The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 383: Chapter 383: The Delicacy Worth Fasting For Chapter 383: Chapter 383: The Delicacy Worth Fasting For King of Film Xu had already been suffering from anorexia, and for three days he had tasted nothing but water, feeling he could absolutely persevere!

King of Film Xu weakly voiced out, “I don’t need to eat anything, I just want to set up a tent and peacefully spend three days on the island.”

Cheng Lu looked at him in astonishment.

King of Film Xu had always been reluctant to admit he had anorexia. What was this stance now? It seemed he would rather admit he had anorexia than go searching for food with Teacher Beibei.

Meeting Cheng Lu’s questioning gaze, King of Film Xu cleared his throat, “Aren’t you on a diet recently? Fasting can be good for you, why not try just drinking water for three days?”

Cheng Lu: “…” Are you sure I won’t die?

King of Film Xu seemed to understand Cheng Lu very well, just by one glance he knew what she was thinking, and he replied, “You won’t die, trust me.”

Inner monologue of King of Film Xu: Maybe you’d prefer death to suffering.

Obviously, Cheng Lu couldn’t understand his gaze and shook her head, “I can’t last, I’m actually already hungry now.”

King of Film Xu suddenly looked at her with sympathy, leaving Cheng Lu utterly confused.

Teacher Beibei excitedly said, “You’re hungry? Let me find you something tasty!”

Cheng Lu glanced at the surrounding wild grass, “Is there food here?”

“Yes!”

Teacher Beibei dug out a big fat worm from under a tree stump, “This is a beetle larva, its nutritional value is comparable to beef and fish!”

Cheng Lu: “…”

Teacher Beibei went on and on, “It tastes like you mixed all your friends’ boogers together and stuffed them into a sausage…”

Cheng Lu: “Ugh!”

“Do you want to taste it?”

Cheng Lu frantically shook her head, backing away, her whole body trembling.

Teacher Beibei continued nonstop, “The nutritional value of insects and their larvae is higher than conventional food. Every 100g of beef provides 200-300 calories. An equivalent amount of larvae offers about 265 calories, and the proportion of protein intake is even higher!”

Cheng Lu directly hid behind King of Film Xu, utterly unwilling to face the situation.

Teacher Beibei, continuing relentlessly while pinching the squirming worm, “Cooked worms might even taste better than beef!”

Cheng Lu couldn’t hold back, yelled, “Then cook it first before we talk, stop holding it!”

“…Alright then, since you want it cooked, once I’ve cooked it, you must eat it.”

Cheng Lu: “…”

Teacher Beibei started a fire right there, shaved some twigs into skewers, and threaded the worm onto the skewers to grill over the fire, going on and on, “Once it’s cooked, it sort of tastes like apple pie with hints of lemongrass or cinnamon.”

Cheng Lu: “Help!”

King of Film Xu sighed, “I told you, go on a diet, fast for three days.”

Cheng Lu wailed, “I’ll fast! I’ll starve!”

Teacher Beibei, like the most professional kebab chef, flipped the skewers continually, “Around two billion people worldwide eat insects. Honeybees, wasps, ants, grasshoppers, and crickets, etc., they are all delicious. Globally, 527 types of insects are considered delicacies…”

As the larva turned a caramel color and emitted an enticing aroma, Teacher Beibei beamed, “It’s ready.”

Cheng Lu: “…”

King of Film Xu stood in front of Cheng Lu, blocking her from Teacher Beibei’s view.

Teacher Beibei frowned, “We had an agreement that you’d eat it when it’s cooked, how can you break it?”

Cheng Lu: “…” Who agreed with you!

She was too timid, clenching onto the back of King of Film Xu’s shirt, too afraid even to contradict.

King of Film Xu cleared his throat, “She’s a girl, don’t make it hard on the girl.”

The skewered larva was directly presented in front of King of Film Xu; Teacher Beibei beamed, “Then you eat it!”
