The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 229: Chapter 229: Tutoring is My Side Job Chapter 229: Chapter 229: Tutoring is My Side Job “How did you all get here?” Cheng Guodong was puzzled, as the Tao Family hadn’t shown up in so long, he had thought they stopped coming because his sister had turned them down.

Tao Mo sighed painfully, “I had a cold and was afraid of passing it on to Little Taotie. Just as I got better, our whole family came together.”

Cheng Guodong looked at his reddened nose, thinking: So it’s not frozen red, it’s red from the sniffles these past days.

Little Taotie quietly looked at Tao Mo’s nose, then quietly turned to the tall man.

She remembered at the airport, the blue-eyed girl who reached out for her dad to hold her, and Dad did just that.

She wondered if she reached out for a hug, would she get picked up too?

Tao Tiancheng saw his little girl sneaking peeks at him and was overjoyed. Unable to contain his excitement, he took a few steps forward, squat down, and took out a handful of candy from his pocket, “These are all newly developed candies, made just the way you like them.”

Little Taotie looked down, the candies were wrapped in transparent wrappers, each candy round and clear like crystal, brightly colored.

They looked almost exactly like the Resentment Candy.

Little Taotie looked up in surprise at the person grinning foolishly at her and asked, “How did you know?”

Tao Bin raised his hand proudly, “You turned Luo Hanchen’s daughter’s resentment into candy, and I remembered what that candy looked like. I told Dad as soon as I got back, and knowing you liked it, he immediately went to the factory to make some!”

With her face red, Little Taotie’s slight doubt grew bigger and bigger. She instinctively reached out, her voice very small, “I… am tired, need a hug…” After speaking, she was too embarrassed to look at anyone, fearing she might meet eyes that disdained her like her mountain father.

Suddenly, there was a rush of wind by her ear, and her body was lifted up; Little Taotie found herself in a warm embrace, close enough to meet a pair of eyes filled with adoration.

Under the sun, Little Taotie saw flowers blooming on his head, as if attending the liveliest party where petals intertwined and danced in circles, the flowers swaying madly in the same direction.

Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin exchanged a glance, then turned to Hua Jinyan, their expressions aligned.

Clearly, all three had seen Little Taotie’s envious look at the father and daughter in the airport and they all understood why she timidly asked for a hug.

One could imagine how many times she had been rejected by her mountain parents that even asking was so careful and weak.

Tao Tiancheng shook Little Taotie in his arms as if soothing a baby. Her face flushed, she whispered softly, “I’m not tired anymore, I want to get down.”

Tao Tiancheng hadn’t had enough of holding his delicate and sweet little girl. Seeing her shy face, he knew moderation was key. It was rare for his little girl to take a step, and it gave him hope.

The old father was right; although the little girl had refused recognition, how could the Tao Family just give up! They needed to touch her heart little by little, let her slowly forgive them, let her slowly accept them, and return to the Tao Family!

Back in the living room, Little Taotie climbed onto the sofa, hugged a fluffy bear, her eyes sparkling as if filled with countless stars, sneaking looks at the Tao Family people from time to time. When someone from the Tao Family looked her way, she quickly looked down, pretending to watch the bear.

Even Tao Bin couldn’t be fooled by her clumsy disguise, but the Tao Family had an understanding, seemingly having agreed before coming not to scare Little Taotie, to take things slow, so they all pretended not to see her sneaking looks.

Tian Leran explained the purpose of the visit, “The primary school entrance exam is coming up, I want to give Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan some tutoring, my identity is only Teacher Tian, I will not use any other identity to stress the kids.”

Cheng Guodong said with difficulty, “We have already hired a teacher.”

The doorbell rang, just as it happened, Cheng Guodong opened the door, and saw a simply dressed Feng Shui master.

The Feng Shui master introduced himself, “I am the new tutor, Ma Ming.”

Cheng Guodong was astonished, “Aren’t you a Feng Shui master?”

Ma Ming smiled, “Tutoring is my side job.”
