu Yixing.

The two kids crouched on the ground, turning over leaves, searching for the biggest and reddest strawberries.

Their little plastic baskets were already full; each held two in their hands, returning fully loaded.

Back at their lodging, Cheng Lu was in charge of washing the strawberries. She added baking soda, starch, and other ingredients to the water and soaked them for a very long time before cleaning them thoroughly, finally allowing the kids to eat them confidently.

Little Taotie and Xiao Lingzhi sat shoulder to shoulder, with Xiao Lingzhi holding up the biggest berry to feed to Little Taotie who “aww” took a bite.

Xiao Lingzhi, having had her fill, found that feeding Little Taotie was more interesting than feeding pigs because Little Taotie seemed like she could never get full!

Of course, she dared not say it out loud. If Little Taotie found out she was being fed like a pig, she would definitely refuse to eat from her hand!

Little Taotie didn’t feel like eating anymore, but Xiao Lingzhi seemed addicted to feeding her, coaxing, “Have one more, come on, ah, open wide~”

Little Taotie: “…” Something felt odd!

“Come on, have another one! Ah~ open wide~”

Little Taotie: “Ah!”

Only when all the strawberries were in her belly did Little Taotie realize what was happening, frowning slightly, “You sound just like when you feed cabbage to the pigs!”

Xiao Lingzhi giggled, “No way!”
