The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 425: Chapter 425: Meow! Big Brother, Don’t Be Angry! Chapter 425: Chapter 425: Meow! Big Brother, Don’t Be Angry! By the time Cheng Guodong found out about this, Mo Haihao had already gone through the reports and issued certifications for the two little teammates.

Mo Haihao smiled and handed the two IDs to the children, patting each on the head, “From now on, I’m your captain!”

Little Taotie obediently let him pat his head, clutching his little booklet with glee.

Hua Jinyan turned his face away, unwilling to be touched.

Cheng Guodong frowned and said angrily, “I am the children’s guardian! You didn’t even consult with their guardian!”

Mo Haihao gave an apologetic gesture, his smile resembling that of a cat who had stolen a fish, crafty to the extreme.

“Sorry, there’s no helping it, the nation needs them.”

“Don’t talk to me about there being no helping it! I do not approve of this act-first-ask-later approach, and I disagree with having such young children work for the nation! And, can you guarantee their safety?”

“Yes!”

“Hah, I don’t believe that!”

Mo Haihao spread his hands: “What’s done is done; your disapproval is useless.”

“I am the children’s guardian, and I disapprove!” Cheng Guodong could no longer suppress his temper and roared furiously: “Who approved having six-year-old children involved in case work? I refuse to believe that no one will be held accountable!”

Mo Haihao certainly knew that Cheng Guodong was no simple man, with connections in the military and political arenas.

However, well~

Heh, both those factions are scared of the big shots in their Special Department!

After all, whose family doesn’t have ancestors?

When ancestor Ghosts appear, will you be afraid and obedient?

Mo Haihao spread his hands: “Then go find someone to take him on, but I’m afraid… no one will dare to.”

Cheng Guodong scowled and made a shooing gesture, “Please leave.”

Mo Haihao blew a kiss towards Little Taotie, “My lovely little teammate, see you Sunday!”

Cheng Guodong slammed the door shut, not wanting to see that annoying character for another second.

Cheng Guodong sat on the sofa sulking, and Little Taotie caught the mood.

Little Taotie looked at Cheng Guodong, then at Hua Jinyan, and whispered in Hua Jinyan’s ear, “Big brother is angry, what should we do?”

Hua Jinyan furrowed his brows: “Pacify him.”

“How do I pacify him?” Little Taotie hung his head, looking as wilted as an eggplant.

Hua Jinyan wasn’t good at placating adults either, he pondered with knitted brows: “Act like Little Lion.”

Little Taotie looked at “Little Lion,” who was rolling on the floor, and hesitated, “Should I roll on the ground too?”

“Mimic Little Lion’s usual act of being cute and cuddly, the rub-rub routine. If… that doesn’t work, then roll on the ground until he stops being angry and agrees to let you go to the Special Department.”

“Does that really work?” Little Taotie was skeptical.

Hua Jinyan wasn’t too certain either, and his tone lacked confidence: “Just try it first, and if it doesn’t work, we’ll think of something else.”

Little Taotie nodded her small head and stealthily glanced at Cheng Guodong.

Cheng Guodong’s face was as black as the bottom of a pot, like a gunpowder barrel ready to explode at any moment.

Little Taotie felt apprehensive, but still mustered the courage, taking small steps toward him, until she finally reached the edge of the sofa.

Her little hand gripped the edge of the sofa, and cautiously approached Cheng Guodong, softly calling out, “Big brother~”

Cheng Guodong glanced at her and turned away, refusing to look at her.

Little Taotie quickly changed positions, moving in front of him and cooing, “Big brother~”

Cheng Guodong: “…”

This time he didn’t look away but still didn’t look at her.

Little Taotie looked at big brother, then back at the rolling Kitty on the floor, and with bolstered courage, she pressed her little face against big brother’s hand, softly saying, “Meow~”

Cheng Guodong: “…” He broke down! Who could resist that!

Cheng Guodong pressed his lips tightly, lines straight, but his fingers involuntarily twitched a little, and then… his hand seemed to have a mind of its own!

The large hand gently ruffled Little Taotie’s head, messing up the soft hair of the little girl.

Little Taotie blinked, blinked again, her big eyes gleaming. She nudged her small head and rubbed it against Cheng Guodong’s palm, softly crying, “Big brother~”

Cheng Guodong sighed; his sister was too soft, too cute, and incredibly good at acting affectionate, who could resist that?

He only had one choice… to forgive her!

He had intended to keep a straight face for a bit longer, to teach the little girl that she shouldn’t make decisions on her own and should consult adults, but in the end, he couldn’t help but soften!

“Do you know what you did wrong?” Cheng Guodong tried hard to maintain a stern look, but his eyes were already gentle and doting, without a shred of intimidation.

Little Taotie nodded vigorously, “I know!”

“Wrong where?”

“Hmm…” Little Taotie pointed her fingers, “Wrong where…”

She racked her brain but couldn’t figure it out.

Joining the Special Department was to accumulate Merit, in the hopes of waking up Little Beast Bai Bai sooner. Where was the mistake in that?

She tilted her head, gazing at Cheng Guodong with blank and innocent big eyes.
