The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 393: Chapter 393: It Turned into a Parenting Show Chapter 393: Chapter 393: It Turned into a Parenting Show Little Taotie was still confused and uncertain.

King of Film Xu touched her head gently and said, “You are still young, and there are many things you only hear adults talk about but can’t understand the reason behind. As the years go by, and you slowly grow older, you will encounter more people and experiences. Through your own experiences and feelings, you will be able to comprehend many principles.”

Looking at the assistant director responsible for setting up the shots, he said, “I almost thought I was making a program for the educational channel!”

The cameraman said, “Teacher Beibei and King of Film Xu both seem to have a whole lot of profound wisdom to impart to Little Taotie and the audience in front of the TV!”

The assistant director rolled his eyes, “What era are we in, who wants to watch people preach? What I’m doing is clearly a ‘Pastoral Life’ program, with survival on a deserted island content! And inexplicably, it’s turned into a parenting program!”

The cameraman said, “Actually this is good, the content is quite relaxed, which fits the program’s purpose.”

The assistant director lamented without love, “I’m already starting to worry about what theme to choose for the next issue!”

The cameraman suggested, “Travel?”

The corner of the assistant director’s mouth twitched, “We are a ‘Pastoral Life’ program.”

The cameraman just shrugged, “Didn’t you arrange survival on a deserted island too?”

The assistant director huffed, “Recently, survival on deserted islands is popular, I’m just borrowing the spotlight! Besides, survival on a deserted island can also be very idyllic, just look, they’ve turned survival on the island into island living, haven’t they?”

The cameraman was speechless, unable to refute.

A program about surviving on a deserted island, strangely enough, turned into scuba diving, catching fish and shrimp, and outdoor barbecues…

With the help of Gu Yixing, King of Film Xu picked a basketful of mushrooms, grilled them over a fire, and took the skewers back with him.

Cheng Lu smelled the fragrance, and it was as if she was resurrected. She jumped up from the ground, her eyes fixed hungrily on the skewers in King of Film Xu’s hand.

King of Film Xu handed them over, and Cheng Lu bit directly into them.

It wasn’t until after Cheng Lu had finished all the skewers that she realized, “Oh no! I’ve eaten them all!”

King of Film Xu said, “They were all meant for you, to begin with.”

“I should have left some for you!”

“No need, I don’t eat them.”

Cheng Lu furrowed her brows, her eyes filled with concern, but in the end, she just pursed her lips and said nothing.

Since they were recording the program, she couldn’t bring up his eating disorder too much.

…

Little Taotie climbed up the tree and returned to her little cabin, sitting by the door, swinging her little feet back and forth.

Gu Yixing, afraid she would fall, guarded her from below.

Teacher Beibei shook her head, “Even if she falls, it’ll be fine, the ground is covered with soft leaves, and I’ve also loosened the soil below.”

“She’s still young. What if she falls awkwardly?”

Gu Yixing strongly disagreed with Teacher Beibei’s laissez-faire child-rearing approach.

Teacher Beibei just shrugged, “I really can’t understand Hua Country people.”

Gu Yixing frowned and asked, “What’s there to not understand?”

“In my country, hitting a child is considered abuse, but it’s not so in your country, where there seems to be the saying that ‘a filial son comes from the rod’, which is utterly bewildering to me.”

“I used to think you didn’t take children seriously, but after coming here, I’ve realized that you treasure children more than people in any other country. You fear they’ll fall when they walk, choke when they eat, catch a chill in winter, or overheat in summer. The adults wish they could always be around the children, fearing that if they leave their sight, something bad will happen.”

Gu Yixing cleared his throat and said, “Every family is different, and the way they educate their children is different too, just like how different countries have different laws.”

Teacher Beibei said, “Once, my country arrested an old man from Hua Country because he beat a child, who had bruises that wouldn’t fade for a long time. But in the end, it turned out to be a big misunderstanding.”
