The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 385: Chapter 385: The Apple Pie You Wanted Chapter 385: Chapter 385: The Apple Pie You Wanted Teacher Beibei had not expected to receive such a warm welcome from Little Cub. Delighted, she took his hand and asked, “What would you like to eat? I’ll make it for you!”

Little Taotie: “Apple pie!”

“Okay!” Teacher Beibei patted her head, “Wait for me!”

With that, she ran off.

Gu Yixing let out a sigh of relief and grabbed Little Taotie’s hand, ready to lead her away from this place, fearing that Teacher Beibei might catch another bug to roast.

Little Taotie was not pleased and vigorously shook off Gu Yixing’s hand: “I’ll wait for Teacher Beibei!”

“We’re going to pick mushrooms, there are no mushrooms here.”

“I’m waiting for Teacher Beibei! I won’t leave this place!”

“We’ll pick mushrooms first. If he doesn’t see us, he’ll come looking for us on his own.”

“No!”

“He’s gone to look for food, we should help find food too. We can’t just wait for him to bring it to us, we should also contribute!”

Hearing this, Little Taotie hesitated a bit: “Will he really come looking?”

“He’s so capable, this island is like his own backyard, finding us would be a piece of cake!”

“…Then let’s go pick mushrooms.”

Gu Yixing nodded his head, took Little Taotie’s small hand, and walked away, not willing to linger a moment longer.

The two searched around several trees and finally discovered fungi at the base of one.

“Are these edible?” Little Taotie lifted her head, looking at Gu Yixing with doubt.

The mushrooms on the ground were dark, and they didn’t look appetizing at all.

Gu Yixing smiled and said, “They are edible! These are bolete mushrooms! Very tasty!”

Gu Yixing was thankful that he had once acted in a film where he played a student from a Poor Family.

The student from Poor Family would go home to help out during the busy farming season and even go up the mountain with his cousins to look for mountain treasures.

At that time, he learned a lot about mushrooms, including these bolete mushrooms.

Gu Yixing carefully picked the bolete mushrooms, and at that moment, Teacher Beibei had already found them!

Little Taotie, with sharp eyes, spotted Teacher Beibei from afar and yelled, “Teacher Beibei!”

Gu Yixing wanted to cover Little Taotie’s mouth but it was too late; Teacher Beibei had already seen them and was running toward their direction.

The only thing that gave Gu Yixing a sigh of relief was that Teacher Beibei didn’t have any roasted skewers in her hands at that moment.

Teacher Beibei ran up to Little Taotie, crouched down in front of her, and took out a bag from her pocket, handing it to her, “Your apple pie.”

Little Taotie received it, opened the bag, and inside was a real apple pie!

Actually, Little Taotie had wanted a skewered “apple pie”!

But now, smelling the aroma of the real apple pie, she felt this one was even better!

She took a small bite, the sweet and tender flavor instantly made her blissfully squint her eyes and she asked, “Teacher Beibei, how come there’s apple pie on the island?”

“Oh, I snatched it from the screenwriter,” Teacher Beibei said nonchalantly.

The screenwriter who had been robbed was left looking forlorn.

The cameraman tried to console him, “It’s no big deal, it’s just a piece of apple pie, right?”

The screenwriter’s face was filled with bitterness, “That was my dignity!”

Teacher Beibei was well known for being strict!

In other people’s programs, he would force big stars to eat bugs, drink water with bugs in it, and get into stinky ditches full of bugs!

How come in his own program, he’s robbing his own apple pie to give Little Taotie a shortcut!

After finishing the apple pie, Little Taotie became even closer to Teacher Beibei. “Teacher Beibei, you’re so amazing!”

She said Brother Xingxing didn’t have a fishing rod, so he wasn’t able to catch any fish. Teacher Beibei then made a fishing rod on the spot.

Teacher Beibei smiled and said, “I’ll build you a small wooden house.”

Little Taotie’s eyes sparkled, “Can I help make it too?”

“Of course!”

Gu Yixing watched as Little Taotie ran off with someone, like a cheerful little sparrow.
