The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 394: Chapter 394: Cultural Differences Chapter 394: Chapter 394: Cultural Differences “A misunderstanding?”

“Yes, do you know about gua sha?”

Gu Yixing had a sudden realization, “Is it because the child was sick, and the elder gave him gua sha, leaving red marks on his body, and people from your country thought those marks were inflicted by the elder hitting the child?”

Teacher Beibei nodded, “Cultural differences have led to many misunderstandings. The child had a fever that wouldn’t go away, and the elder, who was the child’s grandfather and a Hua Country person, tried to help the child sweat it out with gua sha. The red marks looked too much like whip lashes, causing the child’s mother, who is from my country, to misunderstand and think the elder had hit the child.”

Gu Yixing sighed, “Was the misunderstanding eventually cleared up?”

Teacher Beibei’s eyes darkened, “It took some effort, and the elder… his health wasn’t very good.”

“What happened!”

“The elder couldn’t cope with being falsely accused. Isolated and unable to understand our language, he fell ill in detention. Although he was released later, they say he developed a chronic illness and didn’t live much longer after that.”

Gu Yixing clenched his fist and punched a tree.

Little Taotie jumped down from the tree, indignantly, “The cabin shook!”

Gu Yixing quickly apologized, “Sorry, I lost my temper for a moment.”

Teacher Beibei comforted, “It’s all in the past now. Let’s talk about something else, this is too heavy.”

Gu Yixing nodded, not wanting to continue this heavy topic either.

“Little Taotie, what do you want to eat tomorrow?” Teacher Beibei asked.

Little Taotie pointed at the sea, “I want to catch lots and lots of big lobsters, to take back to my brothers!”

Teacher Beibei laughed, “Haven’t you already caught three and kept them?”

Little Taotie looked at the wooden bucket made of stakes, inside which three big lobsters, each over fifteen centimeters long, were being kept.

“I have so many brothers!” Little Taotie counted on his fingers, “Big Brother, Second Brother, Brother Shen, Brother Xiao Bin, Bald Senior Brother, Comb Senior Brother…”

“Lost count?” Teacher Beibei laughed, “It seems many people love Little Taotie!”

“Yeah, they all spoil me! I’m the happiest kid!”

“Then, tomorrow we’ll catch some more big lobsters, so that each of your brothers can receive your gift!”

“Okay!” Little Taotie made an encouraging gesture, displaying a radiant smile, his eyes curving, dimples deepening.

“Do I get a share?” Gu Yixing joked.

Little Taotie nodded, “Yes! Brother Xingxing is a good brother too!”

“What a sweet talker you are!”

Gu Yixing shook his head, “I don’t need any, I’ve had my fill of seafood on the island, and I don’t really want to eat any for a while.”

Teacher Beibei asked, “The program is about to wrap up its filming, could you act as my guide and show me around?”

Gu Yixing wondered, “You’ve been to Hua Country before, why do you still need a guide?”

Teacher Beibei nodded, “I’m usually too busy to stop and look around, but now I have some free time.”

“Free time?”

“Yes, I’m quite free lately.”

“Aren’t you planning to film another documentary?”

“I am, but during this period, I don’t plan to take on any work; I just want to take a holiday.”

“Alright, I’ll show you around when the time comes.”

Little Taotie raised his small hand, “I want to be a guide too! I want to play!”

Teacher Beibei smiled and patted his head, “Alright, then Little Taotie can take on this heavy responsibility!”

…

The director said, “I feel like my show has lost its appeal. They’re too carefree and happy, even daring to discuss their post-filming vacation plans on the show! It’s quite upsetting to me!”

The photographer suggested, “How about we arrange some difficult tasks for them?”

The director raised a thumb, smirking, “I think your idea is excellent.”
